ENHANCING STUDENTS' CREATIVE WRITING SKILLS: AN ACTION RESEARCH PROJECT
This research aimed to improve written expression (composition) skills of 5th grade students of an elite private school. The research was designed under the paradigm of action research. A total sample of 39 students' from the same grade was chosen for the study. The baseline assessment was carried out to explore the pre-intervention writing skill score of the students prior to the intervention cycle one. Later, intervention and writing skill support strategies were carried out for eight weeks. In the end, post-test was carried out to explore the differences occurred in the writing score of the students as a post intervention effect. The findings obtained from the quantitative data showed the improvement in the written expression skills of the students. It was observed that through taking the above mentioned measures, the teachers can help students improve their writing skills.
An Action Research Study on Improving Seventh Standard Students’ Creative Writing Skill in English

One of the most vital elements of education and literacy is Language. Learning a language is similar to swimming and riding a bicycle. Thus the present action research is aimed to improve the writing skill of the 7 th standard students creatively in an Elementary school. A total sample of 15 students' from the same grade was chosen for the study. The baseline assessment was carried out to explore the pre-intervention writing skill score of the students prior to the intervention cycle. Later, intervention and writing skill support strategies were carried out for six weeks. In the end, post-test was carried out to explore the differences between the pre-and post-test score of the students. The finding of the present work is suggested that writing skill of the students has been increased up to a satisfactory level. The creativeness of the writing skill was also increased.
Improving Students Writing Skill through Lesson Study-based Classroom Action Research

This research aim at finding out (1) students ability in writing descriptive text through Lesson Study – based Classroom Action Research (CAR) and (2) the impact of using Lesson StudyBased Classroom Action Research toward the teaching of English for Tourism at students of English Language Education Study Program, Khairun University. The method used in this research was descriptive analytic with qualitative approach. Research subjects were one lecturer model, 2 observers and 38 students of English Language Education Study Program. Technique of collecting data used were observation, interview, documentation study and assessment test (Pre and post-test). The implementation of this research was conducted in three stages utilizing the Guidelines of Action Research. The stages consist of Plan, do, see and reflection. This purpose of this thesis is describing the effect of the implementation of creative writing on ELT (English Language Teaching) to inspiring the students" writing activities in Eleventh Grade of MAN 2 Ponorogo in Academic Year 2017/2018.The subject of this research is the student of Eleventh Grade of MAN 2 Ponorogo. This research provide classroom action research method which doing the observations about the students" writing learning activities before and after the research and monitoring the development of the students" tasks by guiding them in creative writing. The researcher also makes the interview with the students" experienced when they"re conducting writing activities. The data comes from students" interviews and observation conducts to students" writing paper, which one that they are finding problems in finding ideas than the other students within their understanding to find the ideas. This study will show you how creative writing will improve the students" ideas and also provide their abilities to stay in their way of writing; they can also find their style in writing. Creative writing also produce their energy in order to find new discovery in the topic they had been chosen. It also guide them to be discipline, confident, imaginative, be a planner, because they will make their deadline a project of writing, they also try to be a pioneer, not a plagiarism. The researcher suggestion about this research were the student should read intensively to increase their vocabularies, doing the example of the task for more understanding about the lesson, and the last the teacher should apply the various the teaching method to motivate the student in learning English.

This descriptive study investigated teachers' implementation of writing as a process in English classrooms of Ghimbi Preparatory School. To this effect, two questions were raised. To deal with these research questions, observation, questionnaire and interview were used. One hundred and twenty students and 3 teachers participated as respondents. The students responded to the questionnaire and the the interview. Three classrooms were observed while the teachers were teaching writing skills. The responses to the questionnaire were presented in tables and described quantitatively in frequency and percentages. Teachers' responses data from the classroom observation were qualitatively described. The result showed that the targeted teachers neither encourage students to be engaged in the writing activities nor do they teach writing skills using the process a interest were the major problems the teachers had in the implementation of the process writing. Based on the findings, it was recommended that the teaching of writing as students process has to be implemented in English classrooms of the targeted grade level to enable them be effective composers.
Developing Creative Writing Skills in EFL Students: An Action Research

This research offers the scenario of developing creative writing skills in a real EFL context. As creative writing is one of the important skills to be developed in students, this research aims to intervene action plans in the EFL class to develop students' creative writing skills. Action research was used as a method for the research and the research has been guided by action learning theory.With the help of different activities developed as an action plan, students were involved in writing tasks and the data were collected from the observations. Students' behavior was studied while they were involved in creative writing activities. Findings give the rendering of the effectiveness of using creative writing skills in EFL class. The use of different activities and their details are the portrayals of the classroom realm which demonstrates the possibility of creative writing as a powerful tool to develop the writing skills of students.

Improving Students Narrative Writing Process Through Series of Picture Classroom Action Research

This research is done to know the benefits of using series of pictures in the process of narrative writing. It is also expected by the teacher to know that using series of picture, the students can be stimulated to think cratively in gaining the ideas and learning the narrative writing well. The method of the research quasi-experimental design to see the effectiveness series of picture toward students 'writing skill in narrative text. The population of this reserach was twelfth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Cijati Cianjur and the sample was class XII. The data was collected by using pre-test and post-test measurement on the control and experiment class and comparing the gained scores between both classes. The result presented that the picture series as media in writing narrative text is effective towards students'writing skill in narrative text. The result of calculation presented that in the significance degree of 5%,the value of t-test (to) >t-table (tt) (5.514> 1.992).According to the criteria of the test, the result showed that there is a significant diferrence between students'writing skill in narrative text by using picture series as media and without picture series.it means that, the picture series is effective and applicable as the media in writing narrative text.
Analysis of Secondary Level English Teachers' Action Research Reports
Action research (AR) is a methodical process of self-inquiry accomplished by practitioners to unravel work-related problems. This paper analyzed the action research reports (ARRs) in terms of objectives, methodologies, citations and references, structures, areas covered in the problem, and lengths purposively selecting 30 samples of ARRs prepared in the 2020-2021academic year by all the permanent secondary level English teachers of community schools in Nuwakot district. The ARRs were analyzed descriptively by applying document analysis as the method for this study. From this study, 17% of the ARRs were found without clear objectives, 60% ARRs were without the methodological section, and around 77% of ARRs were prepared without in-text citations and references. The variation was found in the ARRs in terms of the format, no research was found in relation to the listening skill, and 23% of ARRs were related to solving writing-related problems. The ARRs were found to have 418-5312 words in terms of length and the language used especially in the findings were vague. It can be concluded that there is a great variation in the ARRs and a gap between theories and practices of AR in terms of objectives, methodologies, citations and references, structures, and length.
