Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, istilah pembangunan terutama di negara-negara berkembang sering disampaikan oleh aparat pemerintah, baik di tingkat pusat maupun didaerah. Pembangunnan seringkali disamakan dengan pembuatan gedung, jembatan, rumah atau pembangunan fisik, mental, kecerdasan, moral, tatanan nilai dan norma dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan kehidupan.
Sesuai dengan tujuan mata kuliah ini yaitu, untuk membahas konsep-konsep pembangunan yang bertumpu pada masyarakat sebagai jembatan antara pembangunan mikro dan makro, maka pada kesempatan ini bahasan pokok yang akan disampaikan adalah tentang pemberdayaan masyarakat.

In the era of regional autonomy today, the development of rural areas occupies an urgent scale. Urgency is caused by the structure of the rural economy in general being in a disadvantage compared to the structure of the urban economy. This disproportionate situation has implications for socioeconomic problems, such as inequality in the level of welfare of urban and rural communities, population density and urbanization in urban areas, which increases sharply from year to year. Therefore, how to grow and develop the economy in rural areas through the economic empowerment of its people to achieve harmony or equality with urban areas is a chore that needs to be answered immediately, especially by governments at the rural level.

Analisis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Miskin melalui Dana Zakat, Infaq, Dan Shodaqoh (Studi Kasus: Program Masyarakat Mandiri Dompet Dhuafa terhadap Komunitas Pengrajin Tahu di Kampung Iwul, Desa Bojong Sempu, Kecamatan Parung, Kabupaten Bogor). Dibimbing oleh Jaenal Effendi, MA Kemiskinan di Indonesia cenderung terjadi di daerah perdesaan. Berdasarkan data jumlah penduduk miskin, dari 39,30 juta jiwa penduduk miskin di Indonesia pada Maret 2006, lebih dari 24,81 juta jiwa atau sekitar 63,13 persen dari total keseluruhan masyarakat miskin tinggal di daerah perdesaan. Dengan mayoritas penduduk Indonesia beragama Islam, yang mewajibkan umatnya untuk membayar zakat, pemberdayaan umat pada hakekatnya dapat dilakukan dengan sumber dana yang berasal dari zakat. Nilai zakat di Indonesia yang terkumpul sampai pertengahan tahun 2007 yang mencapai Rp 553,77 miliar dapat dialokasikan untuk melakukan pemberdayaan masyarakat miskin.

One of the social capital that the Indonesian nation has to conduct community empowerment since the pre-independence era until today is ‘Aisyiyah. Since its establishment in 1917, ‘Aisyiyah has owned many models of social empowerment through its movements spread throughout Indonesia and abroad. ‘Aisyiyah has also conducted the community empowerment through a media, Suara ‘Aisyiyah. The issue in this research is how to improve society ability through process human and physical capital. The relation between capital and ability improvement will be examined in this research by placing process empowerment as mediating variable to explain the activities involved. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The primary data was collected using survey method technique through questionnaire. Furthermore statistical analysis was used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) of Smart Partial Least Square. This research has found two ways as path patterns directed to the increasing of society ability, which are (1) pattern consist of “two creating stage” to society ability, and (2) These pattern show that to improve society ability need “three stage” of process activity.
