Traversing the Pathway from Authentic Leadership to Extra-Role Performance: Decoding the Mediating Effects of Knowledge-Sharing Behavior and Employee Creativity

This research's primary aim was to analyze the significant influence of components of authentic leadership on knowledge-sharing behavior, employee creativity, and extra-role performance in Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector. This research utilized the quantitative primary research design approach. For this approach, data were collected from the healthcare sector organizations within Saudi Arabia. The study included 362 healthcare members and the data were collected with the help of a questionnaire using selfadministered and online methods. Data collection was conducted in three phases. SmartPLS4 and SPSS were used for data analysis. Statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, composite assessment analysis, and structural equation modeling, was conducted for data reliability, validity, and hypothesis testing. The study results showed that authentic leadership is crucial in promoting knowledge sharing and employee creativity, enhancing extra-role performance. Moreover, knowledge-sharing behavior and employee creativity mediate the relationship between authentic leadership and employee extra-role performance. Overall, using authentic leadership to strengthen knowledge-sharing behavior, employee creativity, and extra-role performance has a powerful effect on healthcare organizations, improving patient care and organizational efficiency. The study also provides the implications and importance of authentic leadership in the Saudi healthcare sector, considering the changes the Saudi work environment faces because of the implementation of Vision 2030.

The Influence of Authentic Leadership on Creativity and Innovativeness

This study analyzes how authentic leadership (AL) predicts innovativeness both directly and indirectly; through mediating role of employees' creativity. For analyzing the relationship, a survey on a sample of one hundred and forty two employees working in both manufacturing and service firms in Turkey is conducted in the research. The main findings are; AL has a positive relationship with employees' creativity; employees' creativity has a positive impact on innovativeness and AL has a positive relationship with innovativeness. The study contributes to understanding the role of AL on creativity and innovativeness. The empirical findings of this research will lead practitioners the value authentic leadership in trying to enhance creativity and innovativeness.

The Impact of Leadership on Boosting Employee Creativity: The Role of Knowledge Sharing as a Mediator

In this study, we examined the role that knowledge sharing plays in mediating the relationship between the employee trust in leadership and employee innovation in the service sector in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). We included 346 people employed in the service industry. According to the study’s findings, having faith in one’s leader has a beneficial and discernibly positive impact on the degree to which employees share their knowledge and innovate. Knowledge sharing has a positive and substantial effect on the creativity of employees, and vice versa. According to the study’s findings, the openness of leaders partially mediates the willingness of employees to try new things and share information, which is a consequence of the trust that employees have in their leaders and their willingness to experiment with new concepts.

Authentic leadership and its impact on creativity of nursing staff: A cross sectional questionnaire survey of Indian nurses and their supervisors

Background: Nurses play a dominant role in the healthcare sector. However, the working condition of nurses in India is far from satisfactory due to a variety of factors. This is further compounded by the lack of respect for nurses and their profession. Therefore, there is a need to examine factors that could mitigate this situation. Objective: The objective of this paper is to examine the relationship between authentic leadership and employee creativity, while determining the mediating effect of knowledge sharing behaviour and moderating effect of use of information technology on this association. Design: A questionnaire-based survey was used to collect the data. Macro process (Hayes) was used to examine the mediating role of knowledge sharing behaviour and the moderating role of use of information technology in the relationship between authentic leadership and employee creativity. Settings: Data was collected from 43 small-and medium-sized hospitals in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Participants: The participants in the present study were 405 nurses and their 81 supervisors from the above hospitals. Results: Results indicate that authentic leadership is positively linked to the creativity of employees. Further, knowledge sharing behaviour is found to mediate the relationship between authentic leadership and employee creativity, while use of information technology acts as a moderator between knowledge sharing behaviour and employee creativity. The findings of this investigation can help healthcare managers understand the importance of knowledge creation and knowledge sharing among healthcare workers. This paper draws attention to the need for hospital administrators to establish an appropriate information technology infrastructure to effectively manage the knowledge pool of the organization. This study also highlights the importance of effective leadership style, namely authentic leadership, in positively influencing employee creativity in healthcare institutions, a service oriented industry. Conclusion: This study contributes to existing research on authentic leadership and employee creativity by showing that knowledge sharing behaviour and use of information technology are important and relevant variables that affect the degree of influence that authentic leadership has on employee creativity.

Leader-member exchange as a mediator of the relationship between authentic leadership and employee creativity

The purpose of this study was to acquire meaningful insights on the determinants of creativity with a meticulous examination, and by dint of that, expand the concerned literature. To accomplish the same, a conceptual model that includes authentic leadership, employee creativity, and leader-member exchange (LMX) was methodically developed and evaluated. This research is a quantitative study incorporating a self-report survey. The data were amassed from hotel employees in Northern Cyprus. Data from 314 applicable surveys were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)-22 and analysis of a moment structures (AMOS)-18 programs. Based on the findings, it can be deduced that authentic leadership has a considerable impact on employee creativity, while LMX plays an intermediary role in this relationship. The results of this study are useful and relevant for both researchers and policymakers.

Effect of Employee Creativity on Project Performance with the Mediating Role of Knowledge Sharing and Moderating Role of Openness to Experience

Since almost last two decades employees creativity has been discussed immensely by the researchers. This study majorly focuses on the effect of employee creativity in project performance in project-based organizations of Pakistan. The mediating role of knowledge sharing in the effect of transactional leadership and transformational leadership on the organizational creativity

Purpose-The main aim of this study is to determine the mediating role of information sharing in the effect of trancastional and transformational leadership on organizational creativity. Methodology-In the research, quantitative research method was preferred and the data were collected via electronic surveys from livewares by convenience sampling method. As a result of the data collection process, 162 questionnaires were obtained. Findings-After obtaining the data, SPSS 23.0 program was used for statistical analysis such as validity and reliability analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and t-test and Anova tests in the context of demographic variables. Conclusion-It has been determined that transactional leadership and transformational leadership have a significant effect on knowledge sharing and organizational creativity. At the same time, it has been determined that information sharing has no mediating role in the effect of transactional leadership on organizational creativity and that information sharing has partial mediating role in the effect of transformational leadership on organizational creativity.

An Investigation of the Effects of Authentic Leadership on Individual Creativity: A Research within Packaging Sector

Leadership has a significant role in highly competitive business environment for the sustainable success of the organization. In this competitive environment, individual creativity as an important factor of innovation is getting more and more important for the success of organization as well. Within this context, in this study it is aimed to investigate the effects of authentic leadership on individual creativity. Within the scope of the study, the survey was conducted with 177 employees working in sales and sales support positions in a global packaging company. As a general purpose of this research, it was found that authentic leadership significantly affects individual creativity. Other purpose of this study is to determine the effects of authentic leadership subdimensions on individual creativity. The results of this study show that balanced processing and self-awareness significantly affects individual creativity. However, relational transparency and internalized moral perspective do not significantly affect on individual creativity.
