Sorry for not posting new fiction as I promised. Had an insanely busy weekend, and now my laptop's in the lapshop. Fortunately, I have everything backed up on a flash drive, so I should hopefully be able to update on Friday.

This is the first part of the Norse barbarian epic I started last year. It's a fair detraction from the norm of my work--no science fiction or immortals or any of that stuff. It's been slow-going, though, because the inspiration comes and goes like the ocean tide, but maybe posting it up here will give me a little feedback to fuel my creativity.

That, or I just need to watch Conan the Barbarian again.

THE INSOMNIAC is the character I created several years ago. As his name implies, he doesn't sleep, and therefore he doesn't age. As a man of nearly three hundred years of age, he's seen and done more than any one person could ever imagine. Which is why he's being recruited by the world's top agency for dealing with anything other than what's "normal."

And now, without further ado, I give you the first chapter of my first full-length INSOMNIAC novel, "Art & Immortality." I'll be posting the story here piece by piece every two weeks. Comments and criticism are welcome. I want to know what people think. :-]
