Welcome to 
vampire_themes! An icon contest community dedicated to all things Vampire, from TV to Books to the Movie Screen!
This community is run by 
vampirelady & omnipredation. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! All entries are screened, as well as voting. Once voting is complete, and the winners are announced, all ballots (screened comments) will be unscreened and viewable to all members. We would like to thank the icon community whedonosity for the basis and idea for this website!
- Every Sunday one of the Mods will put up the challenge for the week. You must use one of the images provided, or otherwise stated in each challenge.
- Each member can enter up to three icons.
- We ask that you treat the other icon makers with respect, and try to keep vulgar comments out of the contest. No bashing, making fun, or whining will be tolerated.
- You must be a member of the community to enter as stated above.
- On Sunday when the icon challenge begins submit your icons to that post only! All comments are screened so only you and the mods can see them.
- You must host your own images, we suggest www.Photobucket.com . When you submit your icons you have to submit the IMG SRC and the URL Version.

- The icon you make can be either animated or still. But please remember to read the rules to each specific challenge incase of a change.
- Your entry must remain anoymous. Do not post your icon in other journals or communities until the voting period is over.
- Do not tell your friends to vote for you, not only would you unfairly win, you will tick off others in the process and earn yourself a good yellin' at.
- You have to be a member to participate in a challenge.
- Your entry must fit LJ standards: 100x100 size and 40kb, in either JPG, GIF, or PNG format.
- Respect the other artists and do not snag any of the icons in this contest for your own without the creators permission.
- If the rules stated above are not followed, the icon will be disqualified.
- Challenges go up: Sunday.
- Deadline: Friday at 10 P.M., Eastern Time.
- Voting: Friday-Sunday.
- Results posted: Sunday.
- You'll only be able to vote for three icons.
- Only those who are members or watchers of the community can vote, but we ask that you not ask people to come vote for you.
- You also can't vote for your own icons. If you decide to do this you will be disqualified and put on the “to-be-banned” list.
- There will be awards for: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Each vote for First Place will get 3 points, Second Place votes will get 2 points, and icons picked for Third Place will recieve 1 point.
- Every week, one icon from each challenge will receive a Mod's Choice award.
- If you are a winner and would like a banner comment and one of the Mod’s will make it!
