Covid-19 and Sustainable Economic: How Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) Sharing and Empowering Society

The world economy experienced a slump during the Covid-19 outbreak caused the shaking of the world economic system. The role of Baznas in sustainable economic improvement has been carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the zakat distribution and management system in Baznas during the pandemic. This research data collection method uses field research and literature studies. This study explains that Baznas has distributed zakat in 4 sectors, namely Small Medium Enterprise business, health, scholarships, and natural disasters. In addition, the zakat distribution management system at the Bungo Regency Baznas has been very well regulated in an integrated and digitalized, so that the recipient data and the amount of zakat can be seen in quantization. Theoretically, this research becomes a reference for Baznas management during the Covid-19 outbreak, while practically it is enormous to optimize the role of Baznas to improve a sustainable economy.

Individual and Household Economic Recovery After the Covid-19 Through Temporary Waqf Program

It is historically proven that waqf plays a good role as the public financial source. The relevant shape of waqf for nowadays context is a temporaryone (waqf mu’aqqat). This study aims to offer a temporary waqf program as an alternative solution in both individual and household economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic through Jaring Pengaman Sosial. This research uses a qualitative approach and a library study presented descriptive-analytically. Roles of Waqf in Supporting Economy Recovery Post Covid-19 Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred since the end of 2019 has caused many problems in human life. The problems are not only in the health sector but also in the economy, education, and social welfare. This paper aims to identify the roles of waqf as an instrument that can be an alternative to overcome those economic and social problems. This study employed qualitative research designed using document analysis of journal articles, books, reports, online resources, policy documents, and related published material. Waqf has demonstrated its significant role in addressing the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, providing solutions in various sectors such as healthcare, social welfare, education, and economic recovery. Waqf has played an important role as a provider of relief and eased the burden on communities affected by the pandemic. In addition, another role that needs to be played by waqf manager (nazir) is to build collaboration between waqf institutions, governments, and international organizations are essential to ensure the sustainable utilization of waqf assets for the benefit of society. This study could shed light on how waqf institutions could plan, strategize, and implement appropriate measures to assist those affected by the pandemic in the future.

This study aims to determine the most dominant impact of the COVID-19 on Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) and to find the right solution to the problems faced by BMTs in Tasikmalaya. The method used in this research is descriptive mixed method (qualitative and quantitative) using Analytic Network Process (ANP). The results show that the impact of the pandemic on BMT finances is an increase the NPF ratio, and the solution to overcome this financial impact is the institutions should be more selective in terms of financing management, collateral, surveys, and financing risk. Impact on personnel or employees is the decrease in employee productivity, the solution is providing rewards to increase productivity, while the external impact affects the business stability of MSMEs who are the member of BMT, starting to get bottlenecks and went out of their business, and the solution is to provide business education to businessman.

Background: Direct cash assistance in Indonesia is organized by a mechanism in the form of compensation for cash, food, health insurance, and education with a target of three levels. The COVID-19 pandemic, which is currently being felt by the world's population, has had a lot of impacts, both by the government and even small communities. The real impact of Covid-19 is that it affects economic problems. One of the impacts that has a very big influence is economic problems. Global economic growth is also declining, marked by a declining world GDP of 2%. Indonesia's economy in the future will be very dependent on the process of handling this pandemic. This research explains the current state of MSMEs that are experiencing a recession, and how MSME actors can maintain their activities. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with the method of interviewing directly with first-party speakers and SWOT analysis. MSMEs are currently very influential during the pandemic in order to stabilize the economy.
