SPSS software program version 24 was used to perform the bivariate analysis. The findings revealed that Artificial intelligence adoption has a significant relationship with on-time delivery of shipping companies. The study showed a significant correlation between the adoption of Artificial intelligence, transportation technology, and warehouse automation, as well as the on-time delivery of shipping companies. The study concluded and recommended that adopting logistics technology can significantly enhance the delivery performance of shipping companies in SouthWest Nigeria.
Effects of Information Technology on Logistics Firms' Performance in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia
International Journal of Academic Research in Accounting, Finance and Management Sciences
Logistics is the backbone of global economic growth. When the economy grows rapidly, more efficient logistics are required to accommodate the growth. Information technology (IT) has aided in the transformation of logistics firms' supply chain roles. As a result, IT is regarded as a critical factor influencing the process of modern logistics companies in terms of efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery. Although implementations have become more widely used in recent years, there is still little research focusing on the actual adoption effects on the logistics industry's company performance in Malaysia. The study's goals are to look at how IT implementation in tracking, safety and security, customer service, and information integration affects the performance of logistics firms in Shah Alam, Selangor. The hypotheses and prediction model in this study are tested using correlation and multiple regression analysis based on data collected from 44 logistics firms in Shah Alam, Selangor. The findings show that IT implemented in tracking, safety and security, customer service, and IT integration have a significant positive impact on firm performance. The largest contributor among the three variables is IT integration, followed by customer service, and the smallest contributor is tracking, security, and safety. This research will assist logistics players in achieving superior performance in terms of efficiency and effectiveness. As such, it is useful for strategic IT investment planning and decision making, as well as developing systematic approaches to IT implementation in the logistics industry.

In other to achieve the objective, 147 questionnaires were distributed, and 129 questionnaires were filled and retrieved for analysis. This represented a response rate of 87.8% of the sampled population. The researcher analysed the data obtained using SPSS version 26. Descriptive statistics methods were employed to present and summarize the findings of the result. The researcher further analyzed the data using inferential statistics and multiple regression.
Adoption and Effectiveness of Logistics Information System in Logistics Service Companies
2014
The logistics sector in India has today become an area of priority. India's logistics service industry is forecasted to become an over Rs 5.55 lakh crore ($120.42 billion) market by 2014, driven by growth in the manufacturing sector as revealed in the study by global consultancy Frost and Sullivan. It is necessary to streamline the logistics process to maintain the efficiency of the logistics network. In addition to integrating information technology and advanced logistical approaches into their business operations, firms are beginning to realize the need to focus on their logistics strategy in order to efficiently maintain their supply chain capabilities. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to identify and understand the organizational characteristics of Logistics Service Companies (LSC) in the study area where the Logistics Information System (LIS) is in use. Further in the present study an attempt was made to identify the factors underlying the effectiveness of Logistics In...

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has fundamentally changed the competitive dynamics of the logistics service industry, forcing incumbent logistics service providers to digitalize. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of digitalization in improving the performance of a logistic company, using PAYTON logistic Uganda as a case study. To support this, three research questions were developed: The study attempted to identify what impact digitalization plays in improving the performance of logistic companies like our case study. What are some of the most innovative technologies that have had the greatest impact on the performance of logistics firms? What are the primary barriers and success factors for logistical digitalization? The research population includes PAYTON logistics Uganda employees. With a target population of 85 and a sample size of 70 respondents, the study used both qualitative and quantitative research designs. The research technique employed both primary and secondary data, as well as interviews and questionnaires. The findings indicate that digitalization plays a critical role in improving the performance of logistics companies, with a correlation of 0.725 and an increased in both profits and Operation efficiency by 35% and 40% respectively. The study also revealed that, innovative technology like hyper automation , elastic logistics, Cloud computing , block chain , green logistic etc have greater impact on logistics performance. It was also further determined that leadership, supportive company culture and aligning business and IT strategies represent some of the success factors for digitalization in logistics, while a complex logistic network and process, lack of resources and proper choice or design, and resistance to chance are some of the biggest barriers of digitalization in logistics. Key Words: Digitalization; Logistics; Performance; Role

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impacts of four components of IT capabilities on logistics capability at the logistics sector. The IT capabilities consist of IT infrastructure, IT business experience, IT relationship resources and IT human resources. The study is supported with a field study conducted on the third part logistics firms, which are members of the international forwarding associations UND, operating in 9 cities in Turkey. After distribution of 450 questionnaires, 428 usable questionnaires were returned (a response rate of 95%). The data was analysed by using the frequency, Pearson correlation and regression analyses via SPSS programme. After analysing the research data, it was realized that there is a statistically significant relationship between four components of IT capabilities and logistics capability.

The application and development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have already had significant effects on many industries, especially in the field of freight distribution. This paper examines the impact of ICT on the performance of freight distribution in terms of supply chain, logistics and fleet management. A survey was conducted to 77 ICT users from 22 companies consisting of 6 manufacturers, 5 third part logistics, 4 freight forwarders, 5 warehouse operators, 8 wholesalers and retailers. A descriptive statistical analysis was used to analysis the data obtained. One of the major findings of the research is the impact level of ICT use by Freight industries in Lagos and Ogun State which falls into moderate impact on their performance as majority of them only use the low technology for information gathering. It was discovered that the major barrier to use of ICT is the acquisition cost. Government needs to promote a sharing of knowledge about the use and the role of ICT in logistics with logistics firms by facilitating a demonstration of technology solution and expand innovative public and private financing methods in generating finance and building skills for the development of ICT capacity
The growth and transformation of the manufacturing sector all around the world has spurred on the demand for logistics services. These industries need logistics as the mobility medium to run the business process especially for road logistics transportation. The road logistics transportation is a key role to move goods from suppliers to customers in order to complete the logistics cycle. This situation has sparked congestion, which has caused delivery delay and rising costs. These two major effects of congestion have affected the business performance, for either the logistics service providers (LSPs) or the consignees. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to empirically examine the relationships of logistics capability, IT implementation, and innovation capability with the LSPs' performance. Using the correlation and standard multiple regression analysis, the theoretical models and hypotheses in this study are tested based on empirical data gathered from 81 LSPs in the East Coast region registered with the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers directory of Malaysian industries. The results reveal that logistics capability, IT implementation, and innovation capability have significant positive relationships with the LSPs' performance. Among them, innovation capability contributes the most to the logistics performance in the East Coast region. This study has bridged the literature gap by providing empirical evidence and new insights on logistics performance using the Malaysian sample.
