Study of Users Requirements in Senior College Libraries in Islampur City
The college libraries are in the central in the chain of academic libraries and need to be paid serious attention. Presently the resource allocation to the college libraries is not commensurate with the increasing requirements of its users. This study focuses on the availability and inadequacies of library facilities and services in relation with the information requirements of the users in semi urban areas. For present study, 4 colleges from Islampur city, which is speedily urbanizing, have been chosen. For this study the survey method is used and the technique used is sampling technique. The sample envelopes 100% of teachers and 5% of students from total population and is significant sample size. The research tool used is questionnaire. It is found that the professor and student user in semi urban areas still follow the traditional way to get information and rely mostly on print media and prefer regional languages. Library staff is cooperative and willing to help the users. Considering this in modern age of information, we should approach towards maximizing the computerization and approach towards e-library concept. It requires that for this, library users and library staff should be educated in this area regarding information categorization, information dissemination and information search. They also need to be provided training frequently.
The Importance of Public Library for Youth Development in Malaysia

The purpose of this paper is to examine the usage of public library towards youth development. Generally, a public library offers information and educational resources to a community. Being that in the modern world, there are other modes in seeking information, the public library is often disregarded and being ignored of its existence. Factors that affect the use of public library such as accessibility, availability, comfortability and the maintenance of it plays an important role in determining its usage among youth. The Motivation of Senior Citizens in Visiting Public Libraries in Developing Country

This study aims to describe the motivation of senior citizens in visiting public libraries in Surabaya. This research uses desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection is done through questionnaires and interviews with elderly respondents who ever visit the Surabaya public Libraries. The population of this study includes elderly library users (aged 60 years and over) and they have experience visit public libraries in Surabaya. The motivation of the senior citizens can be divided into two, namely intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The recommendation from this paper related to collection, facility, and services improvement, including providing special space for senior citizen in public libraries in Surabaya.

Information became a basic requirement for every human activity in present digital era. Internet and communication technologies (ICT) have a lot of impact on collection and services of libraries. Now, libraries collect different types of reading materials to satisfy their user's information needs.The collage libraries play a crucial role to support teaching and learning activityof students and teachers of collages.With the changing ICT scenario, library administration always tried to show their ability to lead their academic roles i.e. satisfy the information needs of users.The present study is an attempt to examine the use of library collection and services by the U.G. students of Government Hrangbana Collage, Aizawl. .

For the changing trend of the modern libraries the users demand has been increasing in a rapid manner and therefore the involvement of the libraries and their librarians also have been increasing. Various new technologies have been evolved for the libraries of today's world which have been changing the nature of the traditional methods. College libraries are also an important part for a college and we observed that the mode of procurement, storage, processing and particularly the delivery of services of the college libraries have also been changing with the modern trends. The College libraries are now organizing various capacity building programmes like seminar, conferences, workshops, training programmes, users orientation programmes and many other activities using modern techniques which have been developing the career of the students for their future endeavors. The present study is based on the college libraries of West Tripura District. For the present study, Survey Method as well as a case study approach has been adopted. The data has been collected by designing a questionnaire. The questionnaire has been supplemented by the Interview of the College Librarians for their view and ascertaining of facts submitted through questionnaire. The study has been conducted during April 2018 to May 2018. Purposive Sampling Technique has been adopted for selection of sample for the study. The study examines the present pictures of the college libraries and their role in providing capacity building and career development programmes and services to their library users for using the library effectively and empowering them to use the resources for their studies and choose the right career for their future higher study and employment.
A Study of Library user needs & services of Education College, Red-Shirala.
Abstract: This paper try to attempt that, a study of library user needs & services of education college, red-shirala. The study is conducting at Education College, red-shirala to know the library user needs & services. Questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. The study found that orientation programmes should be organized for the library users. With the help of such type of programmes the users & libraries will be able to fulfill the user’s need of information. In order to fulfill these objectives the college library provides services usually referred to as reader services. These services are meant to bring the library, its services & its personnel into direct contact with the library users. Purpose: The children and young adults’ libraries can play an effective role aside the formal educational system, especially when the school libraries are weak in a region. This study aims to investigate the need for educational programs for library members of institute for the intellectual development of children and young adults in Ahvaz regarding provision of non-book/electronic materials services. Method: This research is an analytical survey with an applied purpose. An organized questionnaire was used for collecting information. The results were presented using descriptive statistics. The research community consists of two groups of managers (7 people) and members of the libraries of the intellectual development center for children and adolescents in Ahvaz (172 people). Results: The findings showed that 33.7% of the members go to the library twice a week and 54.07% of them use library for personal study. Iranian Young Adults’ Perceptions and Use of Public Library Services

The main objective of this survey was to know young adults’ perceptions and use of public libraries in Sabzevar, Iran. Research population included students aged 12 to 15 who were public library members and were using public library services several times in a year. According to Cochran sampling size formula, the sample size was calculated 180 persons that were chosen by random cluster sampling technique. Required data was gathered by a researcher made questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS 20. The findings showed that the necessity of public library use was more than moderate extent from the young adults’ perspective. The use of loan services, reference services, and information services was more than moderate extent, while use of extension services was less than moderate extent.
