Value crisis in present scenario and status of training in value education in TEIs and schools
This paper highlights the Value crisis in present scenario and status of training in value education in TEIs and schools. As a great man has said-"Commerce without morality, Science without humanity, politics without principles and education without values is not only useless but also very dangerous." These words lay a great stress on the importance of morals, ethics and values in one"s life. Today our schools are concentrating on delivering academic achievement to the students. Less concentration is given to their personal behaviour. The attitude of today's young generation made me think twice that the implementation of value and moral education is a must for the youth. Even the behaviour of the youth towards the elders in discourteous ways is really worrisome. From the child hood onwards parents & teachers should give proper guidance. All the schools should implement suitable programmes to make the students aware about the importance of value education from the prior stages of development. It may of course be simplistic to identify only two areas: values education and "the rest." It also refers to significant changes in the educational system itself, in the nature of its inputs (students, teachers, facilities, equipment, and supplies); its objectives, curriculum and educational technologies; and its socioeconomic, cultural and political environment. Values are not only taught overtly, but are also embedded in the patterns of social relations and interactions, the codes of conduct, modes of discourse amongst students themselves as they partake of school life, and in their interactions with teachers and administrators etc..

Education for values in school CBSE
The whole enterprise of education is extricably linked with the development of values. Devoid of the potential to nurture values, education losses its heart and soul. No one who attempts to depict the spirit of age in which we live can possibly overlook the importance of education for values. Peace and security are facing new challenges that could have negative implications if we do not address them positively. The malleable years of youth in schools are crucial. Whatever is learnt and imbibed will determine to how students would live out their lives in future. The concern about value degradation is not new to this era. Even before independence such concern were pronounced in policy documents. VALUE EDUCATION IN THE CHANGING PARADIGM OF SOCIETY
Values are the foundations of Society and an essential part of human life. Man and value are complementary and supplementary to each other like individual and Society, bread and butter, fish and water, flower and it's fragrance and deeply inter-linked. Values are the basic ideals which are manifested in the good conduct and noble relationship among different members of the Society. Formerly, an education was given for values and develops our cognitive domain and makes our living better. On the contrary, value education makes our life healthier and provides knowledge to attain liberation through developing our cognitive, affective and psycho-motor domain. Since life is education and education is life, acquiring values is a boon to life. Lack of value education ushers growing ecological imbalances, violence, frustration among the youth, persistence of negativity and suicide, sexual harassment etc. Value development is a continuous process. The National Resource Centre for Value education has been set up at NCERT since the year 2000 for integrating value education into the Curriculum. Alternative education is working for value education directly or indirectly, formally or informally. Although there are some value education centers are established for value development that are inadequate to teach values to the growing population especially for the children and youth studying in Schools and Colleges. isara solutions, 2019
C.S. Lewis a British novelist, poet, literary critic, and a theologian says, “Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a clever devil.” Mere education without value education will only make a person sophisticated fool. If we want better citizens for tomorrow then value education is the mantra. Basically, values are belief system or ideals in life that mean something to a certain person or group of people. Values shape the way people live their lives, how they interact with others and how they feel about themselves. Values are learned, usually passed down from generation to generation. However, one cannot do away with the fact that values decide who we become and what we achieve, how we relate to one another. It covers a whole range of human behaviors and way about. A family may decide to create new values depending upon what they find important in their own family. However there is greater need for Value Education. Therefore it is essential to emphasis its objectives, and critically look into its present scenario.
