PERBANDINGAN KADAR FLAVONOID PADA EKSTRAK ETANOL DAN EKSTRAK ETIL ASETAT DAUN KERSEN (Muntingia calabura L) DENGAN METODE SPEKTROFOTOMETRI UV-VIS

The leaf and fruit kersen have saponin compounds, flavonoids and tannins. which is nutritious as a drug. Flavonoids are polyphenol compounds that have high antioxidant activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of flavonoids in ethanol extract and ethyl acetate extract and to find out whether there were significant differences between the two with UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. In qualitative tests, ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts were carried out using a color reaction. In quantitative tests using quercetin mother liquor analyzed using UV-Vis spectrophotometer obtained a maximum wavelength of 438 nm. The qualitative results of ethanol extract formed orange and ethyl acetate extract was formed in yellow which indicated the sample contained flavonoids. The results of quantitative analysis of the average level of flavonoids of ethanol extract were 5.12% and ethyl acetate extract was 52.56% with maceration time for 2 days. Statistical results using the ttest obtained t count 234.0661 greater than ttable with a value of freedom 4 with a 99% confidence level of 4.60. The conclusion of this study is that there are significant differences in flavonoid levels of ethanol extract and ethyl acetate extract.

ANALISIS KADAR FLAVONOID TOTAL PADA EKSTRAK DAUN SIRSAK (ANNONA MURICATA L.) DENGAN METODE SPEKTROFOTOMETRI UV-VIS

A research on the determination of the total flavonoid content of 70% ethanol extract and n-hexane extract of leaves of soursop(Annona muricata L.). The purpose of this study was to determine levels of total flavonoids, contained in soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata L). Extraction of chemical constituents from leaves of soursop(Annonamuricata L.) done by maceration method using 70% ethanol. To determine the flavonoid compounds in the sample extracts, compound analysis is carried out using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results were obtained levels of total flavonoids of the soursop leaf (Annona muricata L). Of 70% ethanol extract was 2,82%. And n-hexane extract was 4,48 %. So the total flavonoid content of the extract of soursop leaf (Annona muricata L.) by 7.3% .

Excessive and prolonged sun exposure can cause erythema and sunburn, premature aging and skin cancer. Kersen leaves contain total flavonoids and phenolics which can be used as active ingredients for making sunscreen lotion. This study was to determine the SPF value, the value of erythema transmission (% Te) and the value of pigmentation Transmission (% Tp) from extracts and lotions of kersen ethanol extract using the Uv-Vis spectrophotometric method. ANALISIS KADAR FLAVANOID TOTAL MENGGUNAKAN SPEKTROFOTOMETRI UV-VIS DALAM KULIT BUAH SALAK (Salacca zalacca V.)

The Snake Fruit (Salacca zalacca (Gaertn.) Voss) skin is considered as a waste, but there are a small number of people who use this fruit skin as an medicine. A compound that plays a role in snake fruit skin for the treatment is flavonoid. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of flavonoid contained in the extract of snake fruit skin. The method used to determine the amount of flavonoid compound contained in it is the UV-Vis Spectrophotometry method. The result of reading the absorbance value of each snake fruit fraction obtained from the methanol fraction was 0.568 and ethyl acetate fraction of 0.319, which were then calculated by using the quercetin linear equation standard, y = 0.0608 x -0.0188 with the correlation coefficient (R2) = 0.997. The result obtained for each snake fruit fraction for flavonoid level in the methanol fraction was 96.51 g/mL and in ethyl acetate fraction was 55.56 g/mL.

PENETAPAN KADAR POLIFENOL EKSTRAK DAN FRAKSI KULIT PINANG (Areca catechu L.) DENGAN METODE SPEKTROFOTOMETRI UV-VIS

Kulit buah pinang ( Areca catechu L.) belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik sehingga sebagian besar masih menjadi limbah dan sampah organik. Kulit buah pinang memiliki kandungan senyawa polifenol. Penetapan kadar polifenol perlu dilakukan karena senyawa polifenol dapat berpotensi sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar polifenol pada ekstrak dan fraksi kulit buah pinang. Kulit buah pinang diekstraksi secara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70%. Penetapan kadar polifenol total ditentukan dengan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis menggunakan pereaksi Folin-Ciocalteu. Larutan kemudian diukur absorbansi dengan panjang gelombang 756 nm. Hasil penelitian didapat bahwa kadar polifenol total pada ekstrak sebesar 2,395485 %, fraksi n-heksan sebesar 0,100894 %, fraksi etil asetat sebesar 0,994891 %, fraksi n-Butanol sebesar 3,88974 % dan fraksi air sebesar 0,962963 %. Kadar senyawa polifenol terbesar pada sampel ekstrak dan fraksi n-Butanol kulit buah pinang.

Tanaman pepaya (Carica papaya L.) merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman tropis tumbuh di Indonesia, yang banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber pangan seperti buah, daun dan bunganya. Namun, manfaat dari batang pepaya sehubungan dengan metabolit sekunder yang dimilikinya, seperti saponin, tanin, antrakuinon, alkaloid dan flavonoid, belum banyak diketahui. Flavonoid merupakan senyawa polifenol yang dapat berperan sebagai antioksidan, antibakteri, antikolestrol, antihiperlipidemia, antidiabetes, antiradang dan antikanker.
