The Process Of Teaching Writing At The Second Semester Of English Department In Muhammadiyah University Of Surakarta In 2014/ 2015 Academic Year

The objectives of the study are to describe the process of teaching writing at the second semester of English Department in Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta in 2014/ 2015 academic year and describe the problems faced by the teacher in teaching writing process. In this research,there are five components of teaching learning process that the writer analyze, such as: (1) Learning Objective. (2) The Syllabus. (3) The Material. (4) The Media. (5) The Technique and the problems faced by the teacher. This study is a descriptive qualitative research. The data are taken from observation, interview, and document. In collecting the data, the writer employs observation and interview. The technique for analyzing data is data reduction, data display, and conclusion and verification. The results of this study are: (1) Learning Objective of writing to make ths students able to develop paragraph and apply coherent and cohesion in making paragraph. A Portrait of Teaching Writing in Online Classroom

Nowadays, online classrooms are growing in popularity. Especially given the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia, which has forced online learning. This study aims to investigate online learning in EFL learners’ writing classrooms. This study uses a qualitative method and a descriptive qualitative research design to examine in detail how teachers teach EFL learners in online writing. Researchers collected data through the technique of nonparticipant observation, and the researcher "observes from the sidelines" the action being observed. The results of this study reveal that the observed teacher's teaching method is not consistent with the four reference strategies employed by the researchers. The four strategies include; building knowledge of field, modeling of text, joint construction of text, and independent construction of text. Because, after being observed, the teacher employs only one strategy to teach writing, specifically building knowledge of field.

The objectives of the study are to find out the ability of the students in writing descriptive text both before and after the treatment either at control group or experiment group; to find out the effectiveness of Interactive Media for teaching writing descriptive text; to find out what writing elements that received significant improvement after being taught by Interactive Media. The research investigates the implementation of teaching writing to the seventh grade student of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Surakarta. The study aims at decribing (1) the implementation of teaching writing and (2) the problems faced by the students at the seventh grade of SMP 4 Muhammadiyah Surakarta in 2015/2016 academic year. The Effect of Weblog Media Toward Writing Ability of the First Grade Students

Weblog is one of media that provides special features to learn writing. Thus, the aims of this research to see the effect of weblog media toward students' writing ability at SMK Manajemen Penerbangan Pekanbaru. The design of this research was quasi-experimental. The first grade students was the population in this research and it consists of two classess as sample. One experimental class and one control class. Data collection technique were the students' writing test consists of pre-test and post test to see the effect of weblog media on the students' writing ability. This research found that weblog media give significant effect toward students' writing ability of the first grade students at SMK Manajemen Penerbangan Pekanbaru.

The aim of this research is to produce a model of teaching English writing skill in an effective way for students of English Education Program in Indonesian Universities. The current research involves using the Research and Development for trying to seek a learning model for students of English Writing course. The teaching model arranged can be implemented conceptually and operationally. The models were developed based on theories of teaching writing. This research was conducted in the city of Banda Aceh. The model of teaching writing combines 3 aspects as a foundation. First, lecturer's input, Second, lecturer's correction, and third, written communication between students with foreign partners via email. The results showed a positive effect on the application of the model of learning writing. And in general it can be concluded that the teaching of writing by using the internet as a medium for writing exercises can be done to help students extending the exercise.
