Creation of a Digital Repository by analyzing the urgent implementation of Emergency Remote Teaching in the public basic education network in Brazil in the context of the Covid-19 Pandemic (Atena Editora), 2022
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, relationships that were previously face-to-face were replaced by virtual ones. One of these relationships is that of teaching and learning, which, given the context of social isolation resulting from the need to contain the spread of this virus, needed to be rethought. The adoption of Emergency Remote Teaching comes up against issues related to social differences and the exclusions resulting from them, including digital exclusion, forcing society to review its values. Through a look at the current legislation on Brazilian education, related to national and international recommendations, in the face of public policies and actions coordinated by state education departments, this work presents an analysis of the context through a bibliographic review, raising points relevant to the implementation of Emergency Remote Teaching in Public Basic Education in Brazil and presenting information through a Digital Repository created to collaborate as a virtual source that centralizes some of the reflections on education in times of pandemic.
EDUCATION IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC: Lessons learned and shared

In 2020, the world was plagued by a pandemic that demanded the social isolation of people from all over the planet to prevent the rapid spread and overcrowding of hospitals. In the educational field, face-to-face classes have been suspended in more than 150 countries. Some institutions started to use technological resources to offer remote education. The pandemic highlighted issues such as the unpreparedness of education systems and teachers, inequalities in access to the internet and students' computers, among others. Considering that technologies have been part of the daily life of schools for more than 30 years, in this atypical moment there is a strangeness among teachers in their improvised use with their students. This article aims to reflect what this pandemic situation has taught us about online education in Brazil and the perspectives that we can see in this field in the post-pandemic scenario.

The COVID-19 pandemic has generated significant impacts in all areas, such as health, economy, and education, the latter culminating in the suspension of face-to-face classes. Also, it has reduced the time dedicated to classes and generated numerous problems for teachers, as this has hampered both the transfer of content and the development of the entire teaching-learning process. It is noted that the platforms are used to publish fixed activities, texts, and others, aimed at classes that require more time but which, in short, do not have more excellent aggregate knowledge. This research aimed to analyze the challenges faced by high school teachers, from the state public network of the city of Parnaíba-PI, in the teaching-learning process, at a distance. It used the scientific-technological method to seek answers to the following guiding questions: a) how does distance learning happen in-state public schools in that municipality, b) analyze the strategies and tools used by schools for the operationalization of distance learning, c) identify the methods used, and d) the main difficulties faced by teachers in their distance classes. It is a case study, exploratory-descriptive research, with a qualitative approach. The results showed significant obstacles due to the pandemic's changes, constituting barriers to the learning process being carried out successfully. There are several challenges to overcome in this form of teaching, from the capacity of technical resources to the emotional problems triggered. The analysis showed that the most significant difficulties encountered by teachers during teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic were: 1) lack of quality internet access; 2) lack of motivation; 3) lack of adequate access to technological issues; 4) overwork; 5) lack of interaction with students; 6) socio-emotional issues: uncertainties, anxiety, insecurity.

Distance education in Brazil is not recent. Although its beginnings date back to the first half of the 20th century, public policies on distance education began in the country in the 1960s and 1970s. Public education digital technology access and remote education in the COVID 19 pandemic in Brazil

This study endeavors to provide a comprehensive overview of the availability and utilization of digital technology in elementary education during the COVID-19 pandemic while analyzing the educational policies within the Brazilian public education system. By analyzing relevant documents, the findings expose disparities in internet usage among students from public and private schools, which is attributed to the correlation between digital technology access and family income. In addition, pronounced regional and territorial inequalities in education emerge, notably between the Northeast and South regions, as well as between rural and urban areas. The data further revealed that approximately one million students enrolled in public high schools lacked internet access in 2019, posing major challenges for public educational institutions in implementing remote teaching in 2020. The gravity of the situation is exacerbated by the absence of envisioned public policies aimed at providing extensive and secure digital resources to nurture inclusive education for all.
Digital inequalities and education in Brazil during the COVID 19 pandemic

In the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a federal government that stands as an enemy to education, such inequalities are accentuated. In this sense, our proposal is, from the sum of our research experiences on technology and education, to draw lines of analysis that help to understand how the process of migration of basic education and higher education to digital platforms unfolded. The inspiration for this essay comes from our previous research and our involvement with situations - both at the university and in our fields of research, and personal lives - that show how urgent the debate regarding distance education/remote learning is, particularly considering questions of inequality and social markers of difference. We start from a perspective that does not demonize or believe in catastrophic visions of technology, but that proposes to think about its many uses and the many contexts in which it is inserted in order to better understand the challenges that these uses contain.

The data shows teachers' experience of online teaching during the quarantine of the COVID 19. The data aims to find out both challenges that teachers face and successes that they have achieved when shifting to online education during the pandemic of the COVID 19. Using a survey with 107 teachers from Brazil and Vietnam (57 Vietnamese teachers and 50 Brazilian teachers), the data finds out some key challenges of online teaching, including: (i) the interaction inside and outside the classroom, (ii) physical access to technology, (iii) health issues (especially in terms of mentality), (iv) and adaptation of methodologies. Regarding the successes, the data identifies some achievements that teachers have succeeded related to professional improvement, including: (i) technology skills, (ii) adaptation of teaching methods, and (iii) interaction with students.

The present work is the result of the concerns of the authors, who, during their doctoral training in a postgraduate program in education, had face-to-face classes suspended, and observed an escalation of replacement of face-to-face classes with other training actions mediated by digital technologies. information and communication (TDIC), perceive limits and possibilities for reflection on current practices in this area. Thus, the text presented here is an inflection to the objects and objectives of the studies for the doctoral thesis, but it is justified by the urgency of this process in view of facing educational issues in a period of pandemic due to Covid-19, an infectious disease that led us to everyone to a forced and necessary quarantine, making weaknesses emerge in higher education in Brazil regarding the uses of TDIC. We see this exploratory study as necessary, and we understand it to be a report of our participation at that time, contrasting distance learning and its characteristics with the model adopted, in pandemic times, which we can call emergency remote teaching.
Pandemic and Education: notes from the Brazilian context

This is an essay that addresses issues related to learning and its possible enhancements through the use of technologies. In the year 2020, amid the moment when all of humanity was affected due to the advent of a pandemic, caused by COVID-19, abrupt changes occurred in all instances. Schools did not go unscathed by all the changes that millions of people were affected by. In the present essay, the authors discuss the problems of this pandemic moment, inviting readers to think about the current moment, having at sight the unequal possibilities that have risen by the educational process mediated by technologies and digital medias.
