The study examined students’ perceptions on the impact of online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic. A descriptive survey design was used. The study was conducted on level 100 student-teachers in three colleges of education (Accra, E. P. Amedzofe, and Peki), affiliated to the University of Ghana with a total population of 802. The calculated sample size was 325 on 4.2% margin of error with 95% confident level. A self-designed survey questionnaire, containing the background information, and five scaled Likert-type questions grouped on the variables of: home factors; teaching-learning and supports; and impacts of the online learning on students. The instrument was pilot tested on 50 student-teachers and later administered to the participants. The Cronbach alpha reliability check on instruments was 0.75 indicating the consistent reliability of the instrument. In all, 335 participants responded to the questionnaire. COVID-19 pandemic era has changed human life in the world. In education side, the learning process is forced to be carried out through full online (E-learning) since this pandemic era. There are many studies conducted on students’ perceptions of using E-learning to learn the English language while this challenges era. So, the researchers also want to conduct a study about it. The objective of this study was to investigate the students’ perceptions on the use of E-learning while COVID-19 pandemic era. Data were collected using a questionnaire that collected background information of participants and a five-point Likert scale to gauge the students’ perception use of the E-learning in EFL classroom while pandemic COVID-19 era. The Coronavirus epidemic in Kosovo is having consequences in all spheres of life. This reflection is especially noticeable in teaching and learning, especially at the university level, moving from the classical (traditional) form of teaching fully or partially to e-learning. Students’ Opinions about the E-Learning during COVID-19 Pandemic

BACKGROUND: COVID-19 has affected research and students all over the world. Ongoing studies have been disrupted and upcoming studies cannot begin until they are adapted to the new reality. METHODS: This is a cross-sectional study. The study was realized during the period March-May 2020. This study was included n = 340 (nurse. physiotherapy, midwife) students. In this study, we conduct a short questionnaire about the perception of quality of e-learning. The study was conducted with students of University of Shkodra, Department of Nursing. The survey was performed through an online form and all participants were virtual and anonym and were free to write everything about the quality of learning, methodology of teaching, and the difficulty during this process. The spread of COVID-19 poses a threat to humanity, as this pandemic has forced many global activities to close, including educational activities. To reduce the spread of the virus, education institutions have been forced to switch to e-learning using available educational platforms, despite the challenges facing this sudden transformation. In order to further explore the potentials challenges facing learning activities, the focus of this study is on e-learning from students' and instructor's perspectives on using and implementing e-learning systems in a public university during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study targets the society that includes students and teaching staff in the Information Technology (IT) faculty at the University of Benghazi. The descriptive-analytical approach was applied and the results were analyzed by statistical methods. Two types of questionnaires were designed and distributed, i.e., the student questionnaire and the instructor questionnaire. Four dimensions have been highlighted to reach the expected results, i.e., the extent of using e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, advantages, disadvantages and obstacles of implementing E-learning in the IT faculty. By analyzing the results, we achieved encouraging results that throw light on some of the issues, challenges and advantages of using e-learning systems instead of traditional education in higher education in general and during emergency periods.

English language instruction that moves away from offline to online should become the EFL lecturers’ concern for their students’ successful learning outcome. The students must be kept in the lecturers’ mind when they plan and program the instruction. This study aims at investigating the students’ perceptions and preferences on English instruction through e-learning implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research applies a qualitative approach in a descriptive method design by involving 106 English class students from three different higher educations in Aceh, Indonesia. The thematic and comparative analyses are applied in analyzing the data. The findings of the study show that 50% of the students impress negative features concerning the internet network, a high need of internet quotas, the limitation of learning material explanation and absorption, and the social media influences. Background: One severely impacted sector during a COVID-19 pandemic is the field of Medical Education. Initially, when the Medical students were sent home based on Government Lockdown orders, it was very hard to imagine that it would change the way of teaching especially in this field. After successfully adjusting to this new scenario the question of the hour is how many students and the teachers did adjust? What were their perceptions? And overall what was the effectiveness of this exercise? This study puts in a sincere effort to find the same. Methods: The student's and the teacher's perceptions were taken using Likert's scale when the online sessions were going on. Another student's perception was taken about a live lecture class in a classroom. The perception scores of the students were compared. An online test was taken after online sessions which were proctored by teachers and the marks attained by the students reflected the effectiveness of the programme. Results: The perception score of the students was better for live classes than that for the online session. There is no significant difference between the marks scored after the online session when compared to the marks scored when live lectures were being taken. Conclusion: The medical students have been benefitted by this exercise during the pandemic. Further, this mode of teaching should be implemented when regular classes will go on.
Students’ Perceptions of the Twists and Turns of E-learning in the Midst of the Covid 19 Outbreak

The pandemic corona virus 2019 (COVID-19) has become an international concern and poses challenges to psychological resilience in all fields, one of which is education. Therefore an effective learning strategy is needed to deal with this pandemic. The purpose of this study was to survey students spread across various universities in Indonesia and Malaysia regarding e-learning systems conducted during the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia and Malaysia in 2020, e-learning systems starting from student knowledge about e-learning, planning elearning, implementing e-learning until evaluating e-learning activities. Data will be used for future reference. This research is a descriptive study with cross sectional approach. The Likert scale survey method is used with a total of 136 student respondents from tertiary institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia. The results of the analysis show that students know e-learning as a distance learning system in dealing with the current pandemic corona virus, 51% expressed agreement related to e-learning preparation, 38% stated neutral in e-learning planning and 68% stated neutral in evaluating the implementation of e-learning. Student assessment and good perception about e-learning play a big role in the implementation of learning with e-learning. E-learning has a positive impact and has become an alternative learning process for lecturers and students. Good preparation is needed in implementing e-learning so that e-learning activities can be carried out effectively. Interaction can be developed and limited conditions through face-to-face meetings can be answered through e-learning activities.

Abstract The recent period has been affected by an unpredictable crisis that has shaken the foundation of the education system, since it was impossible for students of all levels to attend school during an unprecedented health catastrophe. In this study, the objective was to examine a blueprint for online teaching activities and learn how to conduct online teaching with primary, secondary, and higher secondary-level teachers during this pandemic. In this case, the researcher developed online questionnaires using Google Forms for the collection of data from the teachers of Ahmedabad who participated in online instruction during the period of this study. Across all three levels of the school, the researcher found that a large majority of teachers prefer teaching students offline than online, as they were dealing with numerous problems while teaching. Since many students were facing issues like internet limitations, gadget size, and disturbance of other students, most teachers opt to teach both practical and theoretical subjects in the classroom rather than online. Finally, hammering the last nail, the survey researcher analyses show that many selected teachers agree that online courses can improve their efficiency in teaching experience, but the opposite is true as well: online teaching is on the rise.
