In metro cities we can see a huge rush at shopping malls on holidays and weekends. This becomes even more when there are huge offers and discounts. Nowadays people purchase a variety of items and put them in the trolley. After total purchasing one should approach the counter for billing purposes. By using a barcode reader the cashier prepares the bill which is a time consuming process .This results in long queues at the billing counters. This project presents an idea to develop a system in shopping malls to overcome the above problem. To achieve this all products in the mall should be equipped with RFID tags and all trolleys should be equipped with a RFID reader and LCD screen .When one puts any product in the trolley its code will be detected automatically , the item name and cost will be displayed on the LCD, thereby the cost gets added to the total bill. Smart Shopping Trolley with Automated Billing
The various items are purchased in shopping mall or markets with help of shopping trolley. Product acquirement in shopping mall is some difficult process. In customer convenience they have to pull the trolley and add product to the shopping cart simultaneously. After purchasing, customer have to pay the bill for their purchased items. In that time, they have to wait in a long queue to get their products scanned using barcode with help of barcode Scanner and get their bill generated. To modify that customer has to purchase in smart way in shopping mall. Each and every product has a RFID tag that has to be scanned to get the product information using RFID reader. The smart trolley will consist of a RFID reader, LCD display and ZigBee transmitter. When customer wants to buy any product, he will scan RFID tag and the product information like name and price will be transferred to computer. The total cost of all the purchased products will be added to the final bill, that final bill will be saved in the Arduino and will be sent to main billing counter with the help of Zigbee module. These are all performed in the transmitter side. In receiver side, it is wireless transmitting process.

Our aim is to develop a system that can be used in shopping malls to solve the above mentioned challenge. The system will be placed in all the trolleys. It will consist of a RFID reader. All the products in the mall will be equipped with RFID tags. When a person puts any products in the trolley, its code will be detected and the price of those products will be stored in memory. As we put the products, the costs will get added to total bill. Thus the billing will be done in the trolley itself. Item name and its cost will be displayed on LCD. Also the products name and its cost can be announced using headset. At the billing Counter the total bill data will be transferred to PC by wireless RF modules.

As we know that there is a huge crowd in the malls in metro cities. Specially it becomes more crowded on holidays. People purchase different items in the malls and puts them in the trolley. At the cash counter billing process is done using bar code scanner. This is very time consuming process. To avoid this we are developing a system which we called as 'Futuristic Billing Trolley Using RFID module and ZIGBEE module'. In this system we are using RFID tags instead of barcodes. This RFID tags will be on the product. Whenever the customer puts a product into trolley it will get scanned by bvgfc RFID reader and product price and cost will be display on LCD display. Like this the process goes on. We are using ZIGBEE transmitter which will be at trolley which is used to transfer data to main computer. At the main computer ZIGBEE receiver will be placed which will receive data from transmitter. To store the products price and total billing memory used will be Atmel AT24C04. LCD used will be 16X2 alphanumeric display. It will be used to display products names, products cost etc.

Shopping at hypermarkets, which offer an enormous array of household goods and food, has become a part of everyday life. Customers typically place all intended purchases into a shopping cart or trolley, then queue at a billing counter for each item to be scanned and bagged. This process is often hectic and time-consuming. These problems are often exacerbated during peak times, such as the weekend or holiday periods. Typical wait times may reach 15 to 20 minutes or longer. However, the ubiquity of wireless communications has enabled the development of e-commerce smart products which could simplify this process. The objective of this project is to develop a smart scanner trolley system using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and an Arduino microcontroller. The user simply scans each item using an RFID reader. After finishing his shopping, the user can pay for his purchases using a loyalty card linked to a debit card. The Smart Trolley terminal will automatically send a receipt via text message using the Internet of Things (IoT). Registered customers are not required to provide personal information other than a scan of their loyalty cards. The aim of this system is to facilitate in-store shopping with a system which is scalable, inexpensive, and durable.

In our project the customers have to scan barcode of every product through the use of barcode scanner which they wish to purchase and drop into the shopping cart and then proceed for billing. This is implemented using an android application and barcode scanner.

Billing of products from mall is quite difficult because it takes more time as people have to wait for a long time in a queue for billing. Looking at the advancement in technology, we came up with an innovative idea of Shopping Cart for Automatic Billing in Supermarket. This work consists of RFID reader, motion detector sensor, liquid crystal display, push buttons, switches. For using smart trolley functions, user has to press start button. When a user put some product in trolley then its code will be detected using RFID reader and cost of a product added to the list.
