As we continue living in the 21 st century there are extreme changes which are taking place in our country which has been evolved and molded in such a manner there has been quick changes which are experienced in our learning system where education institutes were closed to aide covid-19 virus disease where the government has been encouraging online education to achieve academic and to set the theoretical continuity. Most high ended public and private institutions have replaced classroom-based education smoothly by using online platforms such as zoom, google meet, Microsoft team, google classroom etc. This study is based on the problems faced by students and educators as a result of online education. It studies whether online education is a boon or a bane. It highlights the good, bad, ugly faces of online education and its impact and consequences on the students. It also shows whether online education will exist in the long run-in future or whether the traditional method of learning in classroom will continue or not. This is a qualitative study focused on the students in the age group of 16 to 35 years and the data will be collected through primary and secondary sources.

This research aims to evaluate the challenges in facilitating online teaching for secondary education during the Covid-19 pandemic based on a case study in the western province of Sri Lanka. With the pandemic, teachers had to face many challenges concerning online teaching, as they were unprepared for the remote teaching process that was to follow. For this research, teachers were able to give an account of their experiences, challengers and the sacrifices that had to be made in adapting to this new method of teaching. A mixed method of data collection and analysis was used in this research, as both quantitative and qualitative methods in combination would provide a better understanding of research problem enhancing the validity of the results. Through the findings of this research, it was revealed that most schools and its teachers had embraced online teaching in the midst of the many challengers during Covid-19. Thereby it is vital that measures are taken to overcome and to mitigate the effects these challenges faced in online teaching, making it possible for teachers to deliver an online education for students that is on par with other technologically advanced education system.

Since middle of March, 2020, all the academic institutions from KG to PG level in India have been shut down to prevent spread of infection of corona virus. As a corollary, both teachers and students have been going through a paradigm shift in platform of teaching-learning, i.e., from offline to online, from the old, chalk and talk model to one driven by technology. The central and the state governments have come forward with a cluster of e-learning initiatives during this juncture. In spite of creating governmental and institutional supports, substantial researches confirm that students and teachers have been facing wide-ranging challenges associated with online teaching-learning. In the near future, digital education is likely to be incorporated side by side face-to-face education. Against this backdrop, this paper intends to peep into the degree of preparedness in West Bengal and in India nationally towards online teaching-learning in higher education sector. It primarily aims to explore the daunting challenges of online education in higher education sector (UG and PG level) particularly in the Indian state of West Bengal through the lens of students and teachers with an objective of proposing an evidence-based set of future roadmaps.

In response to rapid spread of COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus, all the economic and social activities were ceased at national level. Educational institutes were the first to be locked down and universities were asked to deliver online courses. This was received with resistance from students and academic experts with claims that universities neither have the capacity to deliver online courses due to lack of adequately trained faculty members nor does the country have supportive infrastructure in the form of availability of internet across the country. The study was intended to understand the constraints faced by these university students who were offered online courses in the first phase. The data was collected from graduate students enrolled in social science department along with teaching faculty members. Questionnaires followed by in-depth interviews were used to collect the data from a sample of 16 students along with 4 faculty members and representative of technical team of the university. A FGD was conducted with the university management. Results showed that poor connectivity of internet, communication gap that is inherent to online education due to absence of physical class room environment and over exposure to screen is considered as the major constraint to online education. But with the passage of time acceptability to online education is increasing and students also see the positive dimensions of online education now and the start of second phase of online education seems much smooth now.
Problems and Challanges in Online Education during COVID 19 Pandemic in India

This article studies the challenges and effectiveness of online education in India during COVID-19 pandemic. The responses of 200 students and 42 teachers have been analysed to understand their problems and challenges and to make the online education more effective. A substantial number of respondents found online teaching/learning tiring. Many complained about poor internet connectivity and lack of training and gave some useful suggestions to improve the quality of online classes. This work highlights the need of better technical and pedagogical training and psychological grooming of teachers and students in India.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic forced educational institutions across the world to shut down their campuses adhering to the lockdown protocols. As a result, higher educational institutions seek to deliver education through online platforms. This sudden shift created a huge impact on students learning capabilities.Methods: We conducted an online cross-sectional survey to assess the college student’s perspective about the online learning and also the most common problems faced in this online learning. A 17 item Google form questionnaire was structured by the authors. We received responses 1834 students from different higher educational institutions across India.Results: The results revealed that 71.7% of students rated the pandemic online learning below moderate on a 5-point scale. The undergraduate and postgraduate studies of colleges and universities in India have been affected badly amidst the lockdowns for COVID-19 pandemic. The Government has insisted to start the academic activity through online platforms. The biggest concern for the academic institutions now is to select an appropriate e-learning platform. This paper compares different features and facilities available in some widely used online platforms and analyze their suitability from the perspective of socio-economic constraints of students in India. A generic framework for conducting online classes is described that meets the special requirements of the unprivileged students. Some strategic plans to overcome the challenges are identified and suggested. A technical solution for implementation of time-bound assessment module is also proposed.

At the beginning of year 2020 and ending of December 2019 an outbreak of a novel Corona virus that is COVID-19 find out in Wuhan City (China). It was propagating fast in few months in all over countries. In this situation Government implemented various phase of lockdown in the country. Very bad impact happened to lockdown on educational institutions, schools and colleges and exams. They could not start their academic year at right time. Maharashtra Government declared their decision on all education departments to start an academic schedule in online mode. Due to this all student in rural areas in Nandurbar district (Maharashtra state, India) are facing unexpected challenges to online learn during the period of lockdown. Against this condition with the help of quantitative analysis in this paper expressed various types of challenges to online learn faced by students in rural areas.
