The study aimed to determine factors influence the decision making the process of the students to choose master or doctorate programs at the at Department of Resources and Environmental Economics, FEM IPB. This research was conducted by using the quantitatively descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis methods. A survey to 54 the students of Magister and a survey to 51 the students of Doctor was administered to learn the reason of the students took the final decision to the further study at the at Department of Resources and Environmental Economics, FEM IPB. This research is motivated by how a person acts in making decisions to choose a place to study with various considerations, whether by looking at the brand image, location education costs or promotions carried out by a campus in attracting students. This study aims to find the extent of the influence of education costs, brand image, location and promotion of the decision of students choosing to study at the National STKIP. The type of research used in this study is correlation. The population in this study was 440 people with 209 Proposional Random Sampling sampling techniques. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence student decisions in choosing lectures at the Mataram University of Technology (UTM). This research was conducted during September to March, namely on first semester students of the odd semester class of 2021/2022 at the Mataram University of Technology. This study is a causal associative research which means that the dependent variable is influenced by the independent variable, data collection is carried out using an instrument/questionnaire for 36 new students using the sampling method using Non-Probability Sampling. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sikap, norma, kendali dan minat terhadap keputusan mahasiswa dalam memilih program studi pada Perguruan Tinggi, penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada STIMLASH JAYA Makassar dengan mengambil 69 Mahasiswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa secara parsial terbukti jika sikap, norma dan minat berpengaruh terhadap keputusan mahasiswa sedangkan kendali terbukti tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini juga membuktikan secara simultan sikap, norma, kendali dan minat berpengaruh terhadap keputusan mahasiswa dalam memilih program studi pada Perguruan Tinggi penelitian ini menghasilkan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 98,8% yang menunjukkan bahwa model penelitian ini dapat menjelaskan bahwa keputusan mahasiswa dipengaruhi sebesar 98,8% variabel penelitian ini dan sebesar 1,2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini .

This research was aimed at revealing the dominant factors influencing the students' decision to continue their study to the Social Science Education Program of Graduate Program of Padang State University. The factors analyzed involved future income, cost of study, work opportunities in the future, social status, parents' education, intrinsic motivation and the National Education Departement policies. This research was a kind of survey using exploratory approach and factors analysis. The population of the research was all students took the Social Science Education Program of Graduate Program of Padang State University registered in period 2011. The result of the research showed that the dominant factors influencing the students' decision to continue their study to the Social Science Education Program of Graduate Program of Padang State University were the future income, bonus and work opportunities in the future. In addition, the cost of transportation during their study was higher than the cost of buying books & photo copy which of course very important in continuing education to a higher level, especially at Post Graduate Program. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi keputusan mahasiswa melanjutkan pendidikan ke program studi PIPS Pascasarjana di Universitas Negeri Padang. Faktorfaktor yang diteliti tersebut meliputi faktor pendapatan di masa datang, biaya pendidikan, kesempatan kerja di masa datang, status sosial, tingkat pendidikan orang tua, motivasi intrinsik dan kebijakan Diknas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey dengan pendekatan eksploratoris serta menggunakan analisis faktor. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua mahasiswa program studi PIPS Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Padang yang masih terdaftar pada periode tahun 2011.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi keputusan mahasiwa melanjutkan pendidikan ke program studi PIPS Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Padang adalah faktor pendapatan di masa datang khususnya pada item penghasilan di masa datang dan juga bonus, serta item pekerjaan pada faktor kesempatan kerja di masa datang. Selain itu juga ditemukan rata-rata biaya transportasi selama perkuliahan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan rata-rata biaya untuk pembelian buku & fotokopi yang tentunya lebih dibutuhkan dalam melanjutkan pendidikan kejenjang yang lebih tinggi khususnnya pada program Pascasarjana.

Confirmatory factor analysis is a multivariate analysis method that can be used to confirm whether the measurement model is built in accordance with the hypothesized. In the confirmatory factor analysis the researcher must determine the number of indicators and the relationship between the indicator to construct on the basis of the theory. The purpose of this study was to determine indicators of what can and that gives the largest contribution in the selection of survey courses with confirmatory factor analysis method. Constructs in this study is the construct of cost, image, motivation, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The fourth construct each measured by four indicators.
