Derviš ef. Spahić occupies a special place among Islamic scholars in our region. It is said that great nations have institutions and small – great individuals who ensure the continuation of their nation by their extraordinary sacrifice. This outstanding scholar held speeches, wrote, read and studied, in particular the Qur’an and hadith. He organized seminars for imams and he personally visited numerous jamaats in Central Bosnia and beyond, telling them on those occasions about the basics of pedagogical work. He gave imams school boards that he himself procured and paid for as well as wall boards for learning Arabic script, which he prepared and printed at his own expense. This came as a great relief to imams at a time when it was not easy to get textbooks for teaching Arabic script and similar professional literature. DARUVAR U DJELU JÁNA ČAPLOVIČA "SLAVONIJA I DIO HRVATSKE" Sažetak: U radu se uz uvod u biografiju slovačkog etnografa i publiciste Jána Čaploviča donosi u prijevodu na hrvatski jezik jedno poglavlja iz njegovog kapitalnog djela "Slavonija i dio Hrvatske", I-II., Pešta, 1819. koje govori o daruvarskom kraju.

O hrvatskoj leksičkoj komponenti u Miottovu "Vocabolario del dialetto veneto-dalmata

U članku se obrađuju hrvatske posuđenice koje su uvrštene u Vocabolario del dialetto veneto-dalmata Luigia Miotta (Trst 1984. i 1991). Neujednačena ortografska, fonološka i morfološka adaptacija otkrivaju nam da te riječi često nisu čvrsto uklopljene u dalmatinsko mletačko narječje. Upućuje se na natuknice u kojima autor Rječnika nije prepoznao kroatizme. 3 Filipović (1986, § 2.5.3) preuzima od Haugena razlikovanje triju stupnjeva integracije posuđenih leksičkih elemenata: 1. strana riječ (engl. foreign word) ili model, 2. tuđica (foreign loan) ili kompromisna replika (compromise replica), 3. posuđenica (loanword) ili replika (replica).

Derviš-pasha Bajezidagić and his work “Zubdetu’l Es’ar’’

In this short work we shall try, by using the autobiographical poetry of Dervis-pasha Bajazidagic, to point out on Dervis-pasha as a poet and Bosnian beglerbey. Further we will turn attention to one of Bajazidagic’s works, which is now unknown in bosnian-herzegovinia literary history. The work is entitled “Zubdetu’l-Es’ar’’ (manuscript: Topkapi Saray Muzesim Kpt. REVAN – No. 824), which was presented to the public by Karatay, in his Catalogue, wrongly attributed to Saddedin, while correction on this was given by Zehra Toska. She showed that it was instead, the work of Dervis-pasha Bajazidagic from town of Mostar, who was in 1582 at the time of writing this work, a scholar at the Court, and fifteen years later become a bosnian beglerbey.
