Use and Users satisfaction in library resources
This study is an investigation of use of library resources, user's satisfaction in library resources and services and information seeking behaviors of the students and research scholars of Tezpur University. 200 questionnaires were distributed among students and research scholars of Tezpur University to collect relevant data. 79.5%(159) library users responded where 32.07%(51) respondents visited Central library, Tezpur University everyday for borrowing library books. It is found that 82.39%(131) users borrowed text books, (79.87%)(127) consulted journals and 75.47%(120) read news papers to meet their information needs. Library is playing vital role to meet multidimensional demands of students, and research scholar for information and knowledge. It is felt that user guidance is necessary to help library users to meet their information needs and make users aware of the available library resources and services.

Change has brought various dimensions in all aspects of human life. The availability of information at finger tips has enforced the libraries to get changed radically. Today, modes of information generation, its dissemination and management are different which we had in the last decade. Similarly, information needs of library users have also changed extensively and libraries are trying to keep pace with daunting changes taking place day by day. The Learning Resource Centre of Jaypee University of Information Technology has been front runner to adopt new technology to serve its users proactively. In this chapter, a survey was conducted to know the extent of satisfaction level of library users with respect to library services, infrastructure and on available information resources. A light was also thrown on how library users are using the library.

User Satisfaction with Library Resources, Services and Facilities: A Study

This study is an investigation of use of user’s satisfaction in library facilities, resources and services of the students of C. S. Bembalagi Arts, SHA. M. R. Palaresha Science and G. L. Rathi Commerce College Library, Ramdurg. 200 questionnaires were distributed among students to collect relevant data and 170 received back. The findings of the study shows that 70 (41.18%) of respondents have the habit to visit to the library daily, majority 95 (55.88%) of respondents are highly satisfied with the collection of general books, majority 90 (52.94%) are satisfied with collection of text books 95 (53.3%) respondents considered circulation services as excellent. The study suggested that college library should carry out user studies at regular intervals and user guidance is necessary to help library users to meet their information needs and make users aware of the available library resources and services.
Library Patrons' Satisfaction and Information Need Assessment
Library satisfaction survey is conducted regularly to determine the strengths and weaknesses of its services and collections. The result becomes baselines in the planning of library activities to include collection development, orientation programs, and promotional enhancements. This survey made use of 5 Likert scales to determine the satisfaction level of the library patrons. All faculty and students were encouraged to participate in the survey through an online link. Data was collected a week after and generated a total of 587 responses. The survey intends to know the satisfaction level of its patrons with the different type of collections, the organization of materials, facilities, personnel, and services. Further, the survey explored the information need of its patrons for the academic year 2016-2017. Results showed that the library patrons, from faculty, staff, and midshipmen are extremely satisfied with the library and its services. The library collection has a weighted average of 4.40 which verbally indicates that the users are very satisfied. The organization of materials and the library personnel have a weighted average of 4.58 and 4.63 respectively which indicates that the users are extremely satisfied. Finally, the users expressed that they are extremely satisfied with the physical facilities of the library as evident by a weighted average of 4.52. Overall, it is gratifying to learn from this survey that most of the services and collections are satisfying to the patrons.

User studies enable to evaluate the performance of libraries and to identify pitfalls. The present study is an evaluation of the general public libraries in the Murshidabad District, West Bengal and the extent of usage of the services and resources by the members. Survey using questionnaire, supplemented with direct observation and discussion with library staff, is the methodology used for data collection. User evaluation is based on the response of a random sample of 200 members. The paper first presents a profile of the 20 general public libraries in the Murshidabad district. Year of establishment, collection, manpower, budget and services are included here. This is followed by a discussion of the users' response towards these libraries based on factors such as frequency of library visit, time spent, services utilised, comments on the services and suggestions for improvement.

This study attempted to survey library client fulfillment with current data administrations and assets while recognizing client needs. A poll-based overview was utilized for information assortment. The surveys were circulated among 200 users who visited the library of DYPCET.
User satisfaction with academic libraries services: Academic staff and students perspectives

Academic libraries are presently faced with challenges as a result of the introduction of information technology which has led to an increase in competition among information providers. Libraries must improve the quality of their services to enable them face the challenges of information explosion in the 21st century. Service oriented organizations have identified the customer or user as the most critical voice in assessing service quality. For assessment of service quality to be effectively carried out in academic libraries, it is imperative to investigate what service quality is to users. This paper examines the relationship between service quality and users' satisfaction at Redeemer's University and examines how user surveys have been employed in a number of previously published literatures. A questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument for the study. The study revealed that of the academic staff and students who formed the population for the study, students were found to have used the library most; the College of Management Sciences had the highest frequency of use and it also showed that users were satisfied with the services of the library.
