Qualified teachers will produced students who are brilliant and have a respectable personality. However, now the issue of problematic teachers often become a topic and viral on social media. Incompetent teachers and undergone discipline problems will relate to student discipline problems, so as a pre-service teacher they have to face the challenges to be a good teacher. Teachers should be prepared with the knowledge of teacher leadership because teacher also a leader to the students, other teachers and communities. This concept paper is a plan to study the effectiveness of teacher leadership to provides knowledge and understanding to pre-service teachers in UPSI before they step into a real job.
Examining the Views of Prospective Teachers on Teacher Leadership

The aim of this research is to reveal out the views regarding the meaning of teacher leadership, the qualities that teacher leaders should have, the roles of teacher leaders, the effects to be teacher leaders, the obstacles of being teacher leaders and suggestions for being teacher leaders. Study is conducted via qualitative research method. Maximum variation and criterion sampling was used and therefore 26 volunteer prospective teachers were participated in the study. Participants mentioned that teacher leaders are very important in the changing world for not only leading the school staff but also help schools improve. As teacher leaders are significant, school principals should indicate shared leadership behaviors, provide an environment for teachers to use their leadership potentials. Article visualizations:

Today, the traditional role of teachers is challenged, and teaching practice requires less time for face-to-face instruction, a unique position that does not impose responsibilities on one person (teacher or student) and creates a common teaching and learning space in which new knowledge is co-created and socially developed. Preservice Teachers' Perceptions of Teacher Leadership: Is It about Compliance or Understanding?

Little attention has been paid to the leadership experiences of pre-service teachers despite the robust field of teacher leadership research. This study reviews 124 activities in the Teacher Leader Essays, a part our program’s licensure requirements, to understand our pre-service teachers’ experiences and perceptions of leadership. This inquiry informs the literature on teacher leadership by providing a summary of pre-service teachers’ actions and reflections on teacher leadership while noting the constraints of such mandated activities.
Teacher Leadership Factors and Teacher Leadership Model Based on the Six Guiding Principles

The purpose of this study is to explore teachers' leadership factor and to develop a teacher leadership model based on the six guiding principles proposed. To address the objectives, this study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive design. A total of 196 respondents; whom are comprised of teachers pursuing their post graduate studies at UPSI, using purposive sampling technique. The exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis have been used to obtain construct validity. Data from the survey is used to test and confirm factors expressed in the proposed model. The findings of this study which are tested on future teacher leaders have revealed significant results of the six guiding principles namely; "Leading by facilitating improvements in instructions and students learning'', "Leading through modelling" ,"Leading through collaborative culture", "Leading through organisational development" ,"Leading through partnership with the community" and "Leading through exemplary contribution". The findings of this study provide important information for the undergraduates, lecturers, university administrators, and the community at large regarding to a new teacher leadership model in preparing quality teachers for the future. Besides that, it will broaden the literature on training and development of new teachers. Thus, this study also contribute a new paradigm in the area of teacher leadership.
A Study of Leadership Quality in Teaching Profession
The importance of leadership cannot be overstated in an environment where the goal is that every student will achieve at high levels. In effective educational environment, leadership capacity is developed and supported at every level. Teacher’s development is another aspect of leadership. The Leadership strategy is a powerful way to help administrators and teachers embed new skills and strategies in their daily work. In building a "good school" the single most important factor is effective leadership. In the present study researchers want to find out factors which improve and affect leadership quality in secondary school teachers, and improvement in secondary schools by good leadership.
THE CHARACTERISTICS OF TEACHER LEADERSHIP
The research in the field of teacher leadership in Lithuania as well as in other countries is especially desiderated, though the facts proclaiming that the teacher leadership influences the quality of education exist. Therefore, the research in the teacher leadership is considered to be practically relevant and academically new enough. The purpose of this article is to reveal the characteristics of the leadership typical to the teachers of Lithuanian secondary schools and to determine the connection between the teacher leadership and some other sociodemographic characteristics of teachers. For this purpose, the survey in written form of 394 teachers from different regions of the country has been carried out by using specially created instrument. By this research, it has been revealed that, generally, in Lithuanian secondary schools, the characteristics of the teacher leadership are quite strongly expressed. Equally, the survey has been revealed the connection between the characteristics of teacher leadership and other sociodemographic characteristics of theirs.

Management Theories on Leadership in Pre-University Education

The concept of leadership took different forms and connotations in contemporary society. Leadership is no longer just about giving orders, leadership has become a form of leadership. In pre-university education, there is a need for leadership on all levels. This article aims to provide convincing information about the concept of leadership in pre-university education.
The purpose of the study was to examine the perceived effects of leadership styles on the teachers' classroom performance and also to determine the leadership styles preferred by basic school teachers. It is of utmost importance to note that the roles of head teachers in the management of educational institutions especially at the basic levels cannot be over exaggerated. It is against this background that the study was conducted in order to examine how these perceived effects influence teaching and learning at the basic level. The study was conducted using descriptive survey design and the respondents were sampled through proportional stratified random sampling procedure. Two hundred and sixty-nine (269) respondents comprising 179 males and 90 females were used. The reliability coefficient of .85 which was considered to be strong was used. Among other things, the study revealed that basic public school teachers largely agreed that the leadership styles of their head teachers have effects on their classroom performance. It was also disclosed that teachers preferred democratic, transformational, inspirational and distributed leadership styles. In all, head teachers are advised to practice a mixture of leadership styles since no single leadership style is appropriate for all situations.
