Abstract The recent period has been affected by an unpredictable crisis that has shaken the foundation of the education system, since it was impossible for students of all levels to attend school during an unprecedented health catastrophe. In this study, the objective was to examine a blueprint for online teaching activities and learn how to conduct online teaching with primary, secondary, and higher secondary-level teachers during this pandemic. In this case, the researcher developed online questionnaires using Google Forms for the collection of data from the teachers of Ahmedabad who participated in online instruction during the period of this study. Across all three levels of the school, the researcher found that a large majority of teachers prefer teaching students offline than online, as they were dealing with numerous problems while teaching. Since many students were facing issues like internet limitations, gadget size, and disturbance of other students, most teachers opt to teach both practical and theoretical subjects in the classroom rather than online. Finally, hammering the last nail, the survey researcher analyses show that many selected teachers agree that online courses can improve their efficiency in teaching experience, but the opposite is true as well: online teaching is on the rise. Key Words: Covid-19, Online Teaching, E-Learning, Remote Education.
Online teaching in Delhi-NCR schools in India during Covid-19 pandemic
Indian Journal of Science and Technology, 2020
Objectives: The spread of Covid 19 brought a sudden closure of schools in India, forcing them to take teaching completely online. This was an unprecedented situation in Indian schools where virtual teaching was never the norm. The pace of this technical intervention was so fast that it practically brought an educational revolution in the country. This led the researcher to conduct a survey for the teachers as well as students with the objectives to understand : 1. The major challenges faced by both the teachers and students, 2. The opportunities offered by the online teaching platform, 3.The attributes of online classes that can enhance the learning process, and 4. The lessons to be learnt about the efficacy of virtual classes. Methods: A survey was conducted for more than 500 teachers and approximately 1700 students of ten schools in Delhi National Capital Region in India. A questionnaire was administered to them through google forms. These schools were geographically scattered in the national capital region of Delhi and cater to different socioeconomic backgrounds. Findings: Online teaching in Indian schools is still in its infancy and is gradually getting more popular since it is now the need of the hour. Technical issues are the biggest challenge for teachers and students and connectivity causes major problems. The pedagogy required for online teaching needs refinement. Both teachers and students have expressed that they have faced health issues with greater exposure to screen time. Absence of face-to-face interaction of teachers and students affects the teaching learning experience. Novelty: This study provided valuable insight into refining the practices of online teaching and learning, a hitherto less explored field, in Indian scenario. It gives the perception of both teachers and students regarding the procedure of online teaching.

In spite of creating governmental and institutional supports, substantial researches confirm that students and teachers have been facing wide-ranging challenges associated with online teaching-learning. In the near future, digital education is likely to be incorporated side by side face-to-face education. Against this backdrop, this paper intends to peep into the degree of preparedness in West Bengal and in India nationally towards online teaching-learning in higher education sector. It primarily aims to explore the daunting challenges of online education in higher education sector (UG and PG level) particularly in the Indian state of West Bengal through the lens of students and teachers with an objective of proposing an evidence-based set of future roadmaps.

International Journal of Education and Management Engineering, 2020
The world has witnessed a sudden change in the teaching-learning processes due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19. The worldwide compulsive lockdown for ensuring the preventive measures to stop the spread of this infection has equally affected education sector as other business sectors. As all of us know that quality education is the only long-term rescue for all the challenges and therefore, the need to find out the alternative solution to the traditional classroom teachinglearning is the concern of all stakeholders and the only option found is online mode of teaching-learning, which was somehow already available and had attracted an intense attention during this period. The aim of the paper is to study the teacher's perspective in India about this mode of learning, challenges and issues faced by them in migration to online platform, experience about online tools/platforms used for instructional delivery and their suggestions to improve the process for effective teaching. This study will help in gaining insight towards the possible improvements in the ongoing mode of online teaching and in future situations also. The results obtained based on sample collection through web based questionnaire clearly gives some information, which could be an eye opener for enhancing the implementation of the online teachinglearning among the learners especially teachers, who can further help in implementation of the large. Although, the online mode was already in place and was utilized in blended form to a substantial level in the developed countries, but in developing countries like India, where teachers are not familiar with online platforms/tools, lack of knowledge and skills to handle the online ICT infrastructure in a challenging situation. The results also give an impression about the need of professional development with special focus on digital literacy skills and awareness among the teacher community about the merits of online platforms for the teaching-learning process.

Background: One severely impacted sector during a COVID-19 pandemic is the field of Medical Education. Initially, when the Medical students were sent home based on Government Lockdown orders, it was very hard to imagine that it would change the way of teaching especially in this field. After successfully adjusting to this new scenario the question of the hour is how many students and the teachers did adjust? What were their perceptions? And overall what was the effectiveness of this exercise? This study puts in a sincere effort to find the same. Methods: The student's and the teacher's perceptions were taken using Likert's scale when the online sessions were going on. Another student's perception was taken about a live lecture class in a classroom. The perception scores of the students were compared. An online test was taken after online sessions which were proctored by teachers and the marks attained by the students reflected the effectiveness of the programme. Results: The perception score of the students was better for live classes than that for the online session. There is no significant difference between the marks scored after the online session when compared to the marks scored when live lectures were being taken. Conclusion: The medical students have been benefitted by this exercise during the pandemic. Further, this mode of teaching should be implemented when regular classes will go on.
