Professional identity is a description of how individuals refer to themselves as a professional, and consists of a set of expectations developed by individuals about themselves and their abilities, based on their experience and personal background. Personal abilities and background are related to the potential or strength possessed and development in the scientific field that is involved. Doing work in accordance with the field that comes from self-potential, of course will have a different impact on individuals who do work not in accordance with the potential they have. However, based on a 2014 survey, as many as 87 percent of Indonesian students felt they were in the wrong direction. This research is a preliminary study (preliminary study) that will use questionnaire as an instrument in the professional suitability analysis process with an educational background. Then the researchers divided the respondents into classifications which were divided into 3 levels, namely high school students, undergraduate students, and graduate students. This study was only addressed to respondents in the classification level of graduate students. The results of the analysis show that the respondents included in the classification graduate students have a high level of understanding of their personality potential, thus giving an impact on the level of professional suitability with their educational background. In other words, the respondents did not feel 'wrong in their majors' in their scientific fields. But what about the results of understanding personality concepts in high school students and undergraduate students.
Professional Perceptions of Students of the Polytechnic University

The paper is devoted to the results of research into professional perceptions of students of the Polytechnic university in the context of their professional formation and self-determination. The firstand second-year students of the bachelor's degree program (60 people) took part in it. In the course of the research, the indicators of the level of formation of professional perceptions were studied. The most important factors that the respondents had in choosing a profession, the success of a future professional as well as their professional intentions were analyzed. At the initial stage of professional education, students' perceptions of their chosen profession are not filled with the subject content, are fragmented and limited. There are differences in the level and structural indicators of professional perceptions between men and women. Men's professional perceptions reflect a practically focused approach and an expressed desire to discover their own personality in their future professional activity. Women's professional perceptions have a pronounced emotional coloring and are oriented to the communicative side of their professional activity and their contribution to the public interest. The results of the research confirm the need for a targeted job to develop professional self-consciousness of the would-be specialist. In the curriculum, subjects can be distinguished, in the process of mastering which there is a targeted work on restructuring the perceptions of the chosen field of the professional activity. Such subjects may become a platform for monitoring, making it possible to track transformation of the system of professional perceptions and development of professional selfdetermination of would-be specialists.
Survelogical Research: Students Psychology towards Professional Education
Psychology is the study of mentality and behaviour. Present study is an attempt to understand the role of mental functions in individual. It tries to establish parameters which form the basis for the future research. Study of students' psychology in the field of education is much more important in terms of career adoption behaviour of students. Present research was based on the survey in the college going students. The candidates were interviewed regarding their selection of the present non-professional course. The results of the study suggested that the conditions and background of the students effect the decision of their career adoption in present study area.
Psychological Aspects of Professional Development: Through the Eyes of Students and Professors

The article reveals the psychological aspects of the professional development of a future specialist and presents the results of an empirical study. The empirical study is focused on the analysis of the content of reflection by professors and students of the psychological characteristics of the professional formation of a future specialist. The ascertaining study covered 589 Ukrainian students of course years from 1 to 6 (future psychologists, teachers, lawyers) and 487 Ukrainian professors. The following methods were used: survey, calculation of average values, ranking and comparative analysis. The content of the survey was identical for both samples of respondents and assumed the subsequent comparison and analysis of the answers of students and professors. In the conditions of mastering professional activity in the system of higher education, the foundations of a self-actualizing personality of a future specialist are laid. The survey involved students aged 18-20 years, studying in the direction of "teacher education" of various profiles. The scale of the need for security is basic, including the implementation of: biological, mental and social needs. The results of the study showed that young people in the development of professional activities, to fulfill the needs on a safety scale, need to satisfy the need for communication and knowledge. Girls are extremely sensitive to social influences and need approval and creativity. Both boys and girls need self-esteem. In boys, value orientations coincide with social values, and in girls they have a personal character. As subjects of the educational process, young men and women studying at, acquiring psychological and pedagogical knowledge, need support, approval, respect, quality knowledge necessary to meet individual needs and optimal functioning in professional activities.
CORRELATION BETWEEN THE PROFESSIONAL
The concept of the professional orientation means to care and help for the young person in deciding about the professional orientation in which he or she will develop considerably his/her working capabilities while a complete rationalization in the creating and expressing of the personality will be achieved. It is known that while the choice is made, which is important for the whole life there is a many factors that influence the person. Reaching the decision is especially difficult for the eight -graders, because they are in the period of developing in which the exterior factors have a major influence while they are making their decision about their future job (work).

Career management as a lifelong lasting process becomes very actual in today’s modern society because of many reasons. The environment becomes turbulent, in a general sense; therefore, it is natural that career environment, basically, is chaotic as well. Nevertheless, career for many people is, undoubtedly, very important, because it is directly related to life quality. Professional activity satisfies almost all human needs: physiological, safety, social, attainment, self-realisation, independence, autonomy and other. The efficiency of the mentioned activity and the ability of the personality to construct his career are closely related things. Individual’s career process studies are especially popular recently, because deeper career perception helps to understand the most important relations between man and work, career management and constant learning, helps not only to know man’s abilities, but also the abilities to give oneself to modern environment, to understand career projection possibilities, to plan one’s professional future. Seeking to analyse final-year university student position regarding career questions, a written form survey was carried out. The research was carried out between September 2015 and March 2016. The research sample (185) was structured applying a consecutive ‘bunch’ system. The respondents from three Lithuanian universities Klaipėda, Vilnius and Šiauliai, were selected in the sample. Professional career parameters were evaluated: career conception, the importance of work values and abilities, study influence, promoting and limiting factors and personal qualities. The research is grounded on a mixed strategy, when quantitative and qualitative research approach is combined. The obtained results, based on qualitative analysis, about professional personal career promoting and limiting factors and personal qualities are presented in this research.

The accelerated change generates new challenges, entails new requirements for the educational system in general and, in particular, for societys value system. Important in this system is the students personality and values they possess. The hierarchy of the values formed based on the interaction with the social and cultural environment, which they are part of, helps the person make decisions regarding the selection of the profession. Researchers express ideas about the relationship between focusing students' attention on themselves as future professionals during their studies and students' professional calling. However, empirical evidence on this relationship is still lacking. The research aimed to answer the question: "What is the impact of focusing students' attention on themselves as future professionals on their professional calling?" In order to answer this question the quasiexperiment with the non-equivalent comparison group without the pre-test design has been carried out. The quasi-experimental programme was implemented in the experimental group of 31 student of the social pedagogy study programme of Klaipėda University in 2009-2014. The control group consisted of 79 students from three other Lithuanian universities. The final measurement was carried out in the control and experimental groups on May-June, 2014. The results argue that focusing students' attention on themselves as future professionals during their studies has an impact on their professional calling.
