The domain of the social work occupations is a quite recent one for Romania and this fact leads to a series of difficulties in correlating and harmonizing the university professional education with the labour market. The goal of this work is the study of psychological-pedagogical approaches to the understanding of the idea of professional competence of social work specialists as well as the role of study in the system of additional educations in professional-personal development of the listeners. In the process of study of this problem we define main professional competences of a social work specialist, in particular, special, communicative, analytical, reflexive, analytical, motivation-personal, social, individual. Cooperation in the field of professional training of specialists in social work: experience of interaction between the UC SYD and NVSU

Social work is a new independent type of professional activities that needs to be analyzed from theoretical and practical perspectives. The paper describes the experience of cooperation of the University College of Southern Denmark (UC SYD) and Nizhnevartovsk State University (NVSU) on the issue of professional training of specialists in the field of social work. The article shows that the academic mobility of students and teachers enriches practical experience of specialists involved in the transfer of knowledge; enables students to correlate advantages and difficulties of training; develops an idea of unchanging requirements for the profession throughout the world. The results of cooperation are reflected in practical and theoretical planes and presented in the article.

Changes in the socio-economic and technological fields taking place in modern society require the training of more qualified specialists – multifunctional, able to implement certain urgent tasks in conformity with contemporary world standards. ABOUT THE CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN THE TRAINING OF FUTURE SOCIAL WORKERS AND THE SOCIAL PRACTICE

The article describes the realms of manifestation of the profession of the social worker in Bulgaria. It analyzes the main legislative document, related to the career development of social workers. One of the goals is to provide correspondence between the social practice, the requirements in the sphere of social practice and the level of professional competency of the social workers. The article presents a stage in the development of a competency model for the training of social workers in the Faculty of Pedagogy of the Trakia University in Stara Zagora. Common competencies for social work are developed, based on an analysis of the job descriptions of social workers from different social institutions. These common competencies are formed at a later stage of the process of education of social pedagogy students.

Social Work Curricula to Today’s Labor Market

In a context marked by constant social changes with a level of complexity that requires the development of critical understanding of social issues, rethink the social work curricula becomes a priority to strengthen the training of social workers, in order to build a new society based on knowledge, skills development, research and intervention and that contributes to social development and the strengthening of the pillars of society: citizenship, culture, science and innovation. Thinking about these challenges and opportunities and how social work as a profession is responding to current social issues, we developed a training model in a public portuguese university with an integrated curriculum for the three cycles (bachelor, Master and PhD). In order to assess the relevance and adequacy of this model and how the labour market responds to the professionals needs. At the end of 2015 we created a series of indicators (a total of 42 indicators) and submitted them, initially, to a group of experts (through the Delphi's method), and after we applied it to the students of the three cycles (through an online survey), obtaining a total of 93 responses (response rate of 71%). The results were significantly positive and showed the recognition of competences gained and also th e adequacy of the training by the integration of this curricula, which leads us to expand this research to a national/international level to other universities to validate these indicators and ensure their adjustment to the social workers needs into the challenges of the labor market posed to these professionals.

Professional Training of a Specialist in Social Work for the Application of Different Methods

The article considers the peculiarities of preparing students in higher education to apply different methods of social work. The competencies that need to be formed in applicants for bachelor's and master's degrees in social work are described in accordance with the requirements of the Standard of Higher Education, field of knowledge 23 Social work. The analysis of the requirements to the professional training of the specialist, to the level of his knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the effective solution of the existing social problems, his qualities and values is carried out. The functions of a social work specialist in the context of readiness to apply different methods of social work are defined: analytical and diagnostical, predictive, organizational and communicative, protective, psychotherapeutic, rehabilitative. We consider the improvement of professional's training and their expertise, as an important direction for optimization of social work and implementation of mentioned functions. Among the key professional competences, we emphasize: the ability to cooperate in international environment and to identify intercultural problems in professional practice; the use of modern experimental methods of work with social objects in field and laboratory conditions; the ability to evaluate social problems, needs, peculiarities and resources of the clients, etc. Approaches to optimizing the process of training students are considered:

Social work in Spain: a new social and economic reality to develop in practical academic training

This work focuses on understanding how the current Spanish economic crisis is generating changes in the social and economic reality in which social work degree students are developing their practical training and on knowing if this new reality has an impact on their training and on the vision, they can create of the profession. Using a mixed qualitative methodological approach, we aim to visualize and analyze the opinions and insights that both social work professionals and students provide. Online and face-to-face interviews were conducted with social workers working as practice tutors. Likewise, two focus groups were set up and social work degree students at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain) were also interviewed. The main results show that the new scenario creates a debate not only among professionals, but also among the students themselves. They value this stage as an opportunity to rethink their future professional practice. This article may be applicable to the European context, given that the economic crisis is affecting, to a greater or lesser extent, on the different welfare states in Europe.
