This study aims to analyze city branding in tourist areas, with the variables being studied city brand attractiveness, tourism experience, city brand attitude, and city brand equity in tourism areas in Indonesia. This research method uses a quantitative approach with online surveys design, namely by taking a sample from a population and using a questionnaire to collect data. The main thing is that there is a hypothesis that will be tested for truth in this study. The survey questionnaire used is the Ministry of Education and Culture survey form. The research sample was conducted on 181 visitors to Bandung Barat, Indonesia. Structural equation modelling in this study uses a partial least square (PLS) structure. The main purpose of this study is to understand the influence of city branding toward city image and its impact on the intention to visit and decision to visit. The samples used in this study were 280 domestic visitors there is a tourism desti-nation in Yogyakarta City and they aware of “Jogja istimewa” as a brand of Yogyakarta City. It is the destination tourism that located on seven destinations consist of Keraton Yogyakarta, Pagelaran Keraton, Malioboro, Museum Benteng Vredeburg, Taman Sari, Taman Pintar, and Gembira Loka Zoo. This article develops and tests a model through multi-sampling comparison by considering city brand attractiveness as antecedents of a memorable city brand experience. A memorable city brand experience is an antecedent of city brand love; and tourist-based city brand equity (TCBE) as a consequence of a memorable city brand experience and city brand love. This study examined 169 tourists who came to Jakarta and 200 tourists who came to Yogyakarta as respondents respectively. The analysis used in this study is the structural equation modeling (SEM) using AMOS 20 as the supporting equipment. Quick Response Code Abstract: This study aims to empirically explore the effects of city branding and image on revisit intention to the City of Banda Aceh, Indonesia, mediated by the satisfaction of tourists. 114 foreign and domestic tourists who visited the city were selected as the respondents of the study using the purposive sampling technique. To gather the data, questionnaires were distributed to respondents and analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The study documented the mediating effect of tourists’ satisfaction on the influences of city branding and image on tourists’ revisit intention to the City of Banda Aceh, Indonesia. These findings suggested that to attract more revisit intention of tourist, the focus should be given on improving their satisfaction based on the enhancements of city branding and its image.
The Necessities and Consequences of City Branding and Emphasizing the Economy of Urban Tourism

Today, city branding is important in urban spatial, cultural, social and economic structures for sustainable development, but this has been less used for several reasons. This paper discusses the identification of the causal circumstances of city branding and the analysis of its consequences and impacts in two qualitative and quantitative phases. The extracted model is based on the qualitative research method of data theory, using theoretical sampling method, and in the quantitative phase, city branding outcomes were investigated based on correlation method. The results of this study showed that, on the one hand, city branding is influential as a predictor variable for creating an ideal image and also on the level of satisfaction of residents living as criterion variables, and on the other hand, it has a direct and significant impact on audience satisfaction level including tourists.

The evaluation of a city, as a brand, is essential for professionals who manage the marketing and communication strategies aimed at attracting potential visitors to the location. This study investigates the applicability of an instrument for evaluating a tourist destination as a brand. The study was applied in the city of Porto, Portugal, elected best European destination in 2012, 2014 and 2017 by the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC, 2020). Identifying and Ranking the Effective Factors on City Brand Determination (Tehran)

This study obtains the probable information by analyzing data pertaining to the sample and finally attributes this information to the main universe. To gather theoretical basic principles related to the subject and to investigate research background, library method has been applied. This paper has used multi-stage cluster sampling method. With regard to the significance level of less than 0.05 for all factors, Chi-square test approved the significant relation of all factors by 95% confidence. Spearman correlation coefficient test revealed that correlation coefficients of this paper factors (environmental, economic, social cultural, historical, infrastructural, political) with Tehran branding are 0.429, 0.555, 0.431, 0.462, 0.611, 0.643, respectively. Friedman ranking test ranked factors effective on Tehran branding as environmental, historical, infrastructural, economic, political, social-cultural, respectively.
