PENENTUAN KADAR FENOLIK TOTAL EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN NILAM (Pogostemon cablin Benth.) DENGAN METODE SPEKTROFOTOMETRI UV-VIS

One of the plants that is well known in the community and is used as a traditional medicine is patchouli (Pogostemon cablin Benth.). It contains essential oils, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, glycosides, terpenoids and steroids. The alcohol content, such as patchouli alcohol and its derivatives, phenol, and a group of terpenoids in patchouli oil has antibacterial activity. The aim at this research to determine the total phenolic condition the ethanol extract from the patchouli leaves. The extract obtained was analyzed ist content using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The measurements were done at the maximum wavelength of 662,85 nm. The result showed that the total phenolic in patchouli leave is 327,84 mgGAE /gram of extract.

The aim of this research is to determine the total phenolic content of ethanol extract of purple Roselle flowers. Sample as many one kilograms extracted by maceration method using ethanol 96%. Resulty 120 grams thick extract. Total phenolic content determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at wave leght 743 nm with gallic acid as standard reference with Folin-Ciocalteau reagent. The result show the rendamen of ethanolic extract 12% with total phenolic content 1.6726 %.

Essential ingredients comfounds in roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) petals is anthocyanin pigments which include flavonoid that acts as an antioxidant. The aim of this research is to determine content of total phenolic of red roselle flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) ethanol extract. Sample as many one kilograms extracted by maceration method using ethanol 96%. Resulty 127,03 grams extract. Total phenolic content determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometer at wavelenght 737 nm with gallic acid equivalent as standard reference with Folin-Ciocalteau reagent. The result show the rendamen of ethanolic extract is 12.703% with total phenolic content is 0.1853%.

Kulit buah mangga (Mangifera indica L.) selama ini belum banyak diketahui khasiat dan manfaatnya dikalangan masyarakat dimana kulitnya dibuang begitu saja. Penelitian terdahulu mengatakan kulit buah mangga (Mangifera indica L.) mengandung senyawa aktif penting seperti mangiferin, flavonoid, asam fenol, karotenoid, dietary fibre, dan beberapa enzim aktif. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kadar flavonoid yang terdapat pada kulit buah mangga arum manis (Mangifera indica L var. arum manis.). Proses ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut etanol 96 %, dilanjutkan dengan uji penetapan kadar flavonoid total menggunakan metode spektrofotometri Uv-Vis dengan baku pembanding kuersetin. KADAR FENOL TOTAL EKSTRAK DAUN DAN BIJI PEPAYA (Carica papaya L) MENGGUNAKAN METODE SPEKTROFOTOMETRI UV-VIS

Penentuan kadar total senyawa fenol pada ekstrak daun dan biji papaya (Carica papaya L) telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Sebagai senyawa pembanding digunakan asam galat yang direaksikan dengan reagen Follin-Ciocalteu dan natrium karbonat 7%. Nilai kadar total senyawa fenol dihitung sebagai GAE (Galiic Acid Equivalent) yaitu jumlah kesetaraan terhadap asam galat. Ekstrak daun papaya memberikan nilai kadar total senyawa fenol g GAE/100 g ekstrak sementara ekstrak biji pepaya memberikan nilai kadar total senyawa fenol g GAE/100 g ekstrak. Dengan demikian diketahui bahwa senyawa fenolik lebih banyak terdapat pada daun papaya dibandingkan pada bijinya.
