Prediction model of effective studies at the Academy of criminalistics and police studies
Nauka, bezbednost, policija, 2015
The paper deals with the connection between the input characteristics of students of the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies in Belgrade related to the acquired and inherited values and effective studying. Data collection was performed using the questionnaire technique on a sample of 120 students and the logic regression method. The questionnaire comprised 11 closed questions, 10 relating to predictor variables (gender, high school, success in high school, place in which it was finished, going in for sport, respondent's family and financial situation, whether a member of the family is employed by the Ministry of Interior and the course of studies), and one relating to the criterion variable (studying without repeating years). The results of logic regression showed that the overall model explains between 40.4% and 55.7% of variance in the status of effective studying, and it correctly classified 83.6% of cases. Only five predictor variables provided a unique statistically significant contribution to the model. The paper proved that if a student had a specific set of inherited and acquired characteristics, probability that he/she would study effectively is significantly 1 This paper is the result of the research on project: "Management of police organization in preventing and mitigating threats to security in the Republic of Serbia", which is financed and carried out by the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies, Belgrade-the cycle of scientific projects 2015-2019.

The aim of this study is to present the Faculty of Law Enforcement of the National University of Public Service and the admission process awaiting the members of generation Z-and within it, those who wish to apply for officer cadet status-as well as the drop-out rates and their causes following successful admission, and also the prerequisite base competences expected within the framework of public service and in law enforcement. The young applicants admitted to the Faculty of Law Enforcement are supposed to represent a significant proportion of the future reinforcement of the professional service personnel, thus the member of generation Z not only stand at the gates of higher education but at the gates of the law enforcement labour market, too. Through our study, we would like to highlight the correlations emerging between the competence-based expectations of the law enforcement organs from the young career starters and the university admission process as well as the individual wishes of the applicants, and the level of contrast or synergy of the physical and intellectual status of the students in this matter. From this perspective, the question may arise whether it is necessary to implement any changes in the set of conditions, expectations or attitudes regarding the higher educational training or in the starting phase of the law enforcement career path.

Machine learning is well known term, very much useful to develop models for solving real life problems. It uses data and come with facts using which decisions can be taken. This study, aim to find the relationship between higher secondary level subjects the students selected and the final grade obtained at the end of six semester course at university level. Analysis was carried out using classifiers with the Weka software. The Sample size 128 treated using WEKA tool for data analysis. PART, JRip, and Decision Table algorithms used to evaluate data. Outcomes shows 92.1875% accuracy with PART with 8 rules.

Aim: The article examines the motivation and difference between police attitudes. This is worth examining what policing models exist, what police staff and professional attitudes fit into them, and what career choice attitudes are associated with them. Methods: In the research survey was used. The individuals in the sample were all accepted into higher education and undertook the basic training of full-time police officer training.Findings: The Author enlisted eight law enforcement models, which were divided into four clusters. The examined framework can be characterized by different goals and attitudes and it was found that we cannot talk about pure attitudes. The plurality of attitudes may vary from one branch of service to another, which may lead to mixed attitudes among respondents. A significant part of the students who start their law enforcement training did not see a pattern in terms of police careers, and their motivations and attitudes. A preconceived police attitude can be...
ACADEMIC AND ADMISSION VARIABLES AS PREDICTORS OF RESULTS IN THE CRIMINOLOGIST LICENSURE EXAMINATION
In this paper, we report our attempts to predict the performance in the Criminologists Licensure Examinations (CLE) using select academic and admission variables. Using binary logistics regression, we found that examinees with high major subjects GPA and high English Qualifying Examination scores are more likely to pass the CLE. Additionally, separate composite indices of academic variables and admission variables have similar predictive ability on CLE performance. These results provide important contributions to policy-making in criminology education and to the literature on the predictors of the performance in the CLE.
Predicting the Assessment Course Performance of Criminology Students Using Data Mining
International Journal of Advanced Trends in Computer Science and Engineering , 2023
Living in this changing era where things constantly change overtime, transitioning means not a big thing. Obviously, nowadays even learning often takes place outside of traditional educational settings. This study aims to determine the performance of criminology students in the assessment course. The research covers the analysis of the performance of Criminology students of Legacy College of Compostela in the Assessment Course with six (6) subject areas. The data were taken from the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) students' evaluation, Multiple Linear Regression was employed to predict the students' performance in the assessment course. The data mining study results were acquired using IBM SPSS as the Modeler to transform the data and extract relevant information, which was then used for the conclusion. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the subjects of Crime Detection and Investigation and Law Enforcement Administration significantly influence the outcome of the students' assessments. Therefore, to concentrate on reviewing other areas with students, such as correlational administration, criminalistics, criminal law and procedure, and criminal sociology, might be useful in improving students' performance.

Journal of History Culture and Art Research, 2020
The article is devoted to the analysis of the diagnostics of the educational factor influence on the level of intelligence and general intellectual abilities in police officers. In the article, it was also aimed to describe theoretical and practical studies on the diagnosing of the intelligence level and general intellectual capacities in police officers, and to assess the influence of educational factors on the level of intelligence. The instruments used in the study during the professional-psychological selection included the Brief Qualifying Selection Test, the Intelligence Structure Test developed by Rudolf Amthauer et al., and Raven's Progressive Matrices. Based on the empirical data analysis, it was proved that the police officers' educational level had a significant impact on their integral index value, level and structure of intelligence, and general intellectual abilities.
