Toxicity testing is carried out to determine the potential hazard that may be produced by the test compound. Objective: This study was aimed to determine the in silico toxicity of anthocyanins (cyanidin and peonidin) using Toxtree v3.1.0 software. Methods: In silico toxicity testing was carried out using 2D structures of cyanidin and peonidin with Cramer rules, Verhaar scheme, Benigni/Bossa rulebase, Kroes TTC decision tree, Eye Irritation/Corrosion and Skin Irritation/Corrosion parameters. Data analysis on the results of the tested toxicity parameters was carried out descriptively. Cell cycle control through selective pharmacological inhibition of CDK4/6 has proven to be beneficial in the treatment of estrogen receptor-positive (ER-positive) breast cancer, particularly improving the progression-free survival of patients. Thus, targeting specific inhibition on CDK4/6 is bound to increase therapeutic efficiency. This study aimed to obtain CDK4/6 inhibitors through a pharmacophore-based virtual screening of the ZINC15 purchasable compound database using the in silico method. In response to the mitogenic signal, cyclin D is produced and retinoblastoma protein (Rb) is phosphorylated due to activated CDK4/CDK6. This causes various proteins required in the cell cycle progression to be generated. In addition, complexes of CDK1-cyclin A/B, CDK2-cyclin E/A, and CDK4/CDK6-cyclin D are required in each phase of this progression. Cell cycle dysregulation has the ability to lead to cancer. Based on its role in the cell cycle, CDK has become a natural target of anticancer therapy. The antidyslipidemic activity could be described by lowering TC (total cholesterol), TG (triglyceride), and LDL (low-density lipoprotein) level in the blood and by increasing HDL (high-density lipoprotein) level in the blood. The antioxidant activity could be described by inhibiting the ox-LDL (oxidized low-density lipoprotein) formation.Methods: AND was separated from the sambiloto ethanolic extract. Atherosclerosis in rats was induced by rich fat food (5% yolk, 10% lard), 1% calcium and 20.000 IU vitamin D3 for 90 d. The rats were treated with AND compound on the 61st day for 30 d. Bitter herbs (Sambiloto) have many pharmacological activities including antioxidant, antidiabetic... more Bitter herbs (Sambiloto) have many pharmacological activities including antioxidant, antidiabetic, anticancer, antihyperlipidemic and anti-inflammation. Andrographolide is a diterpene compounds contained in bitter herbs. It is known that andrographolide compound responsible for the pharmacological activity of the bitter herbs. This study investigated DPPH free radical scavenging activity from andrographolide diterpene lactone. This study was initiated with the isolation of andrographolide compound from bitter herbs and then testing their DPPH free radical scavenging. The results suggested that andrographolide had IC50 value of 5.45 mg. This means andrographolide has 50% DPPH inhibition effect, i.e 5.45 mg.

Warna merah tersebut disebabkan oleh adanya pigmen merah karotenoid. Karotenoid yang paling berlimpah dalam buah tomat adalah likopen sebesar 60-64%. Likopen memiliki aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi dibandingkan karotenoid lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (SUSENAS) periode 2010-2014 menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi rata-rata buah tomat di Indonesia lebih kecil bila dibandingkan dengan ketersediaan buah tomat dari Necara Bahan Makanan (NBM). Methods : This compound separated from Katuk leaves crude extract by column chromatography (a mobile phase: silica GF 254; mobile phase = gradient polarity of solvent (chloroform: methanol = 1:9-9:1). Male Wistar rats were fed with fat-rich diet (15% pig fats, 5% duck egg yolk) for 30 d to increase its total cholesterol level, triglyceride, LDL and to decrease blood HDL level compared to normal lipid level. It was studied the pharmaceutical caring in pharmacy-clinic-Unit of Wangaye Hospital-Denpasar, which provided to the hospitalization patients of PT. Askes (Persero)-Cabang Denpasar and the role of the health insurance verification. Aim of the study was to observe the role of pharmacist and health insurance verification in order to realize the patient safety caring with effective medication cost. The pharmacist in this unit has strived for a pharmaceutical praxis according to the pharmaceutical regulation but not yet optimal utilized his praxis to obtain a rational use of drugs and effective medical cost. There was not a pharmacist, which was employed by PT ASKES to verify the pharmaceutical praxis, which provided pharmaceutical care to the ASKES patients.

Excessive food consumption concerning to high calorie, dyslipidemia, obesity and cardiovascular d... more Excessive food consumption concerning to high calorie, dyslipidemia, obesity and cardiovascular disease. One alternative therapeutic approach in dyslipidemia patients is traditional use of herbal medicines such as Zingiber montanum rhizome. The aim of this study is to compare the anti-dyslipidemia activity of ethanol (EEZR), methanol (MEZR) and ethyl acetate extract of Zingiber montanum rhizome (EAEZR). EEZR, MEZR, and EAEZR were made by maceration method. The solvent extract was evaporated to obtain a viscous extract. Then a phytochemical screening for the compounds contained in each extract was performed. To induce dyslipidemia, Wistar male rats were given standard feed (80%), duck egg yolk (5%) and lard (15%) for 30 days, followed by administration of 1500 mg EEZR, MEZR and EAEZR dose for 30 days. On the 60th day, total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) blood measurements of the test rat were performed. Phytochemical screening result showed that EEZR, MEZR, and EAEZR contained flavonoid and terpenoid compounds. EEZR, MEZR, and EAEZR could decrease TC, TG and increased HDL in mouse blood significantly compared with dyslipidemia group (p <0.05). The TC and TG percentage decrease and the highest HDL level were owned by ethyl acetate extract of Zingiber montanum rhizome. EEZR, MEZR and EAEZR could decrease TC, TG levels and increase HDL in rat blood. The ability to decrease TC and TG levels from Zingiber montanum rhizome extract could be caused by the EEZR ability to inhibit pancreatic lipase enzyme activity so that it could suppress the fat absorption from the rats’ small intestine. The EAEZR ability was best amongst other because the active compound contained in non-polar Zingiber montanum rhizome is 2-methoxy-8- (3,4-dimethoxyphenyl) -1,4napthoquinon. EEZR, MEZR, and EAEZR have the ability to anti-dyslipidemia, where the best activity was owned by EAEZR.

The pharmacology activities of a herbal drug are influenced by the phytochemistry content, so in order to do a quality determination that provides phytochemistry profile and consistent pharmacology activities, a standardization is required. Fingerprint is the main standard to perform quality control for herbal drug. TLC-spectrophotodensitometry was used as the method in order to provide fingerprint profile of phenol compound. In this experiment, Piper betle leaves samples were extracted by reflux method using ethanol 96% as the solvent. Identification of phenol compound was done using TLC-spectrophotodensitometry with Silica gel 60 F254 as the stationary phase, toluena: ethyl acetate (93:7 v/v) as the mobile phase, FeCl3 and Folin-Ciocalteau as the reagent. Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) merupakan suatu produk alami yang terbentuk dari metabolisme aerobi... more Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) merupakan suatu produk alami yang terbentuk dari metabolisme aerobik normal dalam tubuh yang secara potensial dapat menyebabkan kerusakan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi antioksidan yang paling kuat dari ekstrak buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L), ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dan ekstrak daun kedondong hutan (Spondias pinnata (l.f) kurz). Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dari ketiga tanaman ini yaitu dilakukan dengan metode DPPH yang kemudian diamati dengan Spektro UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang maksimum 315 nm. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung persen inhibisi (% inhibisi) yang kemudian dibuat persamaan regresi linear. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa nilai IC50 ekstrak buah mengkudu yaitu 22,95 µg/mL, nilai IC50 dari ekstrak daun kelor yaitu 42,19 µg/mL sedangkan nilai IC50 dari ekstrak daun kedondong hutan yaitu 49,97 µg/mL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh metode uji konfirmasi yang telah tervalidasi untuk senyawa golongan benzodiazepin. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap senyawa nitrazepam, bromazepam, flurazepam, klordiazepoksida, dan diazepam. Sistem kromatografi yang digunakan adalah fase diam kolom Luna C8-strong cation exchange dengan fase gerak campuran dapar fosfat 0,05 M pH 3 dan asetonitril 90% (68,5:31,5, v/v). Sistem ini menghasilkan pemisahan yang spesifik, selektif, dan seksama untuk semua senyawa uji, namun tidak senstitif dan tidak tahan (robust).

The pharmacology activities of a herbal drug are influenced by the phytochemistry content, so in order to do a quality determination that provides phytochemistry profile and consistent pharmacology activities, a standardization is required. Fingerprint is the main standard to perform quality control for herbal drug. TLC-spectrophotodensitometry was used as the method in order to provide fingerprint profile of phenol compound. In this experiment, Piper betle leaves samples were extracted by reflux method using ethanol 96% as the solvent. Identification of phenol compound was done using TLC-spectrophotodensitometry with Silica gel 60 F254 as the stationary phase, toluena: ethyl acetate (93:7 v/v) as the mobile phase, FeCl3 and Folin-Ciocalteau as the reagent. Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) merupakan suatu produk alami yang terbentuk dari metabolisme aerobi... more Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) merupakan suatu produk alami yang terbentuk dari metabolisme aerobik normal dalam tubuh yang secara potensial dapat menyebabkan kerusakan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi antioksidan yang paling kuat dari ekstrak buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L), ekstrak daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dan ekstrak daun kedondong hutan (Spondias pinnata (l.f) kurz). Pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dari ketiga tanaman ini yaitu dilakukan dengan metode DPPH yang kemudian diamati dengan Spektro UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang maksimum 315 nm. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung persen inhibisi (% inhibisi) yang kemudian dibuat persamaan regresi linear. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa nilai IC50 ekstrak buah mengkudu yaitu 22,95 µg/mL, nilai IC50 dari ekstrak daun kelor yaitu 42,19 µg/mL sedangkan nilai IC50 dari ekstrak daun kedondong hutan yaitu 49,97 µg/mL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh metode uji konfirmasi yang telah tervalidasi untuk senyawa golongan benzodiazepin. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap senyawa nitrazepam, bromazepam, flurazepam, klordiazepoksida, dan diazepam. Sistem kromatografi yang digunakan adalah fase diam kolom Luna C8-strong cation exchange dengan fase gerak campuran dapar fosfat 0,05 M pH 3 dan asetonitril 90% (68,5:31,5, v/v). Sistem ini menghasilkan pemisahan yang spesifik, selektif, dan seksama untuk semua senyawa uji, namun tidak senstitif dan tidak tahan (robust).
