Job satisfaction is a positive or pleasant emotional state resulting from a person's appreciation of his/her own job or experience. The purpose of this research was identified the primary school teachers’ job satisfaction levels. The research has been designed with the survey model. In accordance with this approach, the primary school teachers’ job satisfaction levels have been measured. In the research, Teaching Satisfaction Survey (TSS) was used. According to results, teachers’ job satisfaction levels are pretty high. In terms of age difference there is a meaningful difference in averages. The of group 36-40 age have the highest averages. On the other hand, the group of 41 and above age has the lowest averages. There are no meaningful differences in terms of the professional seniority and the branch of teaching variables. Job Satisfaction and Performance of School Teachers
Teaching is a highly noble profession and teachers are always a boon to the society. The ultimate process of education could be simplified as a meaningful interaction between the teacher and the taught. The teacher thus plays a direct and crucial role in moulding a pupil towards education. Since a teacher is a role model for the students, job satisfaction and eventually performance of teachers become very vital in the fields of education. Thus the researcher felt the need to investigate the job satisfaction and performance of teachers in different categories of schools following different systems of education. From the total population, a sample of 196 teachers from state board schools, 198 teachers from matriculation board schools and 194 teachers from central board schools were drawn. The results of the study indicated that teachers in central board schools were significantly better in their job satisfaction and performance compared to their counterparts in matriculation and state board schools. This may be attributed to the fact that central board school teachers enjoy better infrastructure facilities and congenial working environment than the matriculation and state board teachers. It is for the school authorities, policy makers and society at large to ensure factors contributing to job satisfaction of teachers to the maximum possible extent and thereby enhancing their teaching perforrmance to its optimum.
A comparative study of job satisfaction in public and private school teachers at secondary level

The present study was conducted to investigate a comparative study of job satisfaction in public and private school teachers. 'Job satisfaction' refers to the attitudes and feelings people have about their work. Positive and favorable attitudes towards the job indicate job satisfaction. Negative and unfavorable attitudes towards the job indicate job dissatisfaction. Researches support that teacher's job satisfaction has been found one of the very important variable related to positive teaching behavior toward their job. There has also been considerable interest in the complex relationship between an individual's job satisfaction and satisfaction with other aspects of his or her life. It was hypothesized that a comparative study of job satisfaction in public and private school teachers. To test this hypothesis the researcher conducted this study to investigate the sense of teacher's job satisfaction. For this purpose the researcher developed a questionnaire of 25 items and 5 options. A sample of 150 public and private school teachers was conveniently selected for the study. Data analysis was conducted through 't-test' and 'ANOVA' Which shoed that there is no significance difference between teacher's job satisfaction in public and private schools.
Teachers’ Job Satisfaction and Work Performance

Job satisfaction is a requirement for the work performance of the teacher. This study determined the relationship of teachers' job satisfaction and their work performance in the Division of Misamis Occidental during the school year 2018-2019. One hundred and four (104) school heads and three hundred and thirteen (313) teachers responded to the study. The researcher used the descriptive-correlational research design; and the Teacher Job Satisfaction Survey Questionnaire (TJSQ) and Individual Performance Commitment Review Form (IPCRF) as instruments. Mean, standard deviation, and Multiple Regression Analysis were the statistical tools used. Findings revealed that the teachers were highly satisfied with their job, and their work performance was very satisfactory. The satisfaction of teachers on school heads' supervision and job security inversely affect the teachers' work performance. Schools have to be provided with the faculty lounge so teachers can talk freely on their well-being. Human Resource Department officers have to include in their teacher retention strategies the teachers' welfare packages. Future researchers have to look into other factors that might predict the teachers' work performance.
Teaching Performance and Job Satisfaction Among Teachers at Region XII

This study aimed to find out the relationship of teaching performance and job satisfaction among teachers of DepEd Region XII. Specifically, it was determined the teaching performance rating of teachers on the seven domains of competency-based performance appraisal system for teachers. It was also determined the satisfaction rating of teachers in ten facets of job satisfaction. The relationship of personal profile and job satisfaction was also correlated. A total of 200 teachers teaching in elementary public schools were selected as respondents of the study and descriptive correlation design was used in order to see relationships of the variables included in the study. Survey questionnaires were distributed to the respondents in twelve sample elementary schools in the Region XII. The study yielded that most of the respondents are female, married, earned a college degree with master's unit, 11 to 15 years in service and belongs to 31-40 years age bracket. Regarding teacher's performance rating it was rated very satisfactorily. Teachers display a high level of performance related skills, abilities, initiatives and productivity, exceeding requirements in many of the areas of teaching performance as indicated in the seven domains of competency-based appraisal system for teachers. Moreover, majority of the teachers are somewhat satisfied on the following facets of job satisfaction: school policies, supervision, interpersonal relations, opportunities for promotion and growth, working conditions, work itself, achievement, recognition, and responsibility. This implies that a teacher satisfied with their job is also productive. Furthermore, if the teachers are contented with their job, they develop and maintain high level of performance. Teaching learning processes are made more efficient and effective and consequently could produce high competitive learners. There is moderate correlation between teacher's performance and job satisfaction which shows that high teacher's performance contributes to high job satisfaction. The age, highest educational attainments and length of service were significant to the job satisfaction while sex and civil status were noted having significant difference to job satisfaction. Based on the findings of the study, it is concluded that the teachers of DedEd Region XII displays a high level of performance related skills, abilities, initiatives and productivity, exceeding requirements in many of the area of teaching performance. Moreover, the teachers of said region were contented with their job satisfaction facets such as school policies, supervision, pay, interpersonal relations, opportunities for promotion and growth, working conditions, work itself, achievement, recognition, and responsibility. This implies that a teacher's satisfied with their job is also a productive one. Furthermore, if the teachers contented with their job, they will develop and maintain high level of performance. Teaching learning process make more efficient and effective that could produce high competitive learners. In addition, teaching performance and job satisfaction have moderate correlation. Based on the findings and conclusions drawn from this study, the researcher makes the following recommendations; first, there should be a balance between the task and people oriented, close supervision and mentoring to the teachers to develop and maintain teaching performance and job satisfaction to bring about efficiency and affectivity in work. Second, the Department of Education should strengthen the pay for the teachers in order for the teachers to gain higher satisfaction on job. They should allocate more budgets on teacher's salaries. Third, the Department of Education should make policy, programs and projects for basic education schools to enhance the teaching performance and job satisfaction of teachers towards quality education. Fourth, to make teaching performance and job satisfaction be directed toward enhancement of academic administration, the school organization should be opened for sharing of ideas to promote academic excellence, teachers should provide opportunities for knowledge and network and teachers should have opportunities to listen to by the school administrators for support.

The present study was carried out to find out the difference between rural and urban and male and female elementary school teachers on various dimension of job satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the extent of job satisfaction of teachers in private and public basic schools in the Ketu South District. The study was guided by four research questions all of which sought to find out teachers’ level of job satisfaction and issues related to their job satisfaction. The literature reviewed acknowledged job satisfaction as one part of the motivational process. While motivation is primarily concerned with goal-directed behaviour, job satisfaction refers to the fulfilment acquired by experiencing various job activities and rewards. Descriptive survey design was the design employed for the study. There was a total population of 98 schools and 2180 teachers, out of which 150 teachers from 10 schools were used as the sample for the study. A questionnaire was used to gather information from respondents. The gathered data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) computer software and organized in frequency distribution tables according to the demands of the research questions. The study showed that most teachers were dissatisfied and would not encourage pupils to become teachers in future. This is due to the fact that they believe that there is no prestige in the job and the teaching profession is not lucrative. There was no vast difference between the level of job satisfaction in the private schools and in the public schools. The study therefore recommends that there should be enhanced salaries to help boost the morale of the teachers.
A Study of Job Satisfaction of Secondary School Teachers

Job satisfaction has always been a question mark and in debate by the researchers since long. It gained much importance due to its significance for the achievement of objectives of any organization. The purpose of this study was to explore job satisfaction of secondary school teachers working in the secondary schools at district Sahiwal, the Punjab, Pakistan. The sample of 200 secondary school teachers were taken randomly from district Sahiwal for this research study. The response rate was 100%. In order to collect required data for the study, the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) was used as a tool. The SPSS-15 (evaluation version) was used to analyze the obtained data. Mean score of twenty dimensions were calculated and t-test was also applied for the sake of comparison of job satisfaction of male-female and urban-rural teachers. The findings show that the secondary school teachers were slightly satisfied with the basic eight dimensions (out of twenty) of a job i.e. ability utilization, advancement, education policies, independence, compensation, creativity, recognition and working condition. There was a significant difference of job satisfaction between male and female secondary school teachers. However no significant difference was found between the job satisfaction of urban and rural teachers. Thus, it is important to overcome the problem in order to give maximum job satisfaction to teachers.

The motivation of educators is an essential component in fostering excellence in both teaching and learning. Motivated educators are more likely to encourage their students to study while in the classroom, to assure the implementation of educational innovations, and to have feelings of pleasure and satisfaction in their own lives. Further, this study investigates the factors affecting the teacher's job satisfaction in public secondary school, specifically: (1) the satisfaction and dissatisfaction levels of teachers; and (2) the significant difference in the teachers' levels of satisfaction when grouped according to sex, age, educational attainment, academic discipline. Based on the statistical analysis of data, there was no significant difference in the level of satisfaction when teachers were grouped according to sex, age, educational attainment, and academic discipline.
