The purpose and target of this study was to describe the efforts of the principal to improve the professional competence of teachers in Public Elementary School No. 162/I Bukit Sari Village, Maro Sebo District. The aspects studied included the efforts of the principal to improve teacher professional competence, as well as inhibiting factors. The author uses a qualitative approach and chooses the type of case study. The principal is a subject. The principal and teacher are the data sources used as sources of information. Data collection uses interview techniques and documentation studies. Analyzing data is done by reviewing, data reduction, presenting data, and verifying data to then draw conclusions. Masalah kepemimpinan dari dulu hingga sekarang selalu menjadi perhatian yang menarik dan senantiasa memberikan daya pikat yang kuat bagi setiap orang. Mengingat kepemimpinan menduduki posisi sentral dalam suatu organisasi, pemimpinlah yang menentukan perubahan, pembaharuan, perbaikan, dan menjamin kemamapuan organisasi untuk terus berprestasi di masa depan. Suatu organisasi dapat dikatakan akan berhasil atau bahkan gagal sebagian besar ditentukan oleh fungsi kepemimpinan, sehingga tidak berlebihan jika ada ungkapan yang menyatakan pemimpinlah yang bertanggung jawab atas kegagalan pelaksanaan suatu pekerjaan. Begitu juga halnya pada SMA Negeri 1 Bumiayu agar tercapai prestasi yang tinggi dalam menentukan standar pengelolaan sekolah dan dapat lebih bijaksana dalam menentukan keberhasilan para siswa, setiap guru yang mempunyai tingkat kinerja yang tinggi dan dapat menjadikan anak didiknya berprestasi, maka yang didapatkan adalah tingkat jabatan yang lebih tinggi dari sebelumnya. Perubahan sosial, inovasi, teknologi dan bertambah ketatnya persaingan menghadapkan pada penerapan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah pada tantangan yang sulit. Pemimpin dituntut untuk mampu merencanakan, mengkoordinasikan, dan mengorganisasikan sumber daya yang dimiliki agar berdaya guna dan berhasil untuk dapat bertahan dan berkembang di tengah lingkungan yang kompetitif. Dalam lingkungan yang demikian ketatnya kualitas sumber daya manusia sebagai aset yang utama yang merupakan tumpukan bagi kelangsungan hidup lembaga harus dapat dikelola dengan baik oleh pemimpin yang mempunyai kapasitas yang tinggi. Kapasitas kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin harus mampu memanage Intelleqtual Capital dan mengubahnya menjadi produk dan jasa yang berguna dalam meningkatkan efektivitas kinerja guru.

As an educational leadership, principals have a duty and responsibility which is quite heavy. Principals through their role and responsibilities to delegate it to aides and other parts. principal leadership in improving the quality of education include: instructive leadership style, leadership style consultative, participative leadership style, delegative leadership style and the quality of education through the process of determining the input and output processes (graduate). Efforts to improve the quality of school education is needed coaching to teachers and employees by the principal through (1) leadership style instructive addressed to teachers and employees who lacked the academic ability and spirit of performance is less, (2) a consultative leadership style in fostering the ability of teachers and employees of academic less and and the spirit of good works, (3) participative leadership style in fostering teachers and employees who have good academic ability and less fervor employees who have good academic ability, and excellent in performance.

The principal's leadership is very effective in increasing teachers' work motivation in carrying out their responsibilities and impacting the quality of education. Teacher competency enhancement must be carried out by the head of the madrasah continuously so that teacher competency always increases and the teacher becomes a great and qualified teacher. The objectives of this study include; 1) Describe the headmaster's efforts in improving the competence of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Maarif 02 Singosari teachers. 2) Description of the supporting and inhibiting factors that affect the head of the madrasah in enhancing the competence of teachers of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Maarif 02 Singosari. To achieve the above objectives, the researcher used a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive research. The location of this study was conducted at MI Al-Maarif 02 Singosari Malang. The informants in this study were the head of the madrasa and the class teacher. The technique of collecting data uses interviews and documentation. To analyze the author's data using qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings of this study are: 1) the head of the madrasa conducts an effort that is formally done namely by Rutinan Meetings, includes training, teacher training and seminars, inter-teacher / KKG group studies, supervision and class visits and Conducting Assessments, while non-formal activities are by familiarizing discipline and always providing motivation with the aim of increasing the teacher's insight, providing opportunities for teachers to improve the spirit of discipline and teacher skills,2) Supporting factors affecting the madrasah head in increasing teacher competency are the fulfillment of madrasah infrastructure that is fulfilled, enthusiastic and enthusiastic about the teachers participating in the training, and the support of the foundation while the inhibiting factors faced by the madrasa principals are; the head of the madrasa itself and the teacher who is not in the madrasa.

The aim in this study is to find out how the principal’s efforts in improving professional competence of teacher at MI Muhammadiyah Gripit. Dalam proses pembelajaran guru dipandang memiliki peran penting terutama dalam membantu peserta didik untuk mengembangkan potensinya dalam kemampuan kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor, guru juga berupaya untuk membangkitkan rasa ingin tahu, mendorong kemandirian dan ketepatan logika intelektual, serta menciptakan kondisi-kondisi untuk sukses dalam belajar. Education is able to support future development while education could develop the potential of learners in facing global competition. In the educational world, the teachers' professionalism is needed in order to gain a qualified output. To achieve this goal, principals are very influential in developing teachers' professionalism. Related to the problem, the purpose of this paper was to know the principal's strategy in developing teachers' professionalism. The method used in this research was qualitative. To develop the teachers' professionalism, the principal did organize a portfolio assessment system in the context of teacher's certification preparation to obtain an certificate educator through Professional Persistence (PKP) in the form of Classroom Action Research (PTK). The expected results, it can develop the teachers' professionalism in managing the teaching and learning process.

Principal's leadership is the main factor that supports schools in improving achievement. In this study aims to determine (1) Achievements that have been achieved by principals and schools that are led, (2) Characteristics of high school principals' leadership leadership, (3) Supporting factors for high school principals' leadership, and (4) inhibiting factors for school principals' leadership achievers in SD Negeri Tunjungsekar 1, Malang City. Where this is to find out the principal's leadership in improving achievement. The method used by researchers in this research is qualitative using a case study design. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, participant observation, and study documentation. The subject of this study was the Principal of Malang Tunjungsekar 1 Elementary School, Malang, with the principal being the principal and teachers. Data analysis is done by reducing, presenting data, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study are, (1) Principal achievers have a lot of achievements and the school they lead has a lot of achievements in various fields up to the national level. (2) Principal of SD Negeri Tunjungsekar 1 Malang has disciplined characteristics, has a lot of experience, is open, etc. (3) Good communication between the principal, teachers, students, guardians of students, and the community is able to be a supporter in improving achievement. (5) Barriers that occur in terms of time, energy, costs, and school conditions.
