The study investigated the impact of entrepreneurial skills on job creation and sustainable development amongst graduates of Automobile Technology of Government Technical Colleges in Rivers state. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The study area was Rivers state, Nigeria and the targeted population for the study was 100 comprised of 30 Automobile Teachers of NBTE accredited Technical Colleges, 40 Automobile Graduates of NBTE accredited Technical Colleges and 30 Automobile Industry workers of notable automobile maintenance workshops registered under Cooperate Affair Commission (CAC) were selected through random sampling technique. Two research questions were raised and answered using mean and standard deviation while two hypotheses formulated were tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at .05 alpha level of significance. The computation of the mean and ANOVA were carried out using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The instrument used for data collection was a 20-item structured questionnaire titled "Impact of Entrepreneurial Skills on Job Creation and Sustainable Development amongst Graduates of Automobile Technology of Government Technical Colleges in Rivers State Questionnaire (IESJCSDGATQ)" It was based on a 4-point modified rating scale, validated by three experts and its reliability was found at 0.73. Findings of the study brought to limelight, various genuine tools needed for national sustainability development. It was therefore recommended that Government creates an enabling environment for ample employment opportunities in the society through establishing cottage, small/medium scale enterprises in Rivers state and beyond as this would help in achieving entrepreneurial objectives.

Technical college curriculum is lacking entrepreneurial competencies required by the technical college students to become entrepreneurs upon graduation. The purpose of the study was to ascertain entrepreneurial competencies need by technical college students in Nigeria. The study was guided by a research question. A descriptive survey research was used in the study. The study population consists of 15 technical teachers. The tool used for the study was a structured questionnaire validated by three experts. The Cronbach Alpha reliability method was adopted to ascertain the internal consistency of the instrument that produced a reliability coefficient of 0.70. The collected data were analysed by means of mean and standard deviation to answer the research question. The major purpose of the study is to determine the entrepreneurial qualities through technical vocational education. A survey research design was adopted. Three research questions were used to guide the study. The population for the study consisted of 210 technical college students. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer three research questions. A structured questionnaire containing 34 items 11 was used for data collection. The instrument was subjected to face and content validation by three lecturers from the Department of Science and Technology Education. University of Lagos. Contemporary Entrepreneurial Competencies Among Undergraduates In Rivers State Polytechnics

This study investigated contemporary entrepreneurial competencies among undergraduates in Rivers State Polytechnics. Descriptive survey research design was adopted. The population was 2,555 with a sample size of 332, using Krechie and Morgan Table for determining a sample of a known population. Selfdeveloped questionnaire of five point rating scale was used. Face and contents validity were established using the opinions of three experts with trial-test on 20 students. Data collected were analyzed using Cronbach Alpha with a coefficient values of .90. Out of 332 copies of questionnaire distributed, 260 were correctly filled, retrieved, and used for data analysis. Arithmetic mean and standard deviation were used to analyze data from research question and spread in respondents' views. Inferential statistics of Analysis of Variance (One-way ANOVA) was used to test the null hypothesis. A Tukey Post Hoc Test of multiple comparisons was further conducted. Findings revealed that the level of self-management competencies acquired by undergraduates was at low level and the level of self-management competencies acquired by undergraduates in Rivers state polytechnics were based on (funding, self-management experience and education). Among other things, it was recommended that students should ensure that they go into private certificates programmes in contemporary entrepreneurial competencies with focus on self-management competencies, and parents should create room for self-management competencies experience via internship placement and education.
The study was designed to examine the influence of the demographic factors on the entrepreneurial intentions of motor vehicle mechanic students at technical college level in Niger State. One research question and three null hypotheses guided the study. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The study covered three technical colleges in Niger State one from each senatorial zone. A total of 457 respondents comprising of 386 male and 71 female students constituted the total population for the study. Frequency and percentage count was use to analyzed the demographic data of the respondents collected for the study; while One-way Analysis of the Variance (ANOVA) was used to test the null hypotheses formulated for the study at .05 level of significance. Findings revealed among others that certain factors such as age category, ethnic group and family background influence the entrepreneurial intentions of motor vehicle mechanic students at technical college level. Based on the findings it was recommended that motor vehicle mechanic students at technical college level should be mixed during entrepreneurship programmes with respect to their age category, family background and ethnic group and as this measure will go a long way to facilitate joint practical experimental training and learning that will lead to the discovery of entrepreneurship opportunities upon graduation .

Technicians have a crucial role in the industrial development and provision of the middle level manpower that in the long run might change the fortunes of Nigeria industrially and economically. Accordingly, entrepreneurship has an enormous contribution in most nations globally; it plays a fundamental part in the national and economic growth of any country. In this study, descriptive survey research design has been used for the collection of the data, which includes using a questionnaire to determine the respondents' opinions and views the target population of the study was 891 subjects constituting 650 teachers and 241 entrepreneurs. As a result, 254 teachers and as well as 110 entrepreneurs were drawn making the sampled subjects to be 364. The samples were drawn from the population using Krejcie and Morgan table (1970). For the selection of the sample, simple sample random technique was employed by applying snow ball. This study established 10 important elements of managerial entrepreneurial competencies. The study found that managerial entrepreneurial competencies are worth for inclusion into the technical college programs curriculum in Nigeria. Therefore, it is recommended that the curriculum needs to be reviewed to ensure that they meet the educational changes such as global trends, 21 st century education policies and the sustainable entrepreneurial trends.
Entrepreneurial ability is the capacity and willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit. It includes the application of professional knowledge, innovative ability and social ability. Entrepreneurial education is a prerequisite for addressing the problem of unemployment of school leavers (secondary and tertiary education graduates) in Nigeria as it prepares and equips them for their future pursuits. The study adopted for the study is the survey research type of the non-experimental design. Vocational and Technical Entrepreneur students from the Polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria participated in the study. The population consisted of all polytechnic students who are offering entrepreneurial courses in his or her departments. The Purposive sampling design was adopted in selecting the 100 students. Data collected were analysed using descriptive (percentages) and inferential statistics (correlation) at 0.5% level of significance. It is inferred from the results of the study that students' have a positive attitude towards entrepreneurship education; students have a great deal of entrepreneurial ability and students' entrepreneurial ability can positively and moderately affect their attitude to Entrepreneurial education. Moreover, the study recommended that educational stakeholders encourage students at all levels (especially at the tertiary) to put in more passion and time into entrepreneurial education as this will foster their ability viz a viz their attitude in the subject.

Determining the extent of entrepreneurial practice among engineering trade students in Technical Colleges in Katsina State, Nigeria, was the major goal of the study. The study used a descriptive survey research, and its sample size was 55 respondents, including 34 BBC students, 10 BBC instructors, and 9 administrators from the three GTCs in Katsina State. Whole-population sampling was utilized since the population was of an equitable size. The Entrepreneurship Awareness Questionnaire (EAQ), a structured questionnaire created by the researchers, was the tool utilized for data collection. The instrument was evaluated by three specialists, and Cronbach Alpha yielded a reliability rating of 0.86. The mean and standard deviation, together with an ANOVA with a 0.05 threshold, were used to answer the study questions and test the hypotheses. The results showed that engineering trade students at Katsina State's Government Technical Colleges have a modest level of awareness of entrepreneurship. Additionally, in Katsina State's Government Technical Colleges, engineering trade students exhibit a modest degree of interest in entrepreneurship. At order to increase awareness among technical college students, it was suggested that the government undertake entrepreneurial awareness campaigns in all government technical colleges. Additionally, frequent television programs should be produced by private persons who have excelled in entrepreneurship in order to spark students' interest in the field.
