In the processes of historical continuity and the mechanisms of transmission of cultural values o... more In the processes of historical continuity and the mechanisms of transmission of cultural values of modern civilizations, the concepts of culture and cultural and communicative formulae, which have a universal character, play a significant role. The article discusses this mechanism, while the basis of the analyzed phenomenon is the technique of repetition, manifesting the main semantic clusters for culture and civilization. Cultural and communicative formulae, representing the concepts of culture through cultural codes and standards, are passed down from generation to generation. Together with them, values that are relevant to representatives of civilization are transmitted. The idea that the repetition technique is in the focus of attention of a whole complex of modern sciences seems to be significant. The article is based on considerable material related to the functioning of such linguistic and cultural systems as Russian, Chinese and Anglo-Saxon, which gives it special significance. The material of the article will be useful in the framework of training areas related to the study of the culture of these regions and their languages.

The hypothesis that the main units of influence, "cultural microbes", are the works of recreational culture, which easily penetrate the consciousness of mass public, is formulated. The article proposes a discussion about how Western cultural patterns realize themselves in the vast expanse of the Pacific region. The focus of the proposed description is the sphere of youth pop music of the PRC and the cinematic novelties of South Korea. An attempt is made to analyze the channels of influence of Western ideologists on the younger generation of these countries.

The authors argue that it is impossible to deny the universal popularity of the English language. Knowledge of English is important to learners of Russian as a foreign language since it functions as a social language facilitating their transition to multilingualism. Thus, to improve the competitiveness of Russian courses, it is beneficial to supplement them with instructions in English and modern online tools with English interfaces. The paper offers two scenarios of in-class activities for beginner and intermediate-to-advanced learners of Russian, featuring key strategies utilized for students from Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China. The paper presents a comparative analysis of sociological data concerning teachers working in the... more The paper presents a comparative analysis of sociological data concerning teachers working in the Sverdlovsk region (Russian Federation). The data were collected in 1989, 2016, and 2021. The surveys investigated social ideas and stereotypes reflecting public attitudes towards teachers in Russia and teaching communities. The research is based on a hybrid multi-paradigm methodology comprising systemic, structural, functional, generalized, temporal, and procedural descriptions. We used the data obtained from questionnaires surveying teachers in 1989 (n = 1183 participants), 2016 (n = 529 participants), 2021 (n = 412 participants). Data processing was carried out with the help of the VORTEX software application.The comparative data analysis demonstrated that, while the proportion of female teachers and teachers of older age groups has increased over three decades, this has been accompanied by an increase in the education level. Today, the animal symbols of the Chinese horoscope are in demand by the most extensive range of electronic information platforms and traditional media. A natural question arises: what is the secret of the bestiary's longevity and why is it so successfully integrated into the latest communication technologies? In my research I make an attempt to demonstrate possible direction to identify points of similarities between Chinese culture and the rest of the world. Through the analysis of Chinese idioms and communicative formulae I specify common areas, which may be useful in intercultural translation between Chinese immigrants and reception countries. With the help of Leeds University Chinese language on-line corpus I calculated idiom indexes, which are suggestive of Chinese cultural variables. The article presents an attempt to offer a comprehensive vision of media research fi eld, ranging from a big sphere of media communication laws and regulations to cases of political and fi nancial representations in media. The key idea of the article is a new media research paradigm, based on the analysis of modern stereotypes. Stereotypes in media are described, according to the principle of information maximum.
