Ergonomics and its Stress Relating Issues for the Employees Working in Banking Sector in Gujarat

This study aims to evaluate the ergonomics and its stress relating issues in banking sector in Gujarat. It was an attempt to investigate potential interactions between physical and psychosocial risk factors in the workplace in banking sector that may lead to stress because of ergonomics. Increased personal control and comfort needs of employees triggered the concern among banks to provide them with an environment and office design, which fulfills the employees’ needs and helps to boost their productivity. For this purpose, a questionnaire was developed and distributed to 100 banking sector employees and to gauge the effects caused because of ergonomic factors which leads to stress. And prolong exposure to such physical and psychological stress leads to serious hazards to physical and mental health of the bank employees. The findings of this study show that office design is very vital in terms of increasing employees’ productivity. Comfortable and ergonomic office design motivates the employees and increases their performance substantially.

Ergonomic Impact on Employees' Work Performance

Employees performance is based on various financial and nonfinancial factors out of which, workplace convenience and facilities are important particularly for manufacturing-related employees. This research article attempts to study the impact of ergonomics on the performance of employees. The research was conducted among 80 employees selected using convenience sampling method, in TUBE PRODUCTS OF INDIA, Chennai to identify the factors of ergonomics that support the employees to work efficiently and effectively in TUBE PRODUCTS OF INDIA Chennai.

Work stress occurrences largely contribute to job dissatisfaction, burnout and retention ratios in many organizations. As in most literature review, poor ergonomic workstation environment is among the major contributor in stress outcomes such as somatic complaints and intention to leave. Thus, this study aims to examine the relationship between ergonomics workstation factors and the work stress outcomes in the Banking Supervision Department in the ABC Bank. Thirty-one (31) samples of the employees were derived from a population of sixty two (62) staffs in the Department by using proportionate stratified random sampling. Effect of Ergonomical Factors on the Employees

To improve and enlightening production ergonomics is a search widespread to numerous organizations in diverse engineering and management zones. At the foundation is an ambition to eradicate hazards for job concerned musculoskeletal disorders, but recent observations on ergonomics have developed the discipline from a merely physiological, anthropometrical, and Psychosocial influential apprehension to an organizational, systems performance discipline. This research recommends that in an organization ergonomics infrastructure is made up of the structural, technical, executive and stakeholder comparative circumstances that allow or obstruct development of ergonomics. These circumstances spotlight on the positioning of diverse employees towards ergonomics concerns in an organization, the relationships between user, workers or employees, scenario, scheme and strategy they use for arguments, and the manipulate that occur from industryparticular culture, insolences and technical incorporation (or elimination) of ergonomics into engineering and production progressions. ERGONOMICS AND THE PERFORMANCE OF MICRO-FINANCE BANK WORKERS IN ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA

the focus of this paper was on understanding the place of ergonomics in workers performance. The study adopted the survey research approach and covered a population of 109 employees from five selected micro-finance banks in Imo State, Nigeria. The data used in the study were generated from both primary and secondary sources. However, the major instrument for data collection was a five point likert scale questionnaire titled Ergonomics and Workers Performance questionnaire (EandWPQ). The data gathered were analysed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC) and simple regression analysis with the aid of the 20.0 version of statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). It was therefore concluded by this paper that ergonomics has enormous effects on the performance of workers. In line with the findings and conclusion above, this paper recommends that Ergonomics should be leveraged as a policy and strategic drive towards enhanced workers performance. Moreover, achieving job-man-equipment-fit should be a prime guide in developing task performance process.

Impact of Office Ergonomics on Business Performance -(In Special Reference to Noida Region

In the past few decades, there has been a strong trend for corporate organizations and businesses to reconfigure the spaces of their offices in new ways and models. In addition, the shift towards more exciting and flexible workplace environment and the need to meet the diverse and growing expectations and requirements of different employees has led to the rise of debates about how and where productive work is accomplished. In a 2003 survey by Management Today magazine, virtually all (97 per cent) of respondents said that they regarded their place of work as a symbol of whether or not they were valued by their employer. Office ergonomics have been recommended by many studies as one of the key guides to equipping employees at the workplace to help produce best performance. It is the quality of the employee's workplace environment that most impacts on the level of employee's motivation and subsequent performance. How well they engage with the organization, especially with their immediate environment, influences to a great extent their error rate, level of innovation and collaboration with other employees, absenteeism and, ultimately, how long they stay in the job Al-Anzi (2009). This study helps to assess the impact of office ergonomics on business performance in Noida region; to analyze the office design, finishes and furnishing at the offices in Noida region, to assess the impact of office ergonomics in the design, finishes and furnishing in terms of their suitability and comfort of the employees; to identify the impact of office ergonomics on employee health, safety and security. Here in this study we use convince sampling and the target sample was from Noida region. We collect questionnaire by using questionnaire method and the analysis is done by using SPSS, correlation analysis and data was represented by using percentages, frequencies, mean, and standard deviation. The study demonstrated that office ergonomics deficiencies at the offices in this region which includes outdated office design and décor, inadequate office illumination, un-ergonomic office furniture, unsuitable office design and décor have variedly impaired the performance of an average employee by between 30 to 70 percent. The study recommends the relocation of the office to a purpose-built office facility that integrates high standards of office ergonomics, and companies should undertake post-occupancy evaluation one year after occupation of the new office.

The article concerns about human factors and ergonomics at workplace, how far a workplace and the equipment used there can best be designed for comfort, efficiency, safety, and productivity of human. Normally we use to blame poorly designed work stations, cars, sofas and other equipment and furniture for our aches and pains. Frequently the missing piece is how we actually use our own body. Even the very best ergonomically premeditated workplace is of narrow importance if the human being using it does not use their own body well. Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the thoughtful of the communications among human being and other elements of a organization, and the career that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize person well-being and overall system performance.
