Evaluation of the safety performance in glass industry and providing strategies for management improvement (Case study: Performanve of the Isfahan glass factory as the largest glass manufacturing plant in the country)

Background and Objective: Millions of workers are being victims of work accidents each year. According to International Labour Organization, 120 millions of work accidents occur every year which lead to death or disability of many human resources. Method: This study, being the first one to consider the crystal and glass industry in the country, has been carried out in Isfahan Crystal and Glass Factory as the case study. This study is performed through comparing the data and statistics of the accidents, and evaluating and analyzing the rate of harms to the industry workers in a 12-year period (2001-2013). The management improvement strategies for sustainable development are presented according to the obtained results. The ultimate goal of this paper is to assess the safety indexes in crystal and glass industry to help enhance health and safety level of the work environment. Assessment and ranking of contractors from the point of view HSE performance using Multi-criteria decision making method (AHP and TOPSIS) in Imam Khomeini port complex

Background and Objective: Performance evaluation and the determination of the effectiveness of management systems, including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) management system, is inevitable to achieve constant improvement in organizations. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted to evaluate and rank contractors for Health and Safety Executive (HSE) performance using multicriteria decision making methods of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) in Imam Khomeini port complex. We also strived to provide management solutions to improve the HSE status of contractors in this complex. Results: After identifying 38 contractors, 4 criteria and 22 sub-criteria were determined by using Delphi technique, and then the criteria and sub-criteria were weighed and prioritized by using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method. The management criteria with the weight of 0.586 obtained the highest score and the environmental criteria with the weight of 0.0085 attained the lowest score. Also, the sub-criterion of the HSE professional staff with the weight of 0.272 obtained the highest and green space with the weight of 0.006 obtained the lowest weight. Finally, the contractors were assessed and ranked in terms of HSE performance using the TOPSIS technique. The results showed that in terms of HSE performance T.GH.KH, A.N.A and G.A companies with activity the port and sea service-aridity and vacating and loading installations with arrange points 0/9452, 0/9367 and 0/9264 ranked the first until third place. Also, contractors based on performance HSE were ranked in the three levels of good (9 contractors), moderate (22 contractors), and weak (7 contractors). Conclusion: According to the selected criteria, the performance of HSE management in the majority of contracting companies in a favorable situation. This situation can be attributed to the establishment of HSE management system and the level of contractors' compliance with the HSE requirements.

ک کمیته حسابرسی به عنوان یکی از مکانیزم‌های کلیدی راهبری شرکتی می‌تواند منجر به بهبود کیفیت افشا شرکت‌ها و کارایی بازار سرمایه شود. اعضای غیرموظف هیات‌مدیره نیز در تشکیل کمیته حسابرسی کارامد جهت ایفای وظیفه نظارتی، موثر هستند. از این رو، هدف این تحقیق این است که اثر نسبت غیرموظف اعضای هیات‌مدیره بر رابطه‌ی بین ویژگی‌های کمیته حسابرسی (تخصص مالی، تجربه، مدت تصدی سمت اعضای کمیته حسابرسی و اندازه کمیته حسابرسی) و کیفیت افشا شرکت‌های پذیرفته شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران را مورد بررسی قرار می‌دهد. در همین راستا، 71 شرکت پذیرفته شده در بورس و اوراق بهادار تهران در دوره زمانی 1391 تا 1392 انتخاب و پس از گردآوری اطلاعات مربوط، فرضیه‌های پژوهش با استفاده از نرم افزار ایویوز 7 مورد آزمون قرار گرفت. نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد بین دو ویژگی کمیته حسابرسی یعنی تجربه و مدت تصدی اعضای کمیته حسابرسی با کیفیت افشا شرکت‌ها رابطه‌ی مثبت و معناداری وجود دارد درحالی‌که بین تخصص و اندازه کمیته حسابرسی با کیفیت افشا رابطه‌ی مثبت معناداری مشاهده نگردید. علاوه بر این، یافته‌های این پژوهش حاکی از آن است نسبت غ...

The main aim of this study is to analyze Websites content quality in Iranian universities of technology. The method of this study is content analysis; one of the webometrics methods. Applied reaserch and content analysis method with analytical approach have been used in this paper. The research population is top ten Iranian technology universities selected according to their ISC latest version of university ranking. The required data for this paper was gathered based on keyword density and prominence, Meta tags, keyword & traffic organic, Text/HTML ratio, Unicode and duplicate content. All of these are indicators in content quality and used in this research for data extracting. Survey of Correlation between Ethical Climate and Organizational Commitment from the Viewpoints of Operating Room and Anesthesia Technologists in Hospitals Affiliated to Iran University of Medical Sciences

Introduction: Ethical climate determines how to make decisions in the organization based on ethical criteria leading to employee's satisfaction and quality of service. In a stressful environment of an operating room, the survey of the ethical climate can help to promote surgery properly. Furthermore, organizational commitment is one of the factors which determines the criteria for ethical decision making Objective: This study aimed to determine the correlation between ethical climate and organizational commitment from the viewpoints of operating room technologists and anesthesia technologists in hospitals affiliated to Iran University of Medical Sciences. Material and Methods: This descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study was performed on 161 operating room and anesthesia technologists working in the training hospitals of Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2019 by survey sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The material consisted of three parts including demographic information, the ethical climate of Victor and his colleague, and the organizational commitment of Allen and his colleague. To analyse the data, descriptive and analytical statistics including Mean and Pearson's correlation test were used (SPSS 20) the significance level was considered less than 0.05. Results: The mean age of the subjects was 33.02±7.18 years, ranging from 23 to 53 years old; 71.4% were females; 24.3% had undergraduate education and the rest were college students. The working experience of subjects was at most in the range of 1 to 5 years (41.6%). The most frequent field of specialization was general surgery (21.1%).The strongest ethical climate and organizational commitment were associated with "professionalism" and "continued commitment", respectively. The result of Pearson's test showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between ethical climate and organizational commitment. (P=0.002 and R=0.237). Moreover, a significant relationship was found between its dimensions (P<0.05) Discussion and Conclusion: The results of present study help hospital managers to identify the ethical climate and organizational commitment, administer curricula to institutionalize ethics, and ultimately enhance organizational commitment and sustain human capital.

Analysis of Societal security and Environment Security issues in Kurdistan-Iraq region from the perspective of the Copenhagen School after 2017

In this study, we tried within the framework of the Copenhagen School theory to study the problem of societal and environmental security of the Kurdistan region and identify security threats and risks in these areas. Because the Copenhagen School, by studying and presenting five aspects and sectors of security (political, military, societal, economic and environmental), tries to identify non-military issues within the framework of security problems.
