While the Title II: Education portion of the G.I. Bill is a major incentive for many who have entered the military since 1944, many veterans do not always use these benefits to continue their education. The literature indicates a gap where student military veterans lack the knowledge in what barriers may exist in the bill that may prevent them from attaining their educational goals if and when they decide to begin using the bill. There is an abundance of research to suggest that these barriers do exist and that student military veterans continue to have problems maneuvering around these barriers to successfully complete their educational goals. The purpose of this study is to identify barriers that are experienced by some military veterans and explore what influences these barriers may have had on these veterans in making their decisions towards their educational goals. The data for this study will draw from student veterans in two major universities located in the Pacific Northwest. The population for this study will include military veterans who are honorably discharged from the military and qualify to use the bill but never used or finished using the bill. An embedded survey design will be the primary analytic method. Survey data will be collected while students attend two universities.

Transition points serve as key milestones within the Ed.D. program whereby candidates are expected to demonstrate specific knowledge, skills, or professional dispositions before moving forward. Transition points were carefully developed to monitor candidate performance and to provide support and guidance for candidates who are experiencing challenges with demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, or professional dispositions.

Any active duty member or military veteran could have been exposed to and influenced by these barriers and become unmotivated and not use or discontinue using these benefits. If veterans do not use their educational benefits, this could result in

Why more instructors are not using blogging in postsecondary education in the attempt to improve student formal classroom communication and English skills? Since blogging is one of the most popular forms of media, educators can use this type of forum for

Being an expert in one field does not necessarily mean that one knows how to transfer the learning to students.

To determine if an assessment was to be conducted, a program proposal would need to be developed to explore this situation. In order for a particular environment to react and grow with other environments, it must be able to take on more experiences and education. A literature review of the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) and of Google Scholar was conducted to determine the relevance of the references towards the study.

When adults are involved in training sessions, there are various program planning models that can be used, depending on the goal of the training session. Researchers developed these models based on their ideological frameworks and goals. Research was conducted through the Education Resource Information Center (ERIC) and Google Scholar, and eight references were located. A literature review was performed to determine their relevance to the research. Results revealed a significant amount of similarities and differences between two planning models, and how they may be used in future research.

When researching and analyzing two scholarly articles of different design types, it is imperative to understand how vocabulary describes research, how research can produce varying data, how their results can be analyzed differently. References included two scholarly articles, one qualitative and one quantitative, and six secondary sources. A review of the two articles using research appropriate vocabulary would provide a more in-depth explanation of the research designs. Analysis revealed that even though both articles shared the same research design, various analytical techniques can produce different perspectives of the results.

Their designs were analyzed by the comparison of research references and research specific vocabulary to describe how various research methods were used. When researching and analyzing quantitative scholarly articles, it is imperative to understand how research designs can be the same, but their methods of analysis can differ depending on the study, and how vocabulary describes the research being conducted. The course instructor provided two quantitative articles which were analyzed by research references provided by the student. A literature review of the two articles and that of the research references were conducted to provide a more in-depth explanation of the research designs. Analysis revealed that even though both articles shared the same research design, various analytical techniques that are used can produce different perspectives of the results.

Maintaining an adequate number of dispatched qualified military personnel, in addition to current civilian dispatchers at the same location, improves the educational qualifications of the department during any emergencies. Various adult learning theories support how dispatch instructors teach their students. Research was conducted through the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) and Google Scholar website, and 13 articles were retrieved. A literature review determined their application in the subject material. Research revealed that the nontraditional learning program was supported by numerous adult theories. ADULT LEARNING THEORIES

Two adult learning theories, Malcolm Knowles' phase theories and Daniel Levinson's developmental theories, were researched to determine their relevance to three components of a nontraditional Doctor of Education program (lecture/discussions, scholarly papers, and reflections). Research was conducted through Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), and six articles were retrieved. A literature review was conducted to determine their application in the subject material. Research revealed that both adult learning theories were prevalent in correlating the components that were required of the program.
