Telerehabilitation During the COVID-19 Pandemic

After the appearance of COVID-19, the clinical and professional activities of private clinics and public health systems were challenged. Tele rehabilitation system is required to provide rehabilitation services during the COVID 19 pandemic. Tele-rehabilitation services are available for many years, for which necessary infrastructure, laws, and instructions have been considered, but in Iran, there are no regulations or instructions for telerehabilitation services. Professional associations and boards can play an important role in drafting these rules. The COVID-19 can be a good opportunity to start telerehabilitation in Iran.

Enhancing stress management training and communication skills of nursing students during COVID-19 pandemic based on augmented reality

Aim: Managing stress and proper communication with clients is a key element in patient-care. Study stress is very common among nursing students during Covid-19 crisis and has weakened trainees' relationship with patients. The aim of this study was to develop stress management training and communication skills of nursing students during Covid-19 crisis based on augmented reality. Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 46 nursing students undergoing internship at Farabi Hospital in Bastak in 2020 were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group participants received augmented reality-based education, and in the control group, education was conducted in the traditional way. The effectiveness of the training was assessed with a researcher-made questionnaire and the data were analyzed using SPSS software and independent t-test. Results: Augmented reality training was more effective than traditional training and independent t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (P-Value=0.001). The mean scores of communication skills factors and stress management factors increased in the post-test compared to the pre-test. The mean scores of behavioral stress management, positive thinking, time management and relaxation techniques also increased in the post test. Conclusion: Training of stress management and communication skills to nursing students based on augmented reality can improve learning and increase the effectiveness of training in a stressful hospital environment, especially during COVID-19 conditions.

Evaluation of Internet booking system in Websites of Health Centers Affiliated with Medical Universities in Iran

Internet booking system effectively reduces patient's waiting time and increase patient satisfaction with health care centers, so the rate of using it is increased. The aim of this study was the evaluation of the internet booking websites of the Universities of Medical Sciences in Iran. Method: This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study which was conducted in 2014. Data was collected through a self-designed check list and study of health care center's websites (hospitals and clinics). Excel 2007 software was used to summarize and report data. Results: Findings showed that only 9% of the health care centers in the country using internet booking systems. Rayavaran Company more than other companies has worked in design and implementation of such systems. Also, the mean score of "user friendly" of available websites was 4.4. Among the studied centers, internet booking systems of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences had the best status. Conclusion: Most of the health care centers do not use the internet booking websites. The available websites have the capabilities such as search, getting information, giving tracking code and independent port, and the abilities including change or cancel the appointment and useful links are used less in websites. So, it is suggested that the authorities increase the use of internet booking websites in health care centers in the country.

Visualizing the Clusters and Dynamics of HPV Research Area

Article Subject: Virology 10.30699/ijmm.13.4.266 Background and Aims: Co-word analysis, based on Co-occurrence, as one of the important techniques of Scientometrics and bibliometrics, enables the analysis of the content of scientific documents of the specific Research Area. The purpose of the present study is visualize HPV clusters relationships and thematic trends in the world. Materials and Methods: The research type is an applied one with analytical approach and it has been done using co-word analysis. The population of this study consists of articles' keywords indexed during 2014-2018 in the Web of Science (WoS) in HPV subject area. The total numbers of the retrieved and analyzed keywords in this study were 13249. Some software like SPSS, UCINET and VOSViewer were used for data integration and analysis. Results: The findings showed that the keyword "CERVICAL CANCER" have had the highest frequency and with "CERVICAL INTRAEPITHELIAL NEOPLASIA" and they were co-word couples. The results of the strategic diagram showed that the most clusters in HPV placed in third area of strategic diagram, it means these subjects (clusters) were emerging or declining. Conclusion: Co-word analysis is suitable method for discover and visualize different sciences and their prominent patterns, hidden relationships and thematic trends research' subject areas. Information Needs of Managers and Expert Panels in the Office of Disaster Management and Emergency Medical Services in Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education

Background and purpose: The office of disaster management and emergency medical service is one of the most important subdivisions of the Ministry of health. Analyzing the tasks and functions of this office is critical to its evaluation. This study aimed at analyzing the information needs of this office to develop statistical indicators required. Materials and methods: This qualitative-quantitative study was carried out during 2015. The study population included the managers and expert panels in disaster management and emergency medical service in the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran. We interviewed 14 individuals in different departments within the office and reviewed the administrative tasks and the available documents. After analyzing the data, different information needs of all departments were identified and classified. Results: According to the administrative tasks and practices, 69 groups of information needs were identified of which 17.4% are not met. 45.3% of the information needs did not have any standard sources or forms to collect the data required. Conclusion: Lack of standard sources for the most identified information needs, decentralized information systems, and out-of-date information are the major problems of managers and expert panels. So, designing national standard forms to collect data, designing a comprehensive statistics and information system and reviewing current paper forms and databases seem to be essential.

Determinants of quarantine compliance in epidemics in synchrony with coronavirus disease 2019: A scoping review

Background and purpose: In the time of emerging infectious diseases, quarantine is one of the necessary preventive measures to maintain public health. This study aimed at reviewing the determinants of quarantine compliance in epidemics in synchrony with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Materials and methods: A systematic scoping review of studies (2000-2020) on quarantine determinants was done in both Persian and English. PubMed, Embase ProQuest, Science Direct, Google Scholar, MagIran, SID, Iran Doc, and Element were searched using the following keywords: quarantine, social distancing, home quarantine, infectious epidemic, compliance, acceptance, adherence, and noncompliance in both Persian and English. Results: A total of 13,755 articles were found of which 10 eligible studies were included in this review. The main factors inhibiting adherence to the COVID-19 quarantine were financial problems following job loss, lack of adequate education and awareness, low levels of education, psychological pressures, difficulty of the quarantine period, lack of trust, and low supervision. Factors influencing adherence to quarantine included awareness, creating voluntary conditions, clear communication, offering assurance about jobs, moral commitments, high levels of education, and living in urban areas. Economic incentives and effective informative and training campaigns could increase public compliance with quarantine. Conclusion: There is paucity of information about compliance with quarantine during COVID-19 pandemic, therefore, further studies on this issue are needed in Iran and other countries.

Websites content quality of Iranian universities of technology: Awebometrics study

The main aim of this study is to analyze Websites content quality in Iranian universities of technology. The method of this study is content analysis; one of the webometrics methods. Applied reaserch and content analysis method with analytical approach have been used in this paper. The research population is top ten Iranian technology universities selected according to their ISC latest version of university ranking. The required data for this paper was gathered based on keyword density and prominence, Meta tags, keyword & traffic organic, Text/HTML ratio, Unicode and duplicate content. All of these are indicators in content quality and used in this research for data extracting. Investigating the relationship between stress management and organizational commitment among nurses during Covid-19 pandemic, with the mediating role of communication skills training

Aim: Nursing is one of the challenging and stressful jobs that the managers of healthcare organizations should manage the created stress the commitment of the nurses during Covid 19 crisis. In this study, we investigated the relationship between stress management and nurses' organizational commitment with the mediating role of communication skills training. Methods: The statistical population of this descriptive-correlational study includes 108 managers and nurses of Farabi Hospital in Bastak city in Hormozgan province during 1399 who were selected by stratified random sampling method. The data collection tool is a researcher-made questionnaire. SPSS software was used to analyze the data in the inferential section and LISREL 8.8 software was used to fit the path coefficient. Results: The results showed that stress management has a positive and significant relationship with nurses' organizational commitment. This relationship was confirmed by path coefficient (0.19) and significance coefficient (2.92). Also, communication skills training as a mediating variable has created a positive and significant relationship between stress management and nurses' organizational commitment. In this way, the relationship between stress management and communication skills training with path coefficient (0.5) and significance coefficient (6.46) was confirmed. Furthermore, the relationship between communication skills training and nurses' organizational commitment with path coefficient (0.66) and significance coefficient (10.01) was confirmed. This relationship has the highest path and significance coefficient. Conclusion: Findings show that due to the Covid-19 crisis, stress management and communication skills training can help improve the productivity and performance of all staff, especially nurses, and affect their organizational commitment in the hospital.

Investigation of real-time locating systems technologies in the healthcare field: A review study

Introduction: The advanced technologies in hospitals promises the entry into a novel era. Real-time locating systems are one of such technologies which could enable the tracking of patients, physicians, nurses and valuable equipment. The purpose of this study is to presenting the technologies used in real-time locating systems in healthcare field.
