An inherent element of the influence of these factors are the accompanying various, both constant and variable loads. Detailed identification of these loads is extremely important both for the safety of use and the diagnostic possibilities of such a complex mechanical structure.

The process of operation and diagnostics of multimedia mobile scenes depends on the diagnostic susceptibility, the guidelines for handling scenes should be taken into account already at the stage of the design and construction process, which reduces or eliminates the risk and increases the safety of mobile multimedia scenes.

The article presents a semi-Markovian model of a system of preventive repairs according to age, c... more The article presents a semi-Markovian model of a system of preventive repairs according to age, carried out in water power plants with the use of Kaplan turbines. In the case of the analyzed technical objects, the profit per unit of time is considered as a criterion for the considered function. On the basis of the adopted assumptions, formulas describing the criterion function were presented for the developed mathematical model, and then the conditions for the existence of the maximum of this function were formulated. The proposed method makes it possible to determine the optimal time for preventive repair of the water power plant under consideration. Theoretical considerations presented in the article are presented on the basis of a calculation example developed on the basis of estimated data obtained from a real Kaplan water turbine operation system.

The element that has the greatest impact on reducing the noise associated with exhaust gas discharge is the final silencer. The design of the final silencerr has a significant impact on vehicle noise. The paper presents the study of the impact of modifications of the final silencer with a construction other than the factory one on the noise emission level of the vehicle. The tests were carried out in accordance with the Polish standard PN-92/S-04051 regarding the permissible level of external noise of vehicles.

An increasing necessity is observed to make reliable and flexible models of technical diagnosis, that are able to satisfy the changing specifications with design and operation. The analysis of technical systems by means of computational models is an optimal alternative, since it favors the capacity to obtain good results, with a low investment and a high accessibility to the knowledge of critical technical systems in operation; like the railway systems.

Therefore, defining the correct dynamic model is the main inquiry within the industry field. The main condition of the diagnostic process with coherence function is that the processes must be linear and stationary in the field of the dynamic time. The present methods for diagnosing the technical state of combustion engines are based on measurements of value steering currents. The ibrodiagnostic of combustion engines is an alternative method that uses the analysis of vibration processes generated in combustion engines, enabling the assessment of the engine condition by using the sensibility estimate of its vibration processes. The estimation of the state of combustion engines with sparkle ignition for the research of vibration measures is possible thanks to the utilization of the property of the coherence function.

Am Beispiel der Gestaltung eines (Kunststoff-) Teils des Fahrgestells eines Eisenbahnwaggons wird... more Am Beispiel der Gestaltung eines (Kunststoff-) Teils des Fahrgestells eines Eisenbahnwaggons wird dargestellt, wie sich Ersatzteile last- und fertigungsgerecht optimieren lassen. Basierend auf den Ergebnissen von theoretischen und praktischen Untersuchungen zu den mechanischen (Kunststoff-) Materialkennwerten, werden – anhand von numerischen Modellen und praktischen Versuchen – aktuelle Techniken der Produktentwicklung angewandt, die eine Optimierung des Ersatzteils nach unterschiedlichen Gesichtspunkten ermöglicht, im speziellen Fall der Lebensdauer des fertigungsgerecht gestalteten Teils unter Berücksichtigung dynamischer Lasten wie dem Verschleiß zwischen Rad und Schiene und der Fahrsicherheit der Waggons. Es wird die Analyse von verschiedenen Ausführungen des Bauteils dargestellt, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung einer Fertigung mit Hilfe von angepassten Technologien in einem industriellen Schwellenland.

This work describes an analysis of the effect of the transition curves in the coupling elements b... more This work describes an analysis of the effect of the transition curves in the coupling elements between the carbody and the bogie, by means of recorded variables under commercial operation conditions of a railway vehicle. A set of field tests are developed and applied to the railway system as a basis to validate a numerical model. The dataset is obtained from a numerical model based on the multi-body systems theory using a transient method. The study focuses on the dynamic evaluation of the vehicle to determine the transversal dynamic effect generated by the circulation in the transition curve sections, especially in curves with short radius. The work includes a case study of a passenger railway, and it is used to identify aspects of the railway system that could be improved by the operators, such as inspection routines, rail track design and elements subjected to considerable loads.

The changes of vibration estimators as a result of engine maladjustment, waste, damage or failure... more The changes of vibration estimators as a result of engine maladjustment, waste, damage or failure are the main idea of vibrodiagnostic investigation. Diagnostic investigations that use vibration to determine the technical state of combustion engines are very difficult. A limited set of proposed methods could have use in diagnostics. This paper presents a validation of research results of the use of the singular value decomposition (SVD) method. The research object is a combustion engine with power 55 kW at 830 rpm, which is feasible to obtain signals generated by vibration, as well as investigate the influence of the engine in the variation of the vibroacoustic data. Using the SVD method is possible to decide which symptom in the observation matrix is the best to recognise the technical state of combustion engines.

Such evaluation is performed through a mechanised revision established by state regulation and is based on the method defined by EuSAMA. The development of this analysis focuses on establishing the existing relation between the ballistic resistance integrated to a vehicle and the dynamic effect exercised for the modification of its mass, according to two reliability/safety driving measurement criteria: (i) tyre-road adhesion index and (ii) tyre excitation phase angle. The study proposes new elements to the current procedure established to evaluate the suspension of civil armoured cars considering the two measurement criteria, which can be acquired by a standard commercial suspension tester machine.

A test was developed based on experimental modal analysis (EMA) applied to a physical system as the basis for validating the numerical models. The study focused on evaluating vehicle dynamics to determine the influence of the dampers' technical state in each suspension state.

The state of the suspension varies with time as its components become old and wear out. A study is established regarding the behavior of the vehicle under the influence of the damping elements, proposing a methodology for the validation of the technical state of the dampers through the registration of dynamic variables under commercial operating conditions of the vehicle, by applying the Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) technique via Least-Square Complex Exponential (LSCE) method to experimental tests and numeric simulations to a multi-body system (MBS) model.

The technical state of the damping elements for a vehicle having two-stage suspension was evaluat... more The technical state of the damping elements for a vehicle having two-stage suspension was evaluated by using numerical models based on the multi-body system theory; a set of virtual tests used the eigenproblem mathematical method. A test was developed based on experimental modal analysis (EMA) applied to a physical system as the basis for validating the numerical models. The study focused on evaluating vehicle dynamics to determine the influence of the dampers' technical state in each suspension state.

The state of the suspension varies with time as its components become old and wear out. A study is established regarding the behavior of the vehicle under the influence of the damping elements, proposing a methodology for the validation of the technical state of the dampers through the registration of dynamic variables under commercial operating conditions of the vehicle, by applying the Operational Modal Analysis (OMA) technique via Least-Square Complex Exponential (LSCE) method to experimental tests and numeric simulations to a multi-body system (MBS) model.
