In this study, we present an alternative maximum power point tracking technique used in a solar w... more In this study, we present an alternative maximum power point tracking technique used in a solar water pumping system to produce the maximum power for modifying the amount of pumped water. This technique was actually created primarily to regulate the duty ratio of the buck converter. In order to control the solar array operating point in order to track the maximum power point, a nonlinear control approach based on the input–output feedback linearizing technique and the Lyapunov stability theory is used. By adjusting the irradiation level, the introduced controller-containing photovoltaic generator direct current (DC) motor pump system was put to the test. Our control method was modeled in Matlab-Simulink, and simulation results were used to show that it significantly outperformed a directly connected solar generator-energized pumps operational system in terms of power extraction performance under various sunlight conditions.

Abstract La 0.6 Sr 0.4 Co 0.8 Fe 0.2 O 3-δ (LSCF) perovskite was studied as a possible cathode ma... more Abstract La 0.6 Sr 0.4 Co 0.8 Fe 0.2 O 3-δ (LSCF) perovskite was studied as a possible cathode material for intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFC). The LSCF material, prepared using the Pechini method, exhibited chemical compatibility with the Ce 0.8 Sm 0.17 La 0.03 O 1.9 (LaSDC) electrolyte up to a temperature of 850 °C. The symmetrical LSCF/LaSDC/LSCF half-cell was studied through structural and morphological analyses. The electrochemical properties of the spin coated and screen-printed LSCF thin and thick porous films on a dense LaSDC electrolyte were measured between 600–700 °C in air over. The electrical properties of a half-cell in air gave low ASR values, 0.032 Ω.cm² at 700 °C and 0.077 Ω.cm² at 650 °C. The results demonstrate that La 0.6 Sr 0.4 Co 0.8 Fe 0.2 O 3 / Ce 0.8 Sm 0.17 La 0.03 O 1.9 half-cell could potentially be used as good candidate for its application in IT-SOFCs.
The inhibiting effect of Laurus nobilis extract on the corrosion behaviour of patinated bronze wa... more The inhibiting effect of Laurus nobilis extract on the corrosion behaviour of patinated bronze was evaluated by means of potentiodynamic polarization, statistical experimental design, Raman spectroscopy and quantum chemical calculations. The patina layer was electrodeposited at the Cu10Sn bronze alloy in aqueous chloride electrolyte under anodic conditions. Electrochemical and Raman characterizations showed the presence of various tin oxides and crystallized as well as porous cuprite in the chloride patina layer. The statistical experimental design was investigated to model the Laurus nobilis inhibition of the patinated bronze in sulfate electrolyte. The plant extract was found to act as mixed type inhibitor. The relatively low protection efficiency was related to the synergetic effect between the experimental parameters.
