Analysis of Poverty Level in Districts/Cities of Central Java

This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth, HDI, inflation, and unemployment to poverty level in Central Java regency / city. The method of analysis used in this study is a method of panel data analysis combination between time series with cross-sectional analysis as a data processing tool using Eviews 9. The model chosen in this research is the random effect model. The result of regression model of random effect shows that economic growth, ipm, and inflation have negative effect on poverty level. While unemployment positively affect the level of poverty. For F test, the variable of economic growth, HDI, inflation, and unemployment together (simultaneously) have an effect on poverty level.

Factors affecting poverty rates in West Java Province for the 2017-2020 period

This study aims to determine the factors that influence the poverty rate in the province of West Java for the period 2017-2020. In this study, the data used is secondary data with quantitative methods using panel data types where the number of samples is taken from 27 cities in the province of West Java. In this study, the results obtained are Partially the inflation variable has a positive and significant effect, Partially the income per capita variable positive and significant effect, Partially the variable of economic growth is positive and significant then Partially the income variable of People's Purchasing Power is positive and significant.

Open Unemployment Rate in The Province of East Java

Economic development is basically a series of policy efforts that have the aim of increasing the standard of living of the people, directing income distribution, and expanding employment opportunities. In efforts to develop the economy, employment is still a major issue. This is due to inequality in getting job opportunities. The growth in the number of the workforce with progress in various economic sectors is not balanced. The research seeks to study the effect of gross regional domestic product (GRDP), provincial minimum wage (PMW) and inflation on the open unemployment rate in East Java province. The research uses secondary data for the period 2006-2017 which consists of the value of GRDP, East Java PMW, East Java province inflation, and East Java province open unemployment rate. By applying regression using panel data regression analysis, the research results show that GRDP and Inflation has a negative and significant effect on the open unemployment rate in East Java. The PMW has a positive and significant effect on the open unemployment rate in East Java Province. Nevertheless, the research highlights effect relation and government policy instruments.

Analysis of the Effect of Unemployment Rate, RMW, and HDI on Poverty Rates in the Special Region of Yogyakarta

Poverty is one of the most complex problems in a country's economy, including in a region. Therefore, efforts to reduce poverty must be carried out comprehensively. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the unemployment rate, the Regional Minimum Wage (RMW), and the Human Development Index (IPM) on the poverty rate in the districts of Bantul, Sleman, Gunung Kidul, Kulon Progo, and the City of Yogyakarta in 2015-2019. The analytical method used is panel data regression random effect models (REM). This study indicates that the unemployment rate, regional minimum wage, and HDI simultaneously affect the poverty level. Partially, the unemployment rate is positively and not significantly correlated with the poverty rate.

The Effects of Economic Growth, Minimum Wage, Education, and Health on Poverty in Kudus, Central Java

Background: Poverty is a major problem from year to year for the central and local governments. Poverty makes the level of a government's economy not progress. This study aimed to analyze the effects of economic growth, education, health, and minimum wage on poverty in Kudus, Central Java. Subjects and Method: A cross sectional study was conducted in Kudus, Central Java. The data were obtained from the Central Java Statistics Agency from 1996 to 2020. The dependent variable was poverty. The independent variables were economic growth, education, health, and minimum wage. The data were analyzed by a multiple linear regression. Results: High economic growth (b=-0.18; 95% CI=-0.36 to-0.01; p= 0.014), higher education (b=-0.91; 95% CI=-1.58 to-0.28; p= 0.010), good health (b=-0.37; 95% CI=-0.49 to-0.25; p <0.001), and higher minimum wage (b=-1.35; 95% CI=-2.24 to-2.56; p= 0.018) were associated with decreased risk of poverty. Conclusion: Economic growth, minimum wage, education, and health decrease the risk of poverty.

Education, Unemployment, Minimum Wage And Health Impact On Poverty

The problem of poverty in East Java is heavily influenced by three main issues namely education, employment issues, and health problems. In the employment problem, there are two major problems namely unemployment and the minimum wage. In this study using a quantitative approach with variable used is the percentage of the highest education attained at the High School level, unemployment rate, minimum wage, and the life expectancy and the percentage of poverty in five districts in East Java province in the period 2012-2016. The analysis technique used is the technique of panel data analysis, and test equipment used is Eviews 10. The results of this study showed that partially that education and unemployment variables affect significantly while the minimum wage and health variables are not significant. And simultaneously all variables significantly influence poverty.

Population, Unemployment and Poverty: A Population Analysis in East Java Indonesia

The aim of this study was to analyze (1) the influence of Population Growth Rate, Economic Growth, Inflation and Investment Rate on Open Unemployment Rate, (2) the effect of Population Growth Rate, Economic Growth, Inflation Rate, Investment on poverty level indirectly through Open Unemployment Rate. The analysis used is path analysis. The results of the study (1) The rate of population growth has a negative and significant effect on economic growth; (2) Economic growth has a positive and significant effect on the inflation rate; (3) The level of inflation has a negative and significant effect on investment; (4) The rate of population growth has a negative and significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate; (5) Economic growth has a negative and significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate; (6) Inflation rate has a positive and significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate; (7) Investment has a positive and significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate; (8) The number of Open Unemployment has a positive and significant effect on the Poverty Level.

The Minimum Wage and Its Implications to The Open Unemployment Rate Covid-19 Pandemic in West Java

The escalation of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia really affected employment sector, as seen from the escalation of unemployment rate, especially in West Java. Based on data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of West Java Province in February 2021, the escalation in the open unemployment rate reached 8,75 million people. The impact of Covid-19 has also made business performer experience a decreasing income, making it difficult to pay wages. Unemployment causes psychological effects on individuals and reduces the level of welfare. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the minimum wage on the open unemployment rate in West Java. This study is associative research using a quantitative approach. The analytical method used in this study is simple regression analysis using secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) in 2015-2020 in West Java Province. The results showed that the minimum wage has no effect on the open unemployment rate. Analysis of Determinants of Poor Population in Central Java 2008-2017

One of the indicators socio-economic the success of development is a decrease in the number of poor people. Central Java is the province with the second largest number of poor people after East Java Province. This study aims to determine the effect of population growth rate, GDP per capita life expectancy (AHH), mean years of schooling (RLS) and purchasing power parity simultaneously and partially on the number of poor people in Central Java from 2008-2017. This study uses secondary data by using program Stata 14, the analysis technique used is multiple linear regression panel data. The results of the study showed that the population growth rate, GDP per capita, life expectancy (AHH), mean years of schooling (RLS) and purchasing power parity simultaneously have a significant effect on the number of poor people.
