Automated Reverse Braking System.

In this world mechatronics and automation of various systems have been developed just to reduce the time and human error. The automated braking system is a part of mechatronics. Presently the vehicle has alarm system for maintaining the safe distance between moving vehicle. When the vehicle gets too close to the object, the alarm is triggered this warns the driver about an object. But this feature has many problems and is prone to human error. We have developed a model,by using the same sensor system but with the automated breaking pneumatic system which restricts the backward motion of the vehicle. Our aim is to design the system which can avoid the accident in reversing the heavy loaded vehicles like trucks, buses and all the vehicles consisting of pneumatic braking system. For this purpose we have developed a model which consists of pneumatic cylinder, solenoid valve, IR sensors, control unit etc. which serves as the complete mechanism of automated braking system while reversing the vehicles.

Implementation of Automatic Reverse Braking System on

— Automation technology have provided us with various systems that reduces the time and human error. particularly four wheelers are very difficult to drive in the reverse direction. As personally one is very careful about, otherwise damage being caused to the vehicle. In view of this to provide a proper guidance to the vehicle in reverse direction, means are provided. Presently the vehicle has alarm system for maintaining the safe distance between vehicle and object while moving in reverse direction. When the vehicle gets too close to the object, the alarm is triggered this warns the driver about an object. But this feature has many problems and is prone to human error. have e nha nced t he f acility by usi ng automa when an obstacle is close by. Therefore, in this paper we propose an " Automatic Reverse Braking system " to prevent collision by using sensors to detect obstacles. The " Automatic Reverse Braking system " will process the sensor data and control t vehicle to prevent accidents caused by careless driving or difficulty in detecting objects in reverse path. In this controlling logic is implemented on FPGA using Xilinx software. The system designed by VHDL keeps a distance between the object and vehicle to prevent accidents

Intelligent Braking System using the IR Sensor

Most of the accidents in four wheeled vehicles occur because of failure of braking systems. Manual method of applying brakes is always dangerous as it leads to accidents. Unconsciousness of driver, failure in the linkages of braking systems, road conditions, uncontrollable speed of the vehicle and manual operation of braking systems are the reasons of accidents. It is necessary to control brakes automatically through electronics devices to minimize the accident problems. In this research paper we propose an effective methodology for automatic control of braking system to avoid accidents. In this technology we used Arduino, relays, IR transmitter and IR receiver for effective function of braking control system. This complete system can be fitted on to dashboard of a vehicle and effectively used for automatic control of braking system.

The purpose of the paper is to Design Smart hand braking system is to reduce the chances of accidents on the road. The paper gives you the detail about the parts and working of the smart braking system for long time by reducing collision of vehicles, which can adversely affect the safety and its assurance of quality. By accomplishing the aim of the project everyone can drive safely also which can be easily acceptable in the market. If the parking brake content is present manually in the braking system then it is not suitable for safe drive and further process. If the driver have lot of hectic driving schedule then it can increase the chances of accidents because of his tiredness. This paper gives the solution for the limitation of manually operating hand braking system or manually operated parking brake system which is time consuming process or operation. The parking brake or hand brake is a conventional method to apply the parking brake, as it takes much time, more space and more efforts. At the very start, When the vehicle is started or ignition is ON, This sends a signal to the control unit such that it reverse the high torque motor and parking brake will get remove. High torque motor releases automatically When the engine ignition is off, the motor works in the reverse direction to lock the hand brake. whenever driver will get distracted or sleep during the driving the sensor senses the distance between two vehicle and give one buzzer sound for the driver when the vehicle is too close And Similarly vehicle will get slow down.

Accidents are becoming increasingly common in India, due to the inability of drivers to apply brakes at the appropriate time. This is also due to an increase in the number of vehicles on the road which if not managed properly could make driving difficult.so a system must be designed to eliminate incidents that can compensate for drivers not being able to apply braking on time. The aim of this research is to design a system that can effectively scan the environment when driving and apply brakes to stop a vehicle front-end collision, as well as bumper extension. These operations were carried out using a pneumatic braking circuit and infrared sensors. The presence of the obstacle is detected by an IR sensor on the vehicle's front end. Due to its simplicity and ease of operation, pneumatic systems can be useful in automation. This is a pneumatic breaking circuit-based setup that can be used in cars as a smart vehicle assistant to help with safe driving.

Design and Fabrication of Automatic Braking System Using Ir Sensor

Now-a-days, there are perceptible road accidents occurring due to many reason. Carelessness of the driver is one of the reason for accident particularly during the night the main objective is to design a braking system, which gives alarm to the driver and also vibrate the seat of the vehicle at the back and also apply brake of the vehicle. The accident occurred caused by drowsy and when the driver wakes up he can’t be able to control the vehicle. The drowsiness is indented by the eye blink closure and blinking frequency through infrared sensor worn by the driver by means of spectacles frame or IRs. If the driver is drowsy then the system will give buzzer and the speed of vehicle reduced in 3 seconds .Also accelerometer sensor is mounted on spectacles frame for measuring and tilt angle. The advantage of this project is to minimize number of accident.

The technology of pneumatics has gained tremendous importance in the field of workplace rationalization and automation from old-fashioned timber works and coal mines to modern machine shops and space robots. It is therefore important that technicians and engineers should have a good knowledge of pneumatic system, air operated valves and accessories. The aim is to design and develop a control system based an intelligent electronically controlled automotive bumper activation system is called "AUTOMATIC PNEUMATIC BUMPER". This system is consists of IR transmitter and Receiver circuit, Control Unit, Pneumatic bumper system. The IR sensor is used to detect the obstacle. There is any obstacle closer to the vehicle (within 4 feet), the control signal is given to the bumper activation system. This bumper activation system is only activated the vehicle speed above 40-50 km per hour. This vehicle speed is sensed by the proximity sensor and this signal is given to the control unit and pneumatic bumper activation system.

The response time of drivers is different for everyone and varies person to person in such a panic situation and stopping distance varies some leads to accident and some prevailed the accident but of-course with serious damage. This project will help us to decrease response time by helping the driver while driving to stop in time or to minimize the stopping distance to prevent the collision. The distance between the vehicles or moving vehicle and the obstacle can be detected by using Ultrasonic sensors. We can also install a system that can communicate between vehicles to determine the gap between vehicles i.e., approaching vehicles either from front or back. Further commands can also added to help while driving. An Autonomous Braking system is an intelligent mechatronic system includes an Ultrasonic wave emitter provided on the front portion of a car producing and emitting Ultrasonic waves. An Ultrasonic receiver is also placed on the front portion of the car operatively receiving a reflective Ultrasonic wave signal. The reflected wave (detected pulse) gives the distance between the obstacle and the vehicle. Then a microcontroller is used to control the speed of the vehicle based on the detection pulse information to push the brake pedal and apply brake to the car stupendously for safety purpose. The use of computer or ECU (electronic control unit) is a major step towards improving the safety and performance of vehicles as well as driver safety. In this paper we have investigated one of the aspects of braking system. The design exercise is based on calculation. This paper illustrate the problems involved and future scope for intelligent braking system. I.
