“Pemalang pusere Jawa“: A City Branding Model in Promoting Tourism Destination of Pemalang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia

This research aims to analyze the City Branding model “Pemalang pusere Jawa” in Pemalang Regency, which focuses on the strategy of the Government to develop a new brand of Pemalang. “Pemalang pusere Jawa” has shown an impact on increasing tourism in Pemalang, Central Java, Indonesia. The Government supports the success of the City Branding program, and the people involved in the program, stakeholders, and culture, to boost tourism, which will have an impact on the economic sector and increase tourism significantly. Data were analyzed using the Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) approach in qualitative research that defines and explains distribution characteristics. Developing Tourism Village from Arts and the Citizens’ Activities (Case of Dago Pojok, Bandung, Indonesia)

Dago Pojok is an area located on Dago Pojok Street, Coblong district, Bandung, West Java. In this area, there is a village which is full of arts both the decoration and the citizens" activities. Because of its unique, this village is called "Kampung Kreatif Dago Pojok". In the past, this village was one of a troubled region because of motorcycle gang existed there. In 2003, a community called Taboo Community came to Dago Pojok for making art training to its citizens. The arts are mural, painting, wall decoration, statue, photography, traditional music instruments, and traditional games. In making this paper, the data are collected by interview to the initiator of "Kampung Kreatif Dago Pojok" direct observation, and studies from articles in several media. The data were analyzed by referring to the theories of innovation diffusion, social exchange, social learning, and organizational communication. Regional Development of Tourism in Ponorogo Regency, East Java

Ponorogo Regency in East Java has natural resources, as well as the potential typical culture, and a society that can be developed into tourism attractions. This study was aimed to assess these potentials that can be then optimally developed, with factors that support the construction of tourism in Regency of Ponorogo. In carrying out the development of tourism in Ponorogo, there are several constraint or barrier factors, including access to transportation facilities and infrastructure which are still minimum and not optimal, access of the road and cross facilities is still less than the expectation, make it difficult for visitors to access tourism in Ponorogo. To solve this problem, we should implement the good cooperations, for all parties to jointly together in solving those problems.

Study on Identification and Projection of Tourist Visit Cycles in the 2nd PPKM Period (Aspect Study on Tourism Branding Development at Pantai 9, Bringsang Village, Sumenep Regency, East Java)

The step of deepening the issue of tourism development was taken as a result of the 2nd PPKM period from the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2nd PPKM period in Gili Genting Islands, Pantai 9, Bringsang Village, Sumenep Regency, East Java had a fairly serious impact on the issue of resilience in the development of the creative economy, especially in the tourism appeal section. This is due to the deficit of several strategic tourism destinations for the development of the creative economy in Gili Genting. This causes the price of the value of revenue development from tourist destinations in the creative economy sector to increase quite high compared to several other provinces in Indonesia. Therefore, local governments as policy makers have a high enough interest in maintaining the sustainability of strategic tourist destinations, especially the development of the creative economy by way of tourism branding. This research is a comparative study of the volatility of the value of income development from tourist destinations in the creative economy sector on Beach 9 before the COVID-19 pandemic and after the 2nd PPKM. The data used is time series data on the value of income development from tourist destinations, especially the creative economy sector on Pantai 9 in the period October 2018 to October 2021. The data analysis technique uses the Vector Autoregression (VAR)/Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method with the help of EViews software.. The results of this study indicate that the existence and sustainability of the Pantai 9 tourist destination is predicted to increase significantly after the COVID-19 pandemic ends and will be better than before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Development Stage of Tourism Objects in Malang Regency, East Java

Malang Regency has many tourism potentials such as natural attraction and cultural attraction. Tourism potentials need to be supported by facilities and infrastructure that are optimal for the development so that they can attract tourists. Some tourism objects in Malang Regency does not have complete facilities to support tourist. This study aims to determine the development stage of tourism objects and analyze the correlation between development stage of tourism objects with tourism organizer. Creative tourism is a new type of tourism with different concept and fresh compared to the concept of Cultural Tourism. Creative Tourism is more focused on the involvement of tourists to be active in tourism activities, and it is necessary to involve local communities and informal activities. One of tourist destinations related to creative tourism is Kampung Wisata Kreatif Dago Pojok (Dago Pojok Creative Tourism Village) located in Bandung, west Java, that presents the atmosphere of the town. This research aimed to see how the leaders of this village managed this area which has been claimed as a creative tourism village. The research was also conducted to examine the visitors' opinion about this tourist destination and the reasons they visited this place. The research method used was descriptive quantitative correlational. The research instrument was questionnaire followed up with interview and observation. Statistical calculation was done to find the mean value of indicators and correlation value of the variables under study. The results showed that there were 15 existing tourism activities in Kampung Wisata Kreatif Dago Pojok, but only 8 of them belong to the creative tourism category. The correlation test results showed the moderate relationship between creative tourism in Kampung Wisata Kreatif Dago Pojok and the reason of tourists coming, and the influence of creative tourism toward the reason of visiting was only 29%. Visitors' internal reasons to come to Kampung Wisata Kreatif Dago Pojok was higher than their external reasons.

Policy Strategy Development Tourism South Cianjur in Cianjur Regency, West Java

Tourism has grown spectacularly as a mainstay sector of various countries in gaining foreign exchange and economic growth, including Indonesia. Likewise for one of the regions in Indonesia, namely Cianjur Regency which has many attractive tourist destinations and become tourist attractions such as Cipanas. Tourism in Cianjur Regency is not only North Cianjur but also in South Cianjur has very potential tourism potential. But unfortunately the management is not optimal so that its potential has not been explored. Therefore, this study will examine the extent of Cianjur Regency tourism policy in developing South Cianjur tourism. This study uses descriptive analysis method to explore the objects studied with the type of data used by data through direct interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the policies that have been implemented have not been able to improve the performance of the tourism sector optimally. Some indicators that have not been optimal include infrastructure development, tourism promotion and commitment in policy implementation.

A Study of Indigenous Tourism Product Development Case Study: The Baduy, South Banten, West Java

This phenomenon occurs in one of the indigenous village of Baduy tribes, where the village is "isolated" from modern development of urban areas. The data have been collected are then combined using two approaches both quantitative and qualitative or known as a "multi-method". Data obtained through questionnaires was presented by the chart (in the form of quantitative), and described into a sentence. This study found that the Baduy village has a variety of potential that can be packaged as a tourism product, such as: have the cultural and natural attractions that still maintained its authenticity, a location away from the frenetic urban communities began receiving tourism activities. Surveys in this study also found that, variables such as cultural tourism products, local communities and nature is considered very important and can attract urban travelers. This is evidenced by the results of the questionnaire, where tourists visiting Baduy village, dominated by teenagers who mostly still a student and travel in groups. While the motivation of their visit was mostly to leisure in a way out of the urban routine. The effects of tourism activities on the socio-cultural environment, the economy and the environment have not seen significantly. Advice and feedback to the Baduy Tourism Village are to strengthen the rules and regulations village environment so as to anticipate the changes that can occur if the pressure changes constantly occur tourism at the Tourism Village Baduy.
