Evaluate the influence of e-learning on stress levels of students during the Covid-19 pandemic: a prospective cross-sectional study

COVID-19, the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection, has been declared a pandemic by the WHO in March 2020. This outbreak poses serious concerns to the global education system. Many educational institutions around the world have closed their campuses and moved to online teaching-learning mode. After the approval from UGC, the validation of online courses has increased in India. The digital initiatives of MHRD for secondary as well as higher education during COVID-19 are the Diksha portal covers e-Learning content for students, teachers, and parents associated with the program, video lessons, worksheets, textbooks, and assessments. Investigating Students’ Academic Stress on the Transition to Online Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic

This research is based on the situation of students at the State Islamic University Imam Bonjol Padang that were stressed due to the changing of learning process into online learning during the pandemic of covid-19.The study aims to describe students state based on physical response, emotion, and behaviour. Quantitative method with descriptive approach were used. The objects of the research were chosen based on Random sampling. The instrument used in the research were questionnaire based on Likert. The research found that the level of academic stress based on physical response was high at 68 %, while in emotional response was 70 % and 65 % based on behaviour. The result of the research can be used as data to improve the quality and innovation of teaching and learning during the pandemic to avoid greater issues.

E-learning readiness and perceived stress among the university students of Bangladesh during COVID-19: a countrywide cross-sectional study

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has compelled all educational institutions from the conventional campus-based education system to e-learning worldwide. However, adapting to this new platform, e-learning readiness may cause perceived stress among students. This study aimed to examine the association between e-learning readiness and perceived e-learning stress and the relationship between sociodemographic and e-learning related factors. Results: A cross-sectional study was employed, where 1145 e-learning enrolled university students were surveyed. The result indicated that nearly 91% of students reported moderate (76.07%) to the higher level (14.85%) of perceived e-learning stress, whereas more than half of them (58.17%) were at the sub-optimum level of readiness. Furthermore, it was found that students with the sub-optimum level of readiness compared to optimum had a significantly higher chance of reporting moderate and high level of perceived e-learning stress. Besides, parents' highest education, residence, students' preference in (e-learning or learning format), and having any eye problems were associated with perceived e-learning stress. Conclusions: A sudden introduction of e-learning during the COVID-19 catastrophe has brought about challenges, including the students' readiness, that might exacerbate the perceived stress level in different ways. This study reported that most of the students were at sub-optimal levels of readiness and suffered from moderate to high levels of perceived e-learning stress. The findings should integrate into the education monitoring system to enhance students' coping strategies, incite readiness, straighten, and nourish existing policies.

The Impact of Extended E-Learning on Emotional Well-Being of Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Saudi Arabia

Educational institutions in Saudi Arabia extended e-learning until the third semester of the academic calendar to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection and to achieve 70% inoculation for the Saudi population. This study assesses the impact of extended e-learning and other associated stressors on the emotional health of university students in Saudi Arabia. An online cross-sectional survey collected data between the months of January–March 2021. The emotional signs of stress were measured by using a subset of items from the COVID-19 Adolescent Symptom and Psychological Experience Questionnaire (CASPE). The purpose of this research was to study factors affecting stress of online learning due to the COVID-19 situation at the Faculty of Education, Thailand National Sport University Chonburi Campus, and to create equations to predict the stress of students. Perspective on College Students' Academic Stress during the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Empirical Study in Jakarta Indonesia

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between online learning and academic load with academic stress during the Covid-19 pandemic in students who are studying online in Indonesia. This study uses online learning scales, academic load, and academic stress to measure each variable, using quantitative research methods, and simple random sampling data collection techniques. The number of subjects is 116 first-year second-semester students at seven colleges who are studying online in Indonesia. The results showed that there is a negative relationship between online learning and academic stress, there is a positive relationship between academic load and academic stress, and there is a relationship between online learning and academic load with academic stress in students. The research found online learning is the most dominant variable contributing to the academic stress of students in Indonesia.

Online learning is a learning activity by utilizing the internet network, local area network as a method of interacting in learning such as delivering material. Stress in this study is defined as a condition experienced by a person when there is a mismatch between the demands received and the ability to overcome them. This research is qualitative research using the Rapid Assessment Procedure design. The selection of samples or informants uses the principle of appropriateness, selected by purposive method or determines the criteria for informants who can provide information following the research objectives. Online learning has several causes including lack of concentration due to environmental disturbances, unstable internet network, many assignments from lecturers, lack of communication or social interaction. Online learning for FKM UMJ students is influenced by: lack of concentration due to environmental disturbances, unstable internet network, many assignments from lecturers, lack of communication or social interaction. The way to deal with stressful events in online learning can be done by doing positive activities, looking for calm or refreshing, managing time well.

Adolescents' Perceptions and Academic Stress towards Online Learning during COVID-19 Pandemic

Background: Corona virus disease (COVID-19) has completely changed the learning environment and experiences of adolescent learners. Aim: This study aimed to determine adolescents' perceptions and academic stress towards online learning during COVID-19 pandemic.
