The purposes of this research is to analyze the problem solving ability of student junior high school in solving social arithmetic test, the ability that hoped might by students is solving math test ability with good and true. Budiman states that fourt steps for solving the test, that are: identify sufficiency of data to solving the problem, make the model of math from any problem, pick and apply strategy for solving the problem, and then check the true of the result or the answer. This research was conducted to analyze the relationship between self confidence with the ability of mathematical problem solving of IX grade junior high school students. Research method is correlation analysis. The subject of this study consisted of 35 students of student in grade IX junior high school in Cimahi. Sampling technique using random technique. The test were done by giving about problem solving skills in the form of essay 5 items and self confidence questionnaire with Likert scale. Pengaruh Habit of Mind dan Self-Efficacy terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa

This study aimed to determine the effect of the habit of mind and self-efficacy on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The approach used is quantitative with the ex post facto method. The population in this study were all eighth-grade students at one of the SMP in Bekasi city. The sample taken amounted to 69 students. The instrument used is a test in the form of a description of the problem-solving ability, a habit of mind questionnaire, and a self-efficacy questionnaire. Simple and multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data in this study. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the influence of habit of mind on mathematical problem-solving abilities is equal to 22.1%, and there is an influence of self-efficacy on mathematical problem-solving abilities that is equal to 22.9%. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan cara-cara siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditinjau dari self efficacy siswa dan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis ditinjau dari self efficacy siswa pada materi himpunan kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Dau. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif- kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 32 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Dau. Subjek penelitian yang dipilih selanjutnya dikategorikan ke dalam klasifikasi tingkat self efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to analyze students' problem solving skills through problem solving ability test instruments and interviews at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak students. Students are selected based on class rankings which are then classified into three categories, there are 2 top-ranking students, 2 middle-ranking students, and 2 lower-ranking students. The score is seen from the indicator table according to Poyla. The data collection technique is by giving test questions in the form of essays to students and interviews with students at random, then analyzed according to the indicator table. The results obtained indicate that the problem solving ability of students is still low.

Analisis Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Ditinjau dari Self Efficacy Siswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP Negeri 5 Muara Enim ditinjau dari self-efficacy siswa pada materi aritmatika sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Muara Enim yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan angket self-efficacy siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; 1) self-efficacy siswa terdiri dari self-efficacy tinggi (9 siswa), sedang (6 siswa), rendah (9 siswa); 2) keterampilan mengatasi masalah di kelas tinggi (5 siswa), sedang (11 siswa), rendah (8 siswa); 3) siswa yang memiliki self-efficacy tinggi dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi dapat memenuhi keempat indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah, siswa selfefficacy sedang dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah sedang kurang mampu memenuhi keempat indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah serta siswa yang memiliki self-efficacy rendah dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah tidak mampu memenuhi indikator pemecahan masalah. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin baik self-efficacy siswa maka semakin mudah untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan semakin rendah self-efficacy siswa, semakin sulit untuk mengatasi masalah. Pengaruh Self Efficacy Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematik Siswa SMP

The purpose of this research is to analyze and examine in depth about the influence of self-efficacy on the ability to think critically mathematically of junior high school students. The research method used in this research is the correlational method with the quantitative approach using simple of 30 students of junior high school class VIII in one of junior high school in West Bandung Regency with high, medium, and low ability student classification. The instrument used consisted of the test of critical thinking ability of mathematics as much as 7 item and non-test in the form of the self-efficacy scale as many as 24 statement. The results of this study indicate that the ability to think critically mathematically junior high school students are positively influenced by self-efficacy amount 56,4 % and influenced by other factors of students self-efficacy amount 43,6 %.

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah melatih siswa dalam memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, menyelesaikan masalah, dan menafsirkan solusi. Siswa yang memahami konsep matematika memiliki kepercayaan diri yang tinggi dalam menyelesaikan masalah.
