Recycling Analysis in Northern city in the State of Rio de Janeiro: A Study of Reverse Logistics
This work analyzes the recycling process of the PET bottle in a company located in Campos dos Goytacazes, - a northern city in the state of Rio de Janeiro, from the concept of reverse logistics. It was sought, through qualitative research with the company to know the process of recycling the PET bottle and its understanding as a contribution to the environmental issue. Visits were made to the company for a period of one month, alternating times during work hours, observing since the arrival of the material collected in the streets until the end of the recycling process, together with the visits carried out was applied a questionnaire with the company's employees in order to measure their understanding of the recycling process. It was developed the process flowchart and the mapping, aiming to allow not only to know the sequence of the process developed, but also to analyze it in terms of strengths and weaknesses. After data collection, it was verified that, with regard to the production process, the employees performed their tasks empirically, knowing only the stage of the process by which they were responsible, and they and the company had no formal procedure to demonstrate the sequential steps involved in the recycling process.
Reverse Logistics and Waste in the Textile and Clothing Production Chain in Brazil

The global environmental concern turns to the production of waste and its correct disposal. The chance of the natural degradation of this content is minimal, and logistics become an urgent discussion for all production chains. The lack of knowledge of Brazilians about recycling and non-education for conscious consumption hinders the development of initiatives in the segment. On the other hand, instead of adopting the necessary measures to implement reverse logistics and recycle these materials, companies are importing waste from other countries, neglecting the potential for income generation and sustainable business that could invest. The objective of this article is to evaluate the scenario of recycling initiatives and reverse logistics carried out in the textile and clothing industry in Brazil, through bibliographical research and surveys in Google and Facebook, internet sites and open data analysis of national and international bodies on the subject. There is a shortage of studies, and the appropriateness of the subject is urgent and necessary. From the results, it can be verified that without official records, government agencies' efforts to implement reverse logistics and recycling and encourage the benefits of the activity, there is no way to solve the issue.

Reverse Logistics for a better Sustainable Business and Environment
Recycling of waste plastics is a solution to the threat it possesses to the environment caused with respect to the disposal of such plastic waste, while many such ways have been in common practice in the industry in the recent past. The study is undertaken to investigate current SWM process in India, along with understanding how these practices do not result in any environmental benefit. While doing so we also work on finding alternate solution to the current SWM system and using the Reverse Logistics process in order to undertaken the SWM process in a proper manner which provides an overall benefit to the environment and the organisation(in business terms) by the process; compared to the production of the virgin plastic and composites, the process of reverse logistics and the waste disposal methods, is shown to be a superior alternative in the environmental and business aspect as the final result of the process provides with better cost saving techniques in both the process of disposing off and making of virgin plastics, we herewith also provide some conclusive suggestion for substituting the production of virgin plastic for the manufacturing process of these daily use items by incorporating the plastic brought back into the system in order to provide a better sustainable environmental solution. The study also takes into consideration the collection process and the overall Reverse Logistics and supply chain process find a solution to impact on the business. The recommendations provided with a purpose of achieving higher business and environmental benefits.
Sustainable Development and Reverse Logistics

Due to the production and consumption patterns currently used by society, a large amount of solid waste is generated, as well as its wrong destination in the environment, which has negative effects, including harm to human health. In this scenario, we can mention the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, an action plan that aims to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure that people achieve peace and prosperity. To this end, companies can contribute by using Reverse Logistics, which aims to efficiently and effectively plan and manage the return of products to their manufacturer (Leite 2017, p. 206). The work aims to understand how Reverse Logistics can be used as a tool for the contribution of Sustainable Development, based on goal number 12 (Ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns), in Brazilian reality. The methodology, in addition to the literature review, is based on a qualitative and exploratory approach. From the research, it is concluded that Reverse Logistics works as a tool that can contribute to the achievement of goal number 12 of Sustainable Development, as both seek to achieve more sustainable behaviors in society.

Due to increasingly strict environmental legislation, the manufacturer's responsibility for products is expanding. This work reuses products and materials that had their production cycle ended, making the process inverse to that of traditional logistics, which is based on the flow from the origin of the product to its point of consumption. The general objective is to Aggregate the waste, in order to do a job of reusing this waste and in a manner, but it specifies understanding the concept of environmental, social and economic sustainability, understanding the configuration of the plastic materials production chain and its production performance. The same is justified by the growing importance of the complexity of production systems-caused by globalization and the Third Industrial Revolution. Thus, the relevance of this project in carrying out improvement studies through production processes on the ideal conditions for the decomposition of waste is justified, where it seeks a great interest in "Reverse Logistics". The methodology follows the line of bibliographical research and scientific and environmental solutions. The application of scientific knowledge in the characterization of a real problem, as well as the development of notes capable of contributing to its equation and through bibliographical research. therefore, it is concluded that reverse logistics is an indispensable tool in the search for competitive advantage and operational control of companies, in addition to meeting legal requirements and sustainable development.

The study aims to propose the implementation of postconsumer reverse logistics practices in the treatment of solid waste from microenterprises in the textile and clothing sector in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe. For that, it was necessary to know the productive process of the companies; identify the solid residues that are generated in the production process; raise the actions that are currently adopted by companies regarding the treatment of their solid waste; and, finally, propose new actions for the treatment of solid waste generated in the production process. This is an applied, qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, in the format of a multicase study, which used a semi-structured interview script and non-participant observation as a data collection instrument. After knowing the reality of the two companies, it was concluded that there is a long way to go in the search for the implementation of Post-Consumer Reverse Logistics practices. It was noticed that their efforts, aiming at the correct disposal of solid waste generated in the production process, are insufficient, since they adopt few treatment actions, giving rise to the incorrect disposal of a high volume of materials. Thus, actions were proposed for the treatment of this solid waste, involving resale, recycling, reuse and a more appropriate final destination.

The Reverse Logistics has been object of great interest by the whole community. In Portugal, Reverse Logistics is an unfamiliar word in the business world. Due to this fact, that will be interesting to analyze and characterize the Portuguese companies’ perspective based on three aspects: The Concept, the Returns and the Environment. For this, semi structured interviews were applied to ten Portuguese companies of different dimensions and industrial sectors. The results showed all the large companies are aware of Reverse Logistics, the product returns strategies are reuse, sale to the scrap or recycling industries and the environment strategies mostly used by small and medium-size enterprise’s (besides waste recycling) are their reuse in the packaging of loads, and by large companies is directed towards recycling, planning routes and the use of recycled materials and reusable packaging. Production
The increase in the consumption of electronic products generates e-waste at its end-of-life, resulting in environmental impact. The management of e-waste, considering the appropriate final disposal, is of interest of the government, shareholders and consumers. Thus, it is important that companies manage e-waste through reverse logistics to comply with the government legislation and minimization of the environmental pollution for the society. Reverse Logistics, according to Rogers & Tibben-Lembke (1998), is understood as the process of planning, implementing and controlling, including raw materials and discarded products, in which the final destination is the pursuit of return to business cycle. Reverse logistics plans, operates and controls the logistics flow of post-sale and post-consumer products to the business cycle, promoting economic, ecological and legal values (Leite, 2009). The National Solid Waste Policy (NSWP) indicates that the reverse logistics for Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) stimulates the return of products at the end-of-life by consumers, distributors, manufacturers and importers for the appropriate disposal for recycling and reuse (Brasil, 2010).
