Both these two factors have been proven as main contribution factors towards effectiveness and efficiency of business organizations. Although most of empirical researches have concluded their finding with positive relationships between Motivation and Job Satisfaction, as well as complement relationship between Motivation and Job Satisfaction towards other organizational variables. However, conclusion cannot simply draw that Job Satisfaction equal to Motivation or vice versa. As such, this article literally declares separate treatments for the two Motivation and Job Satisfaction so that factors under these two categories of studies that may affect organizational variable can be more identifiable.

Financial markets play important roles for economic growth as they facilitate the flow of resourc... more Financial markets play important roles for economic growth as they facilitate the flow of resources to the most productive investment opportunities and help in terms of efficient allocation of credit in the economy. Recognizing the important
roles of stock market on economic growth, prudential international institutions such as World Bank, IMF and ADB pursued stock market development programs for emerging markets in developing nations. Hence, this study sought to investigate the determinants of development in capital markets in the MENA region from the perspective of three countries Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia. Secondary data for the ten years period of 1992-2012 were used to model the factors influencing the development of their stock markets. Using Correlation analysis it has been revealed that, macro-economic factors such as exchange rate, oil rent, income per capita, inflation, domestic savings and interest rate can be used to study development capital markets. The analysis also reported significant relationship between stock market development and some variables for some countries and irrelevant to others. The variations in results are explained by the economic and legal environment in every country and show some policy options. The findings are interesting in the sense that they provide variations of the determinants of the stock market development in the region. This would open area for research that is concerned with enhancing the collective development of the stock markets in the region through complementary and synergies.

The effects of the sudden growth can be felt through the increasing support provided by governments especially in the higher learning institutions. This recent rapid growth and
development in entrepreneurship courses and programs may be due to the belief that the entrepreneurial competencies required for successful venturing can be taught, or at the very
least enhanced by entrepreneurial education and learning. Despite the monumental international growth of the discipline over the last three decades, no significant empirical work has been conducted on the lecturers‟ relevant educational
qualifications necessary for effective teaching of entrepreneurship courses. This study is therefore, aimed at identifying the most relevant educational qualifications needed by lecturers teaching entrepreneurship courses in Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs) for both Malaysia and Nigeria. The data was collected through quantitative research approach using a structured questionnaire developed from extensive literature, involving five (5) point Likert Scale.

Hence good corporate governance has been major of concerned by investors to build up trust towards the company. In contrary, poor corporate governance frameworks in a firm faced the problem of lack of investor’s confidence and failed to perform well in the achievements. This research aims to investigate the relationship between corporate governance and firm performance before and after the financial crisis for year 2006-2013 of the financial sector in Malaysia. The independent variables used in this study were independent
directors, board size and CEO duality. While two dependent variables were chosen; earnings per share (EPS) and return on assets (ROA). Data was collected from the company’s annual reports for the year 2006 and year 2013. This study revealed that the independent directors and CEO duality have not influence firm performance before and after financial crisis (2006 - 2013). However, board size found to have negative relationship with financial performance for both years. It can be concluded that there is no relationship between corporate governance before and after financial crisis. Corporate
governance plays an important role regardless especially during the economic downturn.

This recent rapid growth and development in entrepreneurship courses and programs can be felt through the increasing support provided by governments especially in higher learning institutions. In addition, there is the general belief amongst the academics that the entrepreneurial competencies required for successful venturing can be taught, or at the very least enhanced by entrepreneurial education and learning. Despite the exponential international growth of the discipline, over the last three decades, no significant study has been conducted on the entrepreneurial competencies among entrepreneurship lecturers in High Learning Institutions in Malaysia, as well as in other countries. Hence, this study has evolved from the research gaps and vulnerabilities identified within the literature and revolved around the following research question: What sort of entrepreneurial competencies perceived to be important for teaching entrepreneurial courses in Higher Learning Institutions in Malaysia? To answer the question an empirical study was conducted involving lecturers teaching entrepreneurship courses of all Public HLIs in Malaysia. The data was collected using structure questionnaire. A total of 237 valid questionnaires were successfully analyzed. This study revealed that of the three entrepreneurial competencies (knowledge, skills and attitudes) studied, entrepreneurial attitude (mean 5.03) found to be the most important competencies for lecturers teaching entrepreneurship subject in Malaysia, followed by entrepreneurial skills (4.84) and knowledge (4.65). It can be concluded that to ensure the effectiveness of the teaching of entrepreneurship courses in Malaysian HLIs; the entrepreneurship lectures must possesses good attitudes in business as well as skills and knowledge in new venture creation and management.

Poverty still remains a development issue that continues to capture the attention of the policy m... more Poverty still remains a development issue that continues to capture the attention of the policy makers and international donor agencies. Nigeria is in a terrible paradox. The poverty appears as a contradiction considering the country‟s immense wealth. The situation has also worsened despite the huge human and material resources that have been devoted to poverty reduction by the past and present governments. The paper discovered that there is no any reasonable success achieved so far. Almost all the poverty reduction strategies implemented so far have failed. There seems to be widespread recognition that entrepreneurship is the engine driving the economy and society of most nations by creating new industries, employment and wealth. It has also been argued that new venture creation holds the key to economic growth and development of a nation. The relevance of entrepreneurship education as an effective strategy for poverty reduction and employment creation was highlighted. Recent studies indicated that entrepreneurship education encourages the growth of new businesses, promotion of improved decision-making skills and the increase in technology transfer between education establishments and the market place. It is therefore recommended that entrepreneurship development programmes and other policy measures should be more vigorously pursued by government in order to accelerate economic growth and development as well as effective means of jobs creation, new ventures development and consequently poverty reduction.

Without understanding the motivation factors of Malaysia academic staffs towards Open Innovations, the overall speed of the new economic transformation program will not be accelerated. This study hence has two main objectives; (1) to determine motivation factors that will exert academic citizens’ efforts to participates in Open Innovation; and (2) to test whether Promotion Opportunity become a moderator of their motivation towards Open Innovation. To achieve these objectives this study will use a new model of Personal-Environmental Motivation Factors which accumulated and developed from comprehensive reviews on motivation theories and empirical findings. The model will be furthered by a quantitative online survey method to reach all academic citizens from twenty public universities in Malaysia. It is expected that findings from this study will provides the universities involve as well as the Ministry of Education some key motivation factors which then can be used as a future promotion criteria to motivate academic citizens to participate in Open Innovation actively.

Therefore, the aim of this paper is to identify the influence of two corporate governance variables on firm performance. The corporate governance measurement was measured by the Independent non executive director and audit committee as independent variables and firm performance is measured by return on equity (ROE) and earnings per share (EPS) as dependent variables. This study is purely quantitative whereby data were collected from secondary source such as published in journals and Annual Reports of the companies. This study discovered that, there is a significant influence of corporate governance on firm performance. Therefore, the results show that good corporate governance practiceinfluence firm performance. Finally, it's hoped Idris Adamu Alhaji; Maryam Ismaila Baba; Wan Fauziahbt Wan Yusoff 108 that this study provides current corporate governance set-up in Malaysia that can be used to improve the development of corporate governance.

A sample of 124 respondents from two market leading electric and electronic manufacturing companies in Malaysia was invited into this research. Seven Motivation and Hygiene Factors that adduced in this research are Achievement, Recognition, Work Itself, Promotion, Company Policy and Administration, Pay and Benefit, and Work Condition; while Citizenship Performance is measured by 15 items scale of Organization Citizenship Behaviour that combine all causations as one unit of variable. Findings of this study have presented the directions of motivational factors towards Citizenship Performance for Generation X and Generation Y.

In Malaysia, the importance of entrepreneurship development has been a major concerned by a number of ministries and government agencies including the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). Being of the Malaysian Higher Learning Institution (HLI). Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) is responsible to provide entrepreneurship programme for the students for the purpose of enhancing student"s entreprenurship knowledge and skills acquisition. This paper provides brief information of the entrepreneurship programme of UTHM based on information gathered from the two sources of data namely; qualitative (document review and interviews) and quantitative data (survey). The qualitative data relied mostly on available information from the UTHM and MOHE. The quantitative data had been obtained from survey using structured questionnaire involving 598 first years" students from various faculties in UTHM. The information shows that there are a large number of opportunities for entrepreneurship programme for UTHM especially the programmes supports by MOHE. The university therefore, should play an active role in designing entrepreneurship programmes for the students. These roles should include providing physical facilities and loans for students to start their own business, providing networking and entrepreneurship training. However, since the involvements of the students in the programme at lower levels, more promotions of the programme need to be done in the future. The programme should be involved various parties outside the university (MOHE, community and students) as well as various departments of the university).

Hence, organizations need to determine the best way to motivate their employees. This paper explores and determines motivational factors for Generation X and Generation Y employees in electric and electronic industry in Malaysia. Quantitative approach with self-administered questionnaire method has been employed for data collection of this study. A total number of 124 respondents based on Cluster sampling were participated in this research. This study revealed that both generations X and Y showing some differences in their Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivation factors. It is recommended that organizations should modulate their operations and procedures to properly satisfy two distinct groups of generations.

Directors' competencies are seeing to be of importance to corporate governance. As this issue has... more Directors' competencies are seeing to be of importance to corporate governance. As this issue has not yet being studied extensively in Malaysia, this study determines the key competencies of Malaysian company's directors using qualitative approach involving two stages of Delphi Technique. In the first stage all information pertaining to directors' competences in the literature had been reviewed. In the second stage, the key competencies identified in stage one were the criteria for developing a semi structured questionnaire. Participants were asked to rank the competencies in term of their importance for directors' performance. Based on personel interviews with 41 participants eight types of competencies were found to be essential for Malaysian companies' directors. Financial competencies received the highest responses, followed by corporate planning, business forecasting, legal, risk management, marketing, human resource and international business. This paper provides important evidence to support the conclusions drawn from the study about the importance of relevant directors' competencies for board and corporate effectiveness.

The situation has also worsened despite the huge human and material resources that have been devoted to poverty reduction by the past and present governments. The paper discovered that there is no any reasonable success achieved so far. Almost all the poverty reduction strategies implemented so far have failed. There seems to be widespread recognition that entrepreneurship is the engine driving the economy and society of most nations by creating new industries, employment and wealth. It has also been argued that new venture creation holds the key to economic growth and development of a nation. The relevance of entrepreneurship education as an effective strategy for poverty reduction and employment creation was highlighted. Recent studies indicated that entrepreneurship education encourages the growth of new businesses, promotion of improved decision-making skills and the increase in technology transfer between education establishments and the market place. It is therefore recommended that entrepreneurship development programmes and other policy measures should be more vigorously pursued by government in order to accelerate economic growth and development as well as effective means of jobs creation, new ventures development and consequently poverty reduction.

Without understanding the motivation factors of Malaysia academic staffs towards Open Innovations, the overall speed of the new economic transformation program will not be accelerated. This study hence has two main objectives; (1) to determine motivation factors that will exert academic citizens’ efforts to participates in Open Innovation; and (2) to test whether Promotion Opportunity become a moderator of their motivation towards Open Innovation. To achieve these objectives this study will use a new model of Personal-Environmental Motivation Factors which accumulated and developed from comprehensive reviews on motivation theories and empirical findings. The model will be furthered by a quantitative online survey method to reach all academic citizens from twenty public universities in Malaysia. It is expected that findings from this study will provides the universities involve as well as the Ministry of Education some key motivation factors which then can be used as a future promotion criteria to motivate academic citizens to participate in Open Innovation actively.

This study discovered that, there is a significant influence of corporate governance on firm performance. A sample of 124 respondents from two market leading electric and electronic manufacturing companies in Malaysia was invited into this research. Seven Motivation and Hygiene Factors that adduced in this research are Achievement, Recognition, Work Itself, Promotion, Company Policy and Administration, Pay and Benefit, and Work Condition; while Citizenship Performance is measured by 15 items scale of Organization Citizenship Behaviour that combine all causations as one unit of variable. Findings of this study have presented the directions of motivational factors towards Citizenship Performance for Generation X and Generation Y.

In Malaysia, the importance of entrepreneurship development has been a major concerned by a number of ministries and government agencies including the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). Being of the Malaysian Higher Learning Institution (HLI). Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) is responsible to provide entrepreneurship programme for the students for the purpose of enhancing student"s entreprenurship knowledge and skills acquisition. This paper provides brief information of the entrepreneurship programme of UTHM based on information gathered from the two sources of data namely; qualitative (document review and interviews) and quantitative data (survey). The qualitative data relied mostly on available information from the UTHM and MOHE. The quantitative data had been obtained from survey using structured questionnaire involving 598 first years" students from various faculties in UTHM. The information shows that there are a large number of opportunities for entrepreneurship programme for UTHM especially the programmes supports by MOHE. The university therefore, should play an active role in designing entrepreneurship programmes for the students. These roles should include providing physical facilities and loans for students to start their own business, providing networking and entrepreneurship training. However, since the involvements of the students in the programme at lower levels, more promotions of the programme need to be done in the future. The programme should be involved various parties outside the university (MOHE, community and students) as well as various departments of the university).

This paper explores and determines motivational factors for Generation X and Generation Y employees in electric and electronic industry in Malaysia. Quantitative approach with self-administered questionnaire method has been employed for data collection of this study. A total number of 124 respondents based on Cluster sampling were participated in this research. This study revealed that both generations X and Y showing some differences in their Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivation factors. It is recommended that organizations should modulate their operations and procedures to properly satisfy two distinct groups of generations.

Directors' competencies are seeing to be of importance to corporate governance. As this issue has... more Directors' competencies are seeing to be of importance to corporate governance. As this issue has not yet being studied extensively in Malaysia, this study determines the key competencies of Malaysian company's directors using qualitative approach involving two stages of Delphi Technique. In the first stage all information pertaining to directors' competences in the literature had been reviewed. In the second stage, the key competencies identified in stage one were the criteria for developing a semi structured questionnaire. Participants were asked to rank the competencies in term of their importance for directors' performance. Based on personel interviews with 41 participants eight types of competencies were found to be essential for Malaysian companies' directors. Financial competencies received the highest responses, followed by corporate planning, business forecasting, legal, risk management, marketing, human resource and international business. This paper provides important evidence to support the conclusions drawn from the study about the importance of relevant directors' competencies for board and corporate effectiveness.
