Development of economic is a must for a region, even though the region is classified as prosperous and prosperous. The Mining and Quarrying sectors, which dominates almost 30 percent of the Tanah Laut's economic structure, is experiencing a slowdown in economic growth and has resulted in an increase in the percentage of poor people in Tanah Laut District over the past five years. Agricultural Sector which occupies second position in Tanah Laut Regency economy is expected to be the driving force of the economy and reduce the poverty rate. Agricultural-based economic development is one way to drive the economy in Tanah Laut Regency. This study aims to identify and analyze the agricultural subsector that can be superior in driving the economy of Tanah Laut Regency. Research location in Tanah Laut Regency with research time from November 2017 until May 2018. The data used in this research is secondary data during 2001-2016 obtained from BPS-Statistics Indonesia. Analyzer used is area potential analysis by calculating Location Quotient index and Shift Share Index. The results showed that the sub-sectors having comparative advantages from Location Quotient analysis were livestock sub-sector, agriculture and hunting service sub-sector, forestry sub-sector and logging and fishery sub-sector. While the sub-sectors that have competitive advantage from Shift Share analysis are fishery sub-sector, food crop sub-sector, livestock sub-sector and agriculture service sub-sector. The leading sub-sectors are the sub-sectors that have comparative and competitive advantages such as livestock sub-sector, agriculture service sub-sector and fishery sub-sector.

The contribution of agriculture which has increased each year has been encouraged to be a strategic area for the economic development of Sekadau Regency. However, weakness of planning policy, insufficient quantity, and quality of infrastructure are obstacles to developing strategic areas. This study aims to analyze the basis of sub-sectors and leading commodities of agriculture in Sekadau Regency. The research approach used an exploratory qualitative with descriptive analysis methods to get an overview of agricultural productivity and Location Quotient Analysis, Shift-Share Analysis, and Klassen Typology to get the leading commodities of agriculture. The results of the study show that the productivity level of the agricultural sub-sector in Sekadau Regency is quite diverse. The agricultural and progressive sub-sector in Sekadau Regency is owned by food crops and plantations. Central Sulawesi's agricultural sector is classified as a substantial sector. This study aims to identify the existence of the agricultural sector in the economic structure of Central Sulawesi. Data analysis used Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), and Shift Share Analysis methods. The data used is based from the Central Statistics Agency for Central Sulawesi and Indonesia in 2015-2020 based on constant prices. The results showed that the agricultural sector of Central Sulawesi was classified as the base sector with the highest average LQ value and was followed by the mining and quarrying sector. Meanwhile, the results of the DLQ analysis show that the agricultural sector is threatened with repositioning in the future. The combined analysis of LQ and DLQ indicates that the agricultural sector in Central Sulawesi is on a basic non-prospective. THE ROLE OF THE AGRICULTURE SECTOR IN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT DISPARITY IN PEGUNUNGAN ARFAK REGENCY

Developing inequality is a phenomenon that is always present in every process of development and varies between one region and another. Developing regions in Pegunungan Arfak regency still rely on the agricultural sector as a driving force of the development in their territory to reduce the disparity. This study aims to assess the potential of the agricultural leading sector at the Pegunungan Arfak regency, the level of the regional development disparity, as well as the role and the relevance of the leading sector of agriculture in regional development. The result based on LQ method, it showed that the leading sector of agriculture in Pegunungan Arfak regency consists of food crops sub sector, horticulture sub sector and plantation sub sector. At the same time, the result further suggested that the level of the development disparity, horizontally (among regions) showed high values refer to the Williamson Index about 0.86, as well as the level of the development imbalance, vertically (among community group's income) using the Gini Index had a value about 0.43. Agricultural leading sector is one of the factors that can be spurred on into a prime mover of the development in order to reduce the inequality of regional development.

Economic growth is an important aspect that reflects the success of a country or region’s economic development. The changes of its driving sectors mainly influence the changes in economic growth. This study aims to identify the leading economic sectors and analyze the sectoral shifts of the Teluk Bintuni regency’s economy. The data used in this study is the Gross Regional Domestic Product of both Teluk Bintuni Regency and Papua Barat province in the period from 2010 to 2018. In determining the leading sectors and analyzing the sector using Location Quotient and Shift-Share analysis. The results suggested that the manufacturing and mining, and quarrying sectors were the base sectors of Teluk Bintuni’s economy. The Contribution of Agricultural Sector Oneconomic Districts/Cities in North Sumatra Province

The agricultural sector is one of the most potential sectors to the growth and development of national economy, both in terms of income and employment. The contribution of the agricultural sector in Indonesia's development is no doubt. The purpose of this research is to know the contribution of agriculture sector in North Sumatra and contribution of agriculture sector to GRDP in every district/city in North Sumatra. The data used in this research is secondary data. The data collected is time series data from 2010 until 2014. Data analysis using description method and Location Quotion (LQ) method. The results showed that the agricultural sector is the sector that gives the largest contribution in the economy of North Sumatra. However, this contribution tends to decline from 2010-2014. The agricultural sector is a basic sector in 23 districts/cities in North Sumatra. Five districts/cities have the highest agricultural sector LQ scores are Kabupaten Karo (LQ 2.35), Nias Barat (LQ 2.33), West Phakpak Barat (LQ 2.31), Simalungun (2.26) and Nias Utara (LQ 2.20).

Realization of regional economic development requires policies that are endogenous development. Each region has a base sector as the main driving force in economic growth. The base sector must have resilience between other sectors and have a high contribution to the formation of total regional economic output. North Sumatra is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has a tendency towards economic structure in the agricultural sector. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of indicators (absorbed labor and agricultural land area) on economic growth in the agricultural sector in West Kalimantan. The methodology used in this research is quantitative and qualitative methods, the analysis method uses regression using panel data (cross section and time series), observation of data as much as 70 (5 x 14 districts / cities), for 5 years. The data processing process uses the EVIEWS computer program. Based on the results of the Hausman Test calculation test, the regression results and various tests that have been conducted show that labor absorbed and widely has a negative and significant effect on the economic growth of the agricultural sector in West Kalimantan, while the land area variable has a negative but not significant effect on the agricultural sector economic growth in West Kalimantan.
