While the importance of translation in the postmodern globalized world cannot be overemphasized , the act of translation calls for a unique talent. Translation is best described as a phenomenological act in which a translator seeks to enter the mind of the original author and translates on the basis of equivalence, with as little change to the original as possible. It calls for a certain historical sense and knowledge of linguistic transformation happening over a period of time. The translator has also to be aware of the cultural nuances which are untranslatable. Great translations have always been enjoyed as in the case of The Canterbury Tales. With the passage of time, there are calls to translate texts across the linguistic, cultural, medium and genre-specific barriers. My research shows that of all the considerations, a translation is, broadly speaking, a three-pronged strategy, being linguistic, cultural and political act at the same time. My paper takes up case studies of translations into English of an Urdu and a Haryanvi language text and analyses them from the aforesaid angles, bringing out the benefits and underlining the pitfalls on the way.

There is a strong need to introduce mainstream thinkers' works, increase publication investment, cultivate professional editors, enrich publication types, and expand cultural exchange styles. The study explores Chinese books translation work published in Pakistan National Language in Urdu. This article focuses on the translator's role as a cultural mediator who must faithfully communicate the intricacies of the literary material. The debate's heart is translating culturally unique things like proverbs, figurative language, references to religion, mythology, literature, and stylistics. Literary publishing on the web represents a new era of creative expression and enhanced democratization of literary culture, and its impact on writers, readers, publishers, and libraries has been significant. The study revealed that In sufficiencies such as lack of introduction, the low conversion rate of published works, and unstable publishing structure. We believe that it is necessary to encourage to publish cultural exchanges and strengthen the relationship between both countries.
An Analysis of ‘Translation for Urdu Media’
The translation from English into Urdu in the Urdu Media has been corresponding in the flow and dissemination of the information. The English language which is enjoying a global language status has taken a higher place in the world of translation particularly in media setting. It is ‘translation’ which guarantees its (information) reception by everyone. In India ‘Urdu Media’ (newspapers, television channels and radio stations) receive key share of national and international news from News Agencies in English language. Thus news is being translated into Urdu according to the requirements of Urdu media. Therefore this paper enlightens the position of translation process with reference to Urdu Media.
No two individuals use a language in translation exactly the same way. The vocabulary and phrases people use are linked to where they live, their age, education level, social status and sometimes to their membership in a particular group or community. Purpose: The aim of this research is to look at the idea of mistranslation in English translations of Premchand’s Urdu short stories. The source text is Urdu short stories penned by Premchand and the target text is its English translation. Translating the culture of source language is considered to be one of the most challenging tasks faced by translators. The translators confront several challenges to translate the source culture.
