Examining the Situations Experienced by University Students in Post Covid-19 Pandemic

In this research, it is aimed to reveal the situations experienced by university students regarding Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath. The research was conducted by a qualitative research design, and data were collected using a semi-structured interview form from 31 junior students attending a Faculty of Education. The collected data were analysed by content analysis. As a result of the research, it is understood that the students are satisfied to have returned to face-to-face education. Overcrowded school and dormitory make it difficult to comply with the measures taken, and cause problems related to cleaning. It has been found that the rate of compliance of students with pandemic measures at school is higher than in dormitories. The majority of students identified having problems with wearing masks, obeying social distancing and following hygiene rules. It is understood that Covid-19 pandemic has made life difficult and people unhappy and hopeless. It is found that people have been bored with the pandemic, they have been worried about the risk of infections, so they socialize and communicate less and treat each other more coldly.

An Analysis of the Psychosocial Challenges Faced by the University Students During COVID-19 Pandemic, and the Students’ Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Toward the Disease

Introduction: The aims of the present study were 1) to identify the major psychosocial challenges faced by students of a university in Istanbul, during the initial period of the COVID-19 outbreak, 2) to assess how these interacted with their level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices toward COVID-19 and the related health measures in place. Methods: As part of an international research, a total of 2583 university students from Istanbul participated in an online survey, which included questions in several domains including their studies and daily life before and after the outbreak, their concerns and worries about the pandemic, their level of knowledge on COVID-19, their views on the policies implemented by the government and their institution, their attitude and practices toward the protective measures. Results: Majority of the students reported to suffer from financial adversities due to the outbreak. The closure of residential facilities and the cancellation of face-to-face lectures resulted in the vast majority of the students moving back to their family home. Their daily routines were largely replaced by individual home activities, and social interactions shifted almost totally to digital platforms. They also reported high levels of anxiety and worries concerning a wide range of the possible detrimental outcomes of COVID-19, which were in close association with their knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards the disease, as well as their adherence to the policy measures and their satisfaction with the policies of the government. Conclusion: These results may help policymakers in better understanding the psychosocial impacts of COVID-19 on the life of university students, and to develop more comprehensive strategies to address their multifaceted struggles, as well as to improve their compliance with the health measures in the future.

The Impact and Strategy for Combating the Outbreak Covid-19 in Student

This study aims to find the social impact, morals, and strategies for dealing with COVID-19 among students. Another goal is to find out the social, religious and psychological impact of COVID-19 on students at Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. The research method approach uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected by in-depth interviews with the head of the student class. Students of pedagogy on social relations at the beginning of the pandemic – in the light of a qualitative analysis of their personal and social reflectiveness

The article presents partial results of qualitative research concerning opinions of pedagogy students on the psychological - social situation experienced by people at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The necessity of limiting the transmission of the virus sentenced whole societies to home confinement, limited their mobility and people - to - people contacts, brought the world to a standstill. For many, it also became an inspiration to reflect on the current hierarchy of values. 36 students of the Maria Grzegorzewska Universitywere the sample of the research and they were divided into two age groups - those beginning their studies and those finishing them. They were asked to prepare short essays collecting their reflections from the first stage of the pandemic. The texts were analysed in accordance with the research methodology. There were 4 key categories singled out in the students’ utterances, which made it possible to show the group differences in their attitude towards discussed issues. The younger respondents were more concentrated on their personal perspective and their opinions were more emotional and optimistic. The older respondents showed more dis- tance towards reality, their remarks were bitter and targeted the issues of social policy, consumerism and egoism of modern societies, more frequently treating the question of the pandemic not as an end in itself but as a springboard for more thorough social criticism. Changes in college student health due to COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2): An approach in light of the emotional dimension

The current reality demands the appropriate management of a set of capabilities, skills, and personal and collective tools that allow solving the problems and needs of a transformed society. Caring for and teaching how to care for the physical and emotional health of students from a sociocultural approach is an important aspect that contributes to good academic performance, therefore, identifying some particularities related to the subject will favor the design and implementation of university public policies related to the promotion of integral health and care for life. Therefore, the objective of this research was to identify and analyze from an emotional dimension, the state of health, the presence of sleep disturbances, as well as the variations in eating habits that developed in the student community of the FES-Iztacala of the UNAM during the implementation of social distancing.

Undergraduate Students Affected by the Social Variables of Covid-19, a Case Study

The study examines the social and psychosocial undergraduate students' impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in a number of variables related to daily activities, family relations, university student relations and psychological health .Objectives study to find out the effect of lockdown during COVID-19 on the social and psychosocial aspects of undergraduate universities students. The study was conducted from 3-28 Dec 2020, a questionnaire was developed that was completed online using the Google Forms platform in order to reach the largest possible number of students. A random sample of students from the University of Bahri-Sudan was selected in the faculties of Humanities and Economics, taking into account homogeneity. And the disparity in the university community. The sample size was 132 students. The most important results of the study can be summed up in that there are no significant differences in the social and psychosocial impact of COVID-19 on students who were infected with the virus and who were non infected with regard to variables of daily activity and university relations, but we find that the lockdown has affected family relations and the mental health of people with Corona virus.

PROBLEMS FACED BY STUDENTS DURING THE OUTBREAK OF NOVEL CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19

The present paper aims to discuss the effect of Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and the problems caused especially to the students across the world. The primary purpose of this paper is to highlight the problems faced by students due to this pandemic. COVID-19 broke out in mid-month of December 2019 in Wuhan, China in a few months spread all over the world like electricity. WHO declared this virus as pandemic and students like other individuals are faced withdifferentacute problems such as physiological, psychological, social, socioeconomic , socio-emotional, medical and healthcare, safety and security and primarily educational. The increasing cases of this pandemic and deaths all over the world have also created fear among students.Moreover, social distancing, isolation and quarantine have also increased their fear to the extent that cases of suicide are being reported. The COVID-19 outbreak has affected the whole education system and led to the closing of all schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions. This virus has severely affected all stakeholders of these institutions, also including billions of students in the world. Since students face various other problems apart from the ones mentioned, they find it difficult to cope with the situation emerging out of the pandemic. On the top of it, the world was not fully prepared to face such pandemic.

In this study we aimed to investigate young college students’ experienced problems and support resources regarding online or distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic. We used an innovative technique, Online Photovoice (OPV) method to collect data. The Covid-19 Pandemic has affected everyone’s life. The main activity fields of each society were strongly impacted by the different measures imposed by authorities in order to limit and prevent the extension of this new disease. Students are one of the vulnerable categories, influenced significantly by this situation since one of the social distancing measures implemented in most countries refers to school closure and classes suspension. The transition to online education undertaken in this context was a temporary solution, a quick fix, and its long-term implications need to be studied within further research.
