In the current era of complex and dynamic environment in organizations, scholars are more attentive to study the antecedents of entrepreneurial orientation. Moreover, the role of emotional intelligence started to make inroad into entrepreneurship research. The study of emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial orientation devised a line of research that deals with the concept that emotional intelligence can be used to predict the entrepreneurial orientation. This study primarily aims to expand understanding the influence of emotional intelligence on entrepreneurial orientation. The mix of four tools comprising emotional intelligence (self emotional appraisal; others’ emotional appraisal; use of emotions and regulation of emotions) has been expected to influence the entrepreneurial orientation. To test the proposed model data was collected from 300 graduating students of business studies departments from HEC recognized public sector universities of Lahore, and the data analyzed thro...
Entrepreneurial Orientation and Emotional Intelligence
The present study examined the relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial orientation on a sample of 301 students (future techno-managers) randomly selected from different departments of engineering and management of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. All the respondents were administered on the scales of emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial orientation. The findings of the study showed positively significant correlation among the variables of emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial orientation. Regression analysis revealed significant contribution of emotional intelligence in predicting entrepreneurial orientation. The future implications of the study have been discussed in the light of empirical findings and in the context of effective entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial management.

Current study is an endeavor to empirically test predictive role of emotional intelligence towards shaping entrepreneurial intention of public sector universities graduates of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Total 352 business administration students of final year enrolled in diverse public sector higher educational institutions were surveyed for this purpose. Reason behind choosing this particular target population was because they are just having to complete their academic journey and will have to seriously think about the career option they will have to choose in their professional life. For data collection, questionnaire was used as instrument having Likert type question. As target population of current study is homogeneous hence simple random sampling technique was employed to choose respondents among targeted population. In this regard, measures were adopted from previous literature. Scale reliability, validity, correlation and linear regression were employed as data analyses sa...

The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Entrepreneurial Perceive

Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial culture are receiving an increased amount of attention in both academic research and practice. Entrepreneurship is linked with value creation and, as such, is thought to have a significant impact on economic growth, continuous business renewal, and employment (Tang and Koreas, 2004). Thus, it is apparent why there is also an increased interest in educational programmers designed to encourage entrepreneurship and to provide a better infrastructure for Business start-ups (Vesper and Gartner, 1997). However, despite the high level of activity, there is concern about the effectiveness of such policies (Gibb, 2002). It is quite possible that a better understanding of the factors that influence attitudes towards entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intent could facilitate the successful development of these initiatives, especially for university students who, in comparison to individuals without university education, are more likely to pursue selfemplo...

The main purpose of this descriptive- correlative study was an analysis of the effect of emotional intelligence on entrepreneurial spirit among agricultural students in Tarbiat Modares University. The population of this research consisted of graduate students in agricultural faculty of Tarbiat Modares University (N=764). Sample size was determined by Krejcie and Morgan table (n=280). Sampling method was stratified random sampling. (n=256). Research instrument was questionnaire. Face and content validity verified by faculty members of agricultural extension and education in Tarbiat Modarres University. For determining reliability of instrument, pilot test is done then mean of Chronbach’s alpha calculated for emotional intelligence 0.72 and entrepreneurial spirit 0.85. Discriminant validity and the composite reliability of the research instrument were tested by estimating the measurement model and they were satisfied after making necessary corrections. For analysis of data, variance and covariance technique is used by structural equation modeling. The results of structural equation modeling showed that the emotional intelligence had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial spirit of students. Thus, this explained about 55 percent of the variations of entrepreneurial spirit among students. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that reinforcing the emotional intelligence directly results in improvement of entrepreneurship students of Tarbiat Modares University.

The title of this research is “The Role of Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual Intelligence towards Entrepreneurial Intention among TVET Student Indonesia and Malaysia”. The purpose of this study is to build a model of entrepreneurial intention influenced by exogenous and endogenous factors. Exogenous factors consist of intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence. Whereas endogenous variables include attitudes towards being entrepreneurs, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. This research was conducted on students who are currently studying vocational education in Indonesia and Malaysia. The results of this study are all exogenous and endogenous variables significantly influence entrepreneurial intention directly and indirectly, except the emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence directly and emotional intelligence variables through attitude toward entrepreneurship.
Emotional intelligence is defined to guide behavior, thoughts, effective communicating with family and within organizations. The present study aims to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurship of trainees in vocational and technical organization of Zanjan in 2014. Method of this study is practical and survey method has been conducted for data collection. The population of the survey consists of 500 trainees and the study selects a sample of 300 people. The study uses two questionnaires, one for emotional intelligence based on Bar-On questionnaire and the other for entrepreneurship, which was made by authors. Reliability for Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire was calculated 0.85 by Cronbach's alpha and for entrepreneurship was 0.81. Data analysis was performed by using SPSS software and the results showed that there was a meaningful and positive relationship between entrepreneurship and all five dimensions of emotional intelligence, including intrapersonal, interpersonal, mood, impulse control and compatibility.

Journal of Public Administration and Policy Research, 2013
This research intends to evaluate the relationship between trait emotional intelligence and entrepreneurship intentions-with proactivity, creativity and attitudes toward entrepreneurship functioning as mediator variables. The population of the study included 5927-3784 M.A. students from Guilan University and 2143 from IAU of Rasht. The sample size was defined using Cochran limited sample. 376 questionnaires were distributed, with only 326 completed and returned. This data functioned as the basis for data analysis according to the structure of the model. The results revealed that trait emotional intelligence had a positive relationship with proactivity and creativity. Also, proactivity and attitudes to entrepreneurship had positive relationship with entrepreneurship intentions; meanwhile, variables of creativity, proactivity and trait emotional intelligence as well as the attitudes toward entrepreneurship determined about 55% of entrepreneurship intentions variable.
