Tourism is not only done in urban areas but also has been in great demand in the countryside. This is due to the beauty of nature, cultural uniqueness, and other characteristics in rural areas that attract visitors. Besides aiming to reduce the fatigue of activities in the city, tourists also want to experience nature and the life of rural communities. This literature study research seeks to identify the main pillars of sustainable rural tourism development. Today's tourists realize that the most important thing is freeing from the stress and that it is impossible to achieve on the places where the everyday experiences are repeating. This shows completely other type tourists and tourism which will surely change the theory and the behavior in that sector in the future. Future guests will be more interested for natural beauties and for cultural monument of tourism destinations. Stimulated by a need for excursions, for the changes of the place of living and of a desire for new knowledge and different excitements, the guests will require more from the tourism. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the rural tourism as an important asset in the model of tourism economy for sustainable development. Through rural tourism we can vitalized all rural area that are "forgotten" by government, people, investors, tourists, ect. This paper presents a sociological view of possibilities for the development of sustainable rural tourism in Koprivnica-Krizevci county, which is located in the northwestern part of Croatia. The possibilities for developing rural tourism within the concept of sustainable development have been researched through qualitative empirical research interview method. Research subjects were the owners of tourist farms, decision makers, experts and other stakeholders in the tourism development. Rural tourism represents an alternative to maritime tourism and is relatively undeveloped but important in terms of development of rural areas and family farms. This paper enables an insight into an integrated sustainability of rural tourism which consists of four dimensions: biologicalecological, economic, socio-cultural and political sustainability. In conclusion, integral sustainability in rural tourism is not achieved in all dimensions. Therefore, rural tourism could be a strategy for sustainable development for rural areas and also could be a tool for product differentiation for area that are at stagnation stage.

Touristic Sustainability in Rural and Natural Spaces

This article aims to give the reader an overview of the development of nature tourism and its importance for the sustainability of rural and natural areas involving special protection. Once you have seen the end of mass tourism, tourism demand is much more heterogeneous and attends a difference of purposes for which such demand is diversified, representing a particularly important tourism and leisure activities that take place now in natural areas, thus giving rise to different types of leisure and tourism, such as Rural tourism, Ecotourism, Agrotourism, Nature and Adventures tourism, Sports tourism in natural areas, etc. What is important for the sustainability of these areas, that are subject to this type of tourism is getting some positive impacts maintaining sustainability and combating the negative impact, that such activities may have on certain protected areas or special conservation. From this point of view, we believe it is important to develop responsible tourism and committed to environmental conservation and for that the local population must be trained in order to achieve development of the territory without the activities that are the fruit of these typologies tourism and leisure pose a danger. Also, the tourist population must be more aware about what constitutes such practices of leisure and tourism for conservation of the environment and, at the same time, the development of the most depressed areas.

Rural tourism is one of the main priorities of tourism development in Hungary, for several reasons. The country has competitive resources in this field (nature, cultural heritage, traditional hospitality), and these resources are mainly located in the less developed areas of Hungary, where tourism can contribute to the overall economic development, thus improving the quality of life of local residents. Rural tourism has just recently started to develop in Hungary. The first experiences of small businesses and rural communities have been ambivalent. The benefits of tourism development have not always lived up to the expectations of the parties involved (including the communities, the individual businesses and also the tourists). In this paper, the development of Hungarian rural tourism is analysed through a set of sustainability indicators relevant to this kind of tourism. These indicators have been chosen according to their relevance to rural tourism development. The study aims to identify the critical points of rural tourism development in Hungary and to suggest further areas to be researched in more detailed way.

Rural tourism is a new trend of tourism industry and growing up to be a potential business in its individual space and it can bring economic and social benefits to the humanity. It is a form of environment based tourism that exposes the rural life, art, culture and heritage at rural locations, thereby favouring the local communities socially and economically. Rural tourism worked as an engine of various kinds of opportunities for the rural development. The Government should encourage private enterprises to promote tourism in rural areas. To develop a strategic marketing plan for rural tourism we have to identify the target customer their needs and wants and how to match it with our rural infrastructure. There have been several attitudes about communication between human and nature. Today, the environmental dimension of sustainable development theory especially focuses on Preservation of natural resources. In recent decades, protecting the environment, improving the utilization rate of natural resources and achieving the sustainable development of humans and nature have attracted enormous attention among people throughout the world. Tourism as an environmental-based activity should consider protection and conversation of natural resources in tourist areas. There are concepts such as "green" or "alternative" tourism philosophy which focuses on environmental sustainability of tourist destinations. Rural tourism as one of the options for implementing sustainable development contributes to achieving this goal. Environmental sustainability in rural areas requires the adoption of an integrated approach for tourism management in rural areas. In this approach, responsible tourists, green tourism activities, respect for the values of the local community and the development of green rural infrastructure are emphasized. Furthermore, rural communities have experienced several challenges, including migration, low commodity prices, and general economic decline. Therefore, its development is an appropriate solution for rural economy diversification (or regeneration) and exploitation of the natural resource.

Th e study focuses on presenting social transformation through quality of life led by sustainable rural tourism. Social transformation is a tenacious and erratic process pointing towards the society's changes from ascribed status to achieved status. Issues and Challenges in Nurturing Sustainable Rural Tourism Development

The majority of the world's population live in underdeveloped rural areas, which are a concern among many people. On one hand disadvantaged rural population inevitably seek regeneration of livelihood and socioeconomic empowerment, on the other hand large numbers of natural and manmade resources in rural areas are highly vulnerable to developmental interventions. Hence, ensuring sustainable development in rural areas in conjunction with increasing developmental needs is a predominant challenge. Alongside, tourism has been widely recommended as a development strategy for underdeveloped areas. Emerging alternative tourism approaches are suggested for development in rural areas. This paper aims to elucidate the issues and challenges faced by rural areas in developing alternative tourism with respect to sustainability. The study adopts a content analysis approach, reviewing documented data in either printed or electronic versions. The documents printed with alternative tourism dimension in rural areas, are purposefully selected for the study. The interpretations and findings are elicited from different settings of the rural areas, which are embodied with diverse natural and human elements. The study was able to reveal different issues and challenges, brought forward by previous researchers who deal with different geographical settings of the world. This illuminates the gap between implementation of alternative tourism and reaching the goals of sustainable tourism development in rural areas.
