Use of Application Variations on Online Teaching and Learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic Era

The government's use of social distancing has a considerable influence on many institution learning activities. Most instructors use social media apps like WhatsApp to coordinate learning and debate. The most prevalent roadblock encountered during the introduction of online learning is lecturers' and student teacher candidates' inadequate internet connectivity. This study aims to investigate the problems and solutions that teachers face during the Covid-19 pandemic that teachers need to teach and learn online. This survey is a descriptive survey using the online survey method. The data was collected using an online survey from 25 respondents to teacher of St. Thomas School, Thrissur. We found that 100% of St. Thomas School, Thrissur respondents completed online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the results, 100% of teachers learn the online model. In addition, in implementing e-learning, teachers use many different applications such as WhatsApp Web, Google Classroom, Zoom Meeting, Webinar and YouTube. WhatsApp is the primary app choice for teachers. It claims that 100% of teachers are first choice.

Outcome of Online Teaching-Learning over Traditional Education during Covid-19 Pandemic

The purpose of this study is to assess the impact, issues, and tools of online teaching-learning throughout the various higher educational bodies (colleges/Universities) across India. An online survey was conducted from 29th June to 20th July 2020. The questionnaire has closedended questions with multiple choice answer options for analysis using quantitative methods. During the investigation, it has been observed online teaching played a crucial role in education during the COVID-19 pandemic but lack of resources and proper training are the major issues during ICT based/Online teaching-learning. The problem in the selection of a perfect tool for teaching-learning electronically was the reason that could not make it impactful as compared to the conventional education system. This study will help government authorities, educational bodies to draft a training/advisory program for students and teachers to overcome the issues found in the study. It will help in making online education a more attractive and powerful medium for teachinglearning activities that ensure the development of young scholars, skill-set, employability.

A Descriptive Study on the Challenges and Interventions of Traditional vs. Online Learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Classroom was the keystone of the formal education system and the success of the learning-teaching activity relied on efficient classroom management. As COVID-19 affects the educational system in the Philippines, a paradigmshifting approach from traditional to online learning modalities started to normalize. With this, several problems were now inevitable in the different online learning strategies for both students and faculty. Therefore, the goal of this study is to assess the challenges and interventions of traditional and online learning modalities amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a phenomenological research design and purposive sampling method to obtain qualitative data from the respondents. A total of 8 respondents out of 30 full-time faculty of the IASTE were subjects of this study. The finding affirmed that the challenges encountered by the faculty during pre-pandemic were expression of courtesy, tardiness, horseplaying, classroom management, and truancy. Interventions used to alleviate the challenges were verbal reprimand, escalation of the concerns to the authorities, attendance tracking, and recapitulation. During the pandemic period, challenges recorded in this study were coping mechanisms, internet connectivity, power interruption, and low specificity of E-device. The interventions that the faculty utilized to address the problems were providing workshops/training and webinars, reproduction of modules, and installation of DigiHubs. The results of this study could contribute not limited to the creation of an online classroom policy but also to enhance the learning competencies and knowledge acquisition of the student

This research aimed to investigate the cha l enges and opportunities of online learning system implementation from students' perspectives. In this survey research, 143 students of a private university were involved as the respondents. The respondents were third, fifth, and seventh-semester students from four different departments that have experienced learning English through an online learning system. The data of the research were gathered through administering an online survey to the respondents. The survey questionnaire covered items related to demographic information, online learning application, and cha l enges and opportunities of online learning. In the due course of time, we have been viewing advancement in technology and everyone started using various types of electronic devices and are getting connected with the network. Usage of Mobiles, Tablets, Laptops, etc., has become a necessity. Today teachers are utilizing virtual class rooms, taking classes from home. In this paper we try to identify various resources, techniques and methods which can help online learning activity more interactive and effective. The impact of online learning during COVID-19: students' and teachers' perspective

The purpose of this study was to conduct an online survey regarding teacher's and student's perception and experience related to online classes. Delivery of classes through online medium has been a recent modification brought out by the education system in India in the wake of the current pandemic situation. Thus, this survey describes college and university teachers and students' perceptions and concerns with regard to taking online classes that have been made mandatory in the wake of COVID19. The sample consisted of 70 teachers and 407 students from colleges and universities in Bangalore city. Online survey method was used for the purpose of data collection. The findings show that the following areas are important for teacher and student satisfaction with online classes, these areas are: quality and timely interaction between student and professor, technical support availability, structured online class modules, and modifications to accommodate conduction of practical classes.
