Study purpose. The aim of this study was to examine the levels of physical activity among undergraduates living in ADISU (Agency for the Right to University Study) residences in order to better understand their situations and highlight the differences between male and female students. Materials and methods. Eighty participants between the ages of 18 and 28 were enrolled in this study. A questionnaire was given to each participant who was selected for the study in order to gather general data and measure physical activity levels. The promotion of a healthy lifestyle is the main goal of physical education in many countries. However, very little is known about the relationship between different residential areas and physical activity patterns among young people. Purpose of Study: To compare the physical activity levels (PAL) of university student in accordance with gender (male, n=250; female, n=200) and residential areas (in campus; n=196 and out of campus; n=254). Methods: This study included a total of 450 voluntary healthy subjects (21.04±1.61 years old) from two different residential areas. PAL's of students were evaluated by using the long form International Physical Activity Questionnaires. BMI was computed as kg/m 2 . Data from the questionnaires was collected in a suitable relational database and analyzed with statistical software. The independent-samples t test was applied to understand differences in Physical Activity (PA) levels in terms of genders and also their residential areas. Results: Total PAs (MET min./week) of male students were higher than female counterparts (p<.01). On the other hand, PA at home or in garden domains of female students were higher than male counterparts (p<.05). It was observed that male students walk more and performed more moderate activities (MPA) than female counterparts (p<.01). When their residential areas were taken into consideration, students living in their own house had higher total PA (MET min./week) and higher MPA than students living in dormitory (p<.01). Conclusion: This study showed that PAL is higher for male students than female counterparts as indicated in the current literature. On the other hand, living far distant from campus played important role in having higher PAL in this study.

The importance of regular physical activity (PA) in improving and maintaining health has been recognized. Future professions of the female students from the selected faculties are oriented toward preservation of health and passing of such habits to children and adults. The aim of this research was to determine the level of PA of female students from the Faculty of Kinesiology (FK), Faculty of Medicine (FM) and Faculty of Teacher Education (FTE), and the differences in PA between the groups. The sample consisted of 255 female students, 78 FK, 84 FTE and 93 FM students. Habitual PA was determined by the Baecke questionnaire. Central and dispersion parameters were calculated as well as the KolmogorovSmirnov test. Differences in health characteristics between different physical active female students

The aim of this study was to determine differences in health characteristics based on the frequency of dealing with any physical activity, with the student population of female students at the University of Split. The study included 2849 students of undergraduate studies at the University of Split, ages 19-25 years. Physical engagement was conducted through three sub- variables: sports, recreation and walking, while for assessing health characteristics were determined the incidence of nine different diseases among students. Within the health category was analyzed smoking status of college students. The Level of Physical Activity of University Students
Many studies paid attention to the worldwide decline in physical activity (PA) and increase the sedentary and obesity. The inactivity at different ages it is a major problem for most countries. The aim of the study is to investigate the level of physical activity of university students. In according with the results will see how active they are and what kind of measure may propose to increase the data obtained. Self administrated International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) were used to investigate how active are the university students. Questionnaires were interpreted as: 1) vigorous activity; 2) moderate activity; 3) walking, and 4) sitting in last seven days. A total of 334 students were participated at this study. Anthropometrics measurements were report as height, weight and body mass index (BMI). Most of students have a normal body weight. Physical activity was reported for all group and by genders. Male students are most active comparative with female students.The findings show reasonable basis for health and active life style among students.

Objective: Scientific research provide information concerning an insufficient level of physical activity of young people. This study was conducted to determine the levels of physical activity among university students. Materials and Methods: In 2014-2015 academic year, 510 students voluntarily participated in this study. To obtain data, the Personal Information Form and to determine the levels of physical activity. International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) were used. Results and Discussion: It is found that the 32.8% of students were not physically active, 49.2% of them had low physical activity level, 18% of students had adequate physical activity level to protect their health. Introduction. The current problem of physical inactivity in population is analysed by professionals in various age categories. One of the groups, not that often observed, are university students, who should be able to present their attitude to regular physical activity as well as its contribution to healthy lifestyle. The aim of the research was to find out the structure of physical activities in university students in various study programmes (teacher programmes, sport programmes) and also to determine their attitude to physical activity and the reasons for (not) including physical activity in daily regimen. Methods. The research group involved students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Comenius University (n=53, 26 men and 27 women), Faculty of Education, University of Trnava (n=53, only women) a University of P. J. Šafárik in Košice (n=45, 30 men, 15 women). The data were collected by questionnaire with open, semi-open and closed questions. The data were analysed by MS Excel and nonparametric Chi-square test. Results. The students with sports profile presented more positive attitude to physical activity than the other students of other study profile. On the other, hand students of the teacher study profile were least satisfied with the offer of physical activities at their faculty and they would like to perform more activities in their leisure time if they had better conditions. The reasons for not performing physical activity were also various. Students with teacher profile chose not enough time (52%), however, students with sports profile chose their health condition as the priority (37%). The reasons for including physical activity in daily regimen were in the group of teacher students supporting health and body forming, the other groups of students preferred fun and challenge. The time spent with sedentary activities was not different regarding the study profile but regarding sex. The results showed a clear difference between men and women, where the most men chose 1-2 hours of sedentary activities every day, whereas women suggested 3-4 hours of sedentary activities. Conclusion. Our research data confirm the importance of analysing the reasons for performing or not performing physical activities by university students, which could help to create an optimal model of a physical programme for various study profiles. The results suggest that the students of teacher programmes will prefer health-oriented activities with emphasizing body forming, whereas students of sports programmes will prefer activities focused on performance, challenge and experience.

Physical inactivity is also a significant problem in East-central Europe and Hungary where 20% of the population does sports regularly while 53% of them never, in turn, 24% of the people does sports few times monthly. Insufficient physical activity is an increasing public health problem among young people and adolescents. Several types of research examined the quality and extent of physical activity related to different factors (social demographic, psychosocial, and lifestyle, etc.). Material and methods. Interviewing was carried out from april to June 2015 at the same time in each Visegrad country. IPaQ extended physical activity questionnaire and a self-edited questionnaire were used to assess nutritional and activity habits (In order to evaluate data, InDaRES software, and paper-based questionnaires were used for 2145 persons from different secondary schools). Results. In low Pa level category, male students were rather found while in high Pa level category, male students showed higher ratios than females. From 56.7% to 77.8% of male students occurred in high Pa level category opposite to female students where this rate was from 42.4% to 67.4%. we found significant gender differences in total MEt/week values (p<0.001) in the V4 countries. Conclusions. we found significant differences in the Visegrad countries and between sexes. these differences draw the attention to improving deficiencies in physical activity of secondary school students with well-defined risk group interventions.

The purpose of this study is to examine the difference of students' physical activities in Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in urban city with the students of the Universitas Galuh Ciamis (Unigal) in the rural area. In addition, it is also seen in the extracurricular involvement in each university. The method used is causal comparative. The samples are 283 people (148 UPI students and 135 UGM students). The instrument used is the IPAQ-SF that has been translated into Indonesian. The results of the study show that there is no difference between the physical activities of UPI and Unigal students (p .065), but there is interaction between the college (campus) with the involvement of extracurricular (p .034).
